    Halloween Blu-Ray Review.

This one goes into more detail and comes at it through a fan's perspective. THX master fans will be irked, though the detail is fantastic.

Thanks for posting this! I checked out the comparison pictures and the Blu-ray shots look like crap! I won't be buying that version now

I just joined the Blu-ray world and was considering making Halloween my 4th Blu-ray purchase. But after looking at those night picture differences, not so much.

I bought it and watched it with a friend. Worth every dime I spent. Or $20.

Trust me, you'll probably notice things in the movie that you never noticed at all. It's just an enhancement to your viewing pleasure. Michael won't take off the mask and do backflips, but the detail is indeed amazing.

I finally got around to buying an HD tv, and the HD hook-up from DirecTV, but I haven't gotten around to getting a Blu-Ray player yet.

Also, that was a really good review, so when I get a Blu-Ray player I'll definitley pick up Halloween, and it sounds like the picture quality on a Blu-Ray disc is amazing.

No one's telling you to run out and buy it. To be honest, it may as well be the original transfer just gussied up.

The BD is very good, A kind of Hybrid between the Cundey THX version and the divimax to me this was good value for Money. My viewing Hardware was a 42 inch Panasonic Plasma and a Ps3. I really enjoyed this version. The quality was very crisp and clear. Although I prefer the Blue Filters in the Night-time cinematography in the Cundy Version, the Lightened scenes showed great detail and revealed a few things I hadnt previously noticed. Especially Annie in the Wallace laundry room. Ok I knew puriest's will have issues with the color correction, but I thought it was a great companion piece to the other versions. worth a look and make your own mind up!

I found it to be quite good looking. I noticed during the opening sequence some detail that I hadn't seen before. You can see cracks in the ceiling of the Myers house as Michael is walking up the stairs. Now, that was something that I thought was awesome.

True. I do like the Cundy Version with the blue filters. But the detail in Blu-Ray is sweet. I'll have to check out the scene with those ceiling cracks. I just love all the extra details that you couldn't see before.
