Ive got the set (and a double of the "Old Myer's Place" )--good luck finding them--a quick glance at Amazon has the cheapest of the 3 going for about $25 with the most expensive of them, "the Mad House" going for a minimum of $85).

Im sending mine away to her to get autographed actually tomorrow (she left her address to mail them out). I may consider selling the extra Old Myer's Place I have, so keep an eye out for it.

There are some on eBay right now. They are expensive, in some cases, others not so much.

You can still get them on eBay pretty cheap. In fact, I got the rarest of the set, "The Scream Factory", from Joseph Wolf's daughter herself for only $11! So there are plenty of bargains still to be had out there if you wait long enough.

I got all 3 for $40.00 from someone one here and they were/are in mint condition. :D

I used to have "The Scream Factory" and I have no idea what happened to it. I know that "The Mad House" is at my local library...I should "borrow" it sometime again..

Speaking of Ms. O'Rourke, check out this sweet interview that HM.com conducted with her:

I used to have all three of them, and I have no idea what happened to them. I've moved around so much that they could be anywhere. I was looking them up today, makes me sad that if I want them again, I have to pay like $40 each. Stupid me.

Are those stories worth reading? I've heard that they are kind of lame, but then they are young adult books.

Compared to the H1-H4 novels, they're not worth shit.

I have the first book of the series, The Scream Factory, and am willing to sell it a lot cheaper than those on eBay. It is used, I bought it new about 3-4 months ago, and the only wear is from me reading it one time. I can post pics if anyone is interested, I would be willing to sell it for something like $20-25 shipped via FedEx etc.

I bought them as they came out at the local Kmart. So, I got mine for a STEAL... only $4.50 each. I remember reading the first one, it was the summer before 8th grade and I was sitting alone in my family's cabin on the lake in the dark, reading this book. I totally freaked myself out.

I thought they were cute books, scared the crap out of me at the time... can't really be compared to the novelizations, but... they're nice to have, I think, at least.
