I just found out this morning that i won the ebay auction for the Halloween 7inch Radio Ad Record.Only paid $20 for it & i was the only bidder which i was surprised at as i thought there would be more intrest in this item.
I'm mostly intrested in only HII memorabilia but i knew from what i had heard from a couple of the members here on the board that this item was pretty rare.
Below is a pic of the record i took from the auction page

Yep, that's a cool and rare item for sure! There are three different ones, two from 1978 (one is the one you now have), and one from the 1980 re-release.

That's a great piece of H1 memorabilia, Gerry - and $20 is a steal if you ask me. You did good!

Sweet item to add to your collection Gerry. I'm nitpicking here I guess, but from the picture the record looks like it's a 12" than 7. :D

awesome find especially for 20$.

That is one awesome find for certain!
At that steal of a price, and although I already have a set, I'd have definately bid on it if noone else had.
Good score,man :)

that really is a great item. you really have to love unusual vinyl.

Josh has some, I believe. They were available from MCA back when the movie came out.

Yeah Paul...I have a set of MCA H3 radio spots on reel-to-reel tape. I'm not sure if there was a vinyl version or not--but I like the reel almost as well :)

Whats really cool about the radio spots is that by and large the prices are very affordable. I've got several for different horror movies and love collecting them. I would guess by '83 when H3 came out that vinyl was probably slowly dying off replaced by tapes and cassettes...............................Larry

are you guys finding the radio spots on e-bay or places like that or just pure luck? i have never really seen any from any series and would like to start collecting them also.

So was HIII the last Halloween movie to have radio ad/spots available on record?

i've never seen them show up on ebay either, but then again i probably don't check as often as i should.
i'd be curious to even hear them if anyone has converted them to something digital ( obviously the H1 ones are on dvds already ).
