Hey, I thought this was cool and a few people might be interested. I remember hearing about the H5 screener on Ebay years back being a big hit. I only knew of Dimension ones for Halloween 6-8. Apparently they got CBS-FOX Halloween 4 and 5 too. I wonder if deep in the bowles of the Earth are hidden some Media or MCA screeners for Halloween 1-3. Hmm. Anyway. Here's the link to Ebay where they are selling Halloween 4-6 screeners...

Holy shit. So the H4 screener does exist. We had this huge debate and search for it a few years back and everyone came up empty. Now one pops up on ebay! Wait till Mikey see's this :D

I want that H5 screener! I have that H6 screener somewhere. I was working at a video store when it came out on tape and snatched it up. I didn't know they fetched so much money. i have the h20 screener somewhere aswell.

I guess no one wanted these. No bids and the auction has ended.

I wish he would sell just the H4 screener. I would buy that in a heartbeat. I don't think even Josh has one of those.

I always had a feeling the H4 screener existed. Now I want it more than ever!

A little cheaper too...and yeah...maybe he should sell them separately if he has no luck this time either. Probably have better luck.

If I win the auction I'd be more than happy to sell H5 and H6 for a reasonably low price. Of course H4 is the main attraction, and I really hope to win it, but the H5 - and even H6 - screeners are nothing to scoff at.

All three of these for $30! What a steal to whoever wins this thing.

Vince, best of luck to you man. If you win the H4 screener you'll the only person I've ever known to have one.

Thank you, Matt! It certainly would be exciting to own, as it must be the rarest Halloween videotape of all...perhaps second only to the H1 MEDA misprint. Hell, not even Josh owns this, you're right.

if you win the auction let me know as I want the h5 screener. i would put in a bid but I don't want to get into a bidding war with people on the board.

Looks like no bidders quite yet.

Either too many intimidated fans or everyone waiting for those stealthy last minute bids. I know I've done a few of those myself.

Years ago, I would have jumped on this one, though I do have the H6 screener from years ago I still cherish. Now I'm older, saving money for college, and not quite as diehard the fan I used to be...:worried:

Ah well, I'd still die for the series and never forget how much it's inspired me. Sorry...(snuffling)...I just get so sappy sometimes...

If you want to take a crack at it, go ahead! You shouldn't have to step aside because I'd like them...they're up for grabs for anybody. I'd feel bad if you didn't bid because of me or anyone else here, but wouldn't be mad if you outbid me or won or anything.

If I do win, you can have the H5 screener. I'll sell it for 1/3 of whatever I pay for the whole thing. Same applies to H6, for whoever is interested.

lmao. When I first posted I thought I saw the H4 logo beside it, meaning it would have been in the H4 forum. Saturday morning, don't me.

I'm going to be honest, I'm pretty burned out on stuff right now. I could get as much money from a savings account as I would probably need for this, but my collection already sits messed up in boxes. I'm getting blah about Halloween.

H-Field Hero

I understand what you're saying. What little collecting I used to do no longer goes on either. I would make an exception for something like the H4 screener or an H2 us one sheet and stuff like that. I was always cautious not to get too deep into the halloween collecting for fear that I would sit back one and realize "look at all the money i've spent on this shit". Fortunatly I kept it under control ;).

I'm thinking about selling my H2 sheet. No one even looks at it since it's put up in a dry dark place. I've got that one plus my Friday the 13th Jason Lives and I Love NY posters. I should sell those for the board.

You have a rolled one don't you?

Nah. I took a folded one for $40 that was in good condition. I think it's better than that, but who knows? I hate to say this, but I'm worried about this new movie and the influx of fans it will bring because of 1 name: Rob Zombie.

I've certainly spent way too much money on Halloween. I'm glad you kept it under control unlike some of us :p

My heyday of collecting memorabilia like crazy is over: I can afford it now better than ever, but I sort of lost the interest I used to have. :( There are some VHS's, posters, figurines, etc. I'd like to have, but it doesn't feel as important to me as it did once before. Of course I still look on Ebay, but only every now and then. If something catches my eye, I'll buy it. It's been a while though..

Of course I'll be tuning in for the final minutes of this auction, and will throw my hardest attempt to get it.

i'd certainly take it and right now my ebay hook up has been out of town so it's up to anyone else getting it.

That is why at the last minute you always bid high. I always win that way. Sorry to hear you lost the auction. I was going to bid but I decided that I would saev my money for Flashback Weekend next week.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but what are promotional screeners?

Pure Evil

I don't mean to sound stupid, but what are promotional screeners?

They're videos of a new movie before that movie actually comes out on VHS and DVD. Usually on the video there's the full-length movie and trailers for it and several other previews for upcoming releases. They're given to critics for reviews and retailers to decide if they want the movie or not.

That seems sort of hard to understand...but I think it's there. Maybe someone has a simpler explanation.
