It's region 2 (U.K.) and is out March 27 on DVD. It's got the same The Many Days of 'Day of the Dead' Documentary that is on the regular U.S. special edition.

It already got released in the US over a year ago. The best part about it was the great picture and sound.

I'll take this opportunity to say no. Why? Because the one I have has a diecut cover with Bubs on the front. That's why.

Yeah, nothing beats Bub, Velcro, and Dr. Logan's log.

I do agree. It's a great edition of the movie and the packaging is top notch. I got it the day it came out and I watched it damn near daily for a while.

The only thing wrong with the Divimax 2-Discer is the fact that audio from the TV version was used in a couple of parts. The single disc version, released shortly after, does have the corrected audio.

My Divimax DVD is fine with me.
Yea...I'll take a Bub cover over some lame-attempt-at-Photoshop design, any day of the week.

Does this edition have the additional scenes from the tv version and if so, what were those scenes I keep hearing about which supposedly weren't in the theatrical version I've got (sadly on VHS)?

The R1 Bub cover owns all! :D

I can't tell you how many times i've watched my Divimax Day DVD. I love it.

Right on...Its definitely one of the most frequently played DVDs that I own.

I could just smoke a bowl and watch that main menu title for hours on end.

If any huge hardcore collector fans are interested.

Apparently some releases in other countries have a few other features that aren't in our 2 disc edition.

http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=677

It looks like the Australian 2-disc has Reflections Of The Living Dead: Making of the dead films including interviews by Wes Craven, Sam Raimi and Tobe Hooper, and Audio commentary with special effects team members Greg Nicotero, Howard Berger, Everett Burrell and Mike Deak.

Germany also has Interview with actor Joe Pilato, interview with director/writer George A. Romero, don't know if their from the The Many Days of the Dead Documentary though. The Germany also has Deleted footage, Poster, media/press material, and goofs.

Yes I'm a nerd.

I don't have the special edition, but the one I do have I really enjoyed. I thought the zombies and special effects were great! The idea of dissecting and possibly training the zombies was interesting. Overall I really liked it.

The commentary was really good too.

The Divimax DVD is well worth double dipping for.

I always got a sick laugh out of how Romero and Savini embarrass Joe Pilato by revealing that he's currently (or at least at the time) murder mystery dinner theater on cruise ships. And then to make it worse, Pilato looks like the most depressed out of work actor in the world.

Actually, this is my favorite cover:

He lost a lot of weight recently and is more in line with his Day Of The Dead look.

I have the 2-disc Divimax version. What is the difference between the different versions of the film?

I wanted to ask that question myself, so: Ditto.

Better packaging, better transfer and more special features.

In that case, I'm sure glad that's the one I picked up.

But what about the audio differences?

Logan looks more like Dr. Caligari there than his live-action equivalent.

I definitely like all of the new cover art for the Scream Factory releases, even though most of the time I reverse the cover and have the original poster art showing.

Depending on who you ask, it's either the best or the worst of the original trilogy.

Ehhhh; another cover.

I'm starting to get nostalgic for Anchor Bay in the 90's. And the old blue cover: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Oa5pXsdMajc/UGSZgb9SZrI/AAAAAAAACjk/8EBFJwwt0wk/s640/George+A.+Romero%25E2%2580%2599s+Day+of+the+Dead%2 5E2%2584%25A2+%25281985%2529+DVD+Cover+USA+by+Anch or+Bay+I.jpg

I love the new cover. I bought the DVD version today because I already had the blu-ray release from Arrow. One of my top movies of all time for sure; I'm a definite "troll" for this movie.
