The "unofficial" official trailer
Hey guys,
So, without further ado, I'd like to present, exclusivley to the members of this kick ass board, the trailer for DEAD CALLING, which has since replaced the title of "The Second Line." This trailer was shot with the intention of raising the rest of our money to get the film completed, a la, Within the Woods and Evil Dead. Enjoy! It looks pretty cool. I hope your plan works because it would be a shame if you guys weren't able to finish it. I think I like the original title of The Second Line better, but I can see why it was changed. Dead Calling sounds more like a horror movie.

Hmm, I don't know. I'm kind of half and half on it. There are parts that look really good and then there are parts where it just seems kind of "meh". Of course, this is only for the money so it shouldn't be expected to be extremely good. My fear, though, is that this is going to end up as a DTV type of flick, especially with the title. I liked The Second Line title a lot more. "Dead Calling" just seems like one of those flicks you pass in the video aisle that no one watches. Only time will tell. Knowing what kind of talent you guys have behind this, I'm hoping it will be awesome.

eh, it looks pretty good to me. I've seen far worse trailers that went on to be released in the theater. Trailers are supposed to make the viewer interested.
It served it's purpose for me. Looks good Can't wait!

Nice work, Mikey and crew. From the little that was shown, I took a notice to the colors and the camera shots.
Plus we got to see some Hagan and Soles action going on there. Always a pleasure. I too prefer the title, The Second Line. It seemed very fitting and dark when you think about the premise of the film. Why the change? Anyway, good-luck on raising the dough!

I actually had a chance to work with Mike on the shoot. I can tell you, this film IS going to get made. I had My avitars small role and "The Buzz" with the other actors was that of excitement and encouragement. The film is pretty intense, so I hope a studio doesn't force a re-write again. God Job Mike.

You'll have to do the ol' scarface trick. Keep editing and editing and then end up using the original version.Originally posted by Ouch, My Eyes

I think it looks really good. This trailer I viewed, is that the one you hope to release to the public? The reason I ask is that it may be a little too graphic for some, ya know the cut up face and the arrows in the eyes......other than that I like it

Looks fuckin' great in my opinion! Definitely a brilliant trailer to scare up some cash.
I especially appreciated the Un Chien Andalou moment there. This looks like it's going to be one gory film! I'm sure if (when!) it gets released theatrically it will need a few cuts to get an R. I liked The Second Line as a title, but I think for the tone that's being evoked in this trailer, Dead Calling makes more sense. Hey, at least it's not something hokey like "Dead Ringing" or something like that.

It looks interesting. It seems to me to have a Pet Semmatary sort of feel to me though. By the way, where's Brad?

It looks pretty damn good to me! I feel the music isn't right for it though. I didn't get all tense watching it like I do other horror movie trailers. "The Second Line" was an awesome name, but I get why it was changed. Actor list looks awesome, I can't wait.
