That was by far the best season premiere for Smallville to date, granted there's only been three. The acting, as usual, was fantastic. Season four is going to be something great.

I pisses me off that they didn't keep Chloe dead. Every great hero has a death they have to deal with; Spider-Man- Gwen Stacy, Batman -Second Robin (forget his damn name!). They should leave her dead!

Ok so I searched and I found a thread, but it was just for the season premeir. So I thought Id kick this one off. Here we can talk about anything about the show. Rumors, spoilers (but please hide it for those that dont want to see it) and episode thought.

I have yet to start watching this show. I have seen bits and pieces of a few different shows...and what I have seen has been very good. I can't start watching it season 4. Maybe I'll get seasons 1-3 for Christmas or something.

Who saw the premier. I thought it was awesome. Couldnt ask for a better way to start it off. Coolest part of course.....watching Clark, I mean Kal-El take to the skies. Awesome Special FX with that one. And how how is Lois Lane, my god, she leaves Lana in the dust!
I cant wait to see where they go with the Chloe storyline. This should be one hell of a season
boogeyman87
09-26-2004, 08:56 PM
Kal-El flying wasnt that breath taking only because i've known about it for 3 months . I actually had a big discussion in my spanish class about if Lois is hot or not. Me and this one guy were like ya she is really really really hot. And these 2 asian (not racist ,but adds to the story) girls were like no she is really ugly. I'm still baffeled as to why they think that. Let me post this link to any one who doesnt already know about the site- http://www.kryptonsite.com/

Let me get this straight. You found a thread labeled Smallville, not Season Four, not Season Premiere Of, just Smallville, yet you go and create another thread with the added "Offical" word stamped onto it claiming that this thread will talk about the entire show because the other thread only talks about the season premiere thus far, yet at the same time you begin this thread by talking about the season premiere? Makes no sence to me. We only need one Smallville thread.

And I figured they wouldn't leave Chloe dead. As soon as Clark took a lingering look at the grave, I even said to the TV, "Okay, time to pierce it with your X-Ray vision and see that the coffin's empty!" Lo and behold....:D LOL But all-around, I thought the premiere was great, and I loved Lois. They have her as a guest star, but I hope she becomes a regular. It'd be a shame if she was just around for a little while, then faded into obscurity like that Adam (I think?) fellow that had a little thing with Lana last season. Her final remark to Lionel before leaving the prison cell was great too, I didn't see that coming at all.
I also think Clark didn't expel all of the Kal-El programming from himself with the black kryptonite. I'm pretty sure we'll see traces of that nasty side resurface in the upcoming season. Why do it at all in the first place otherwise, right?
At any rate, I'm looking forward to what's to come. And still wondering where they're ultimately gonna go with all these Kryptonian symbols and artifacts showing up amongst the remains of ancient civilizations. First the cave markings, now the thing Lex found in Egypt. Interesting...

Is this show really good?
Remicis
09-27-2004, 08:50 PM
Absolutely. I wouldn't have followed it for three seasons now (entering four) if I didn't find it to be any good. And I don't watch much TV at all, it takes a lot for a show to capture my interest enough for me to actually make time to watch it or make the effort to remember to tape it if it comes on at an inconvenient time. Granted, I was a casual Superman fan to begin with, but I think the show has appeal to even non-comic-book people. The acting is great, the regular characters are well-developed and refreshingly likeable, and the stories of most of the episodes are interesting and really hold your attention. It does have its share of "Lame Kryptonite Villain of the Week" episodes, but even those are usually intertwined with good ongoing sub-plots recurring amongst the characters.
But I fully acknowledge that you may get a biased answer asking that question in this thread.;) If you've never watched the show, though, I strongly recommend you give it a shot. Just bear in mind that you're picking up after three seasons of development and story progression.:)
NCamp
09-27-2004, 08:57 PM
Ok well seeing as how it just asked who would be watching the season premier....it kinda leads one to believe that he was asking a question......I suggest you two get over it.
Superman, you can catch yourself up on the show next week. Repeats begin airing on the ABC Family channel at 7pm. I believe it kicks off from the first episode of the season 1.
And yeah Lois definately is hot

New Episode tonight, everyone watch, and yes MISS INFORMED the show is that good.
I hope we didnt see the last of Kal-El, I love when clark goes bad, those are my favorite episodes.
It also helps if you have a background with atleast the movies. You pick up on all the subtle hints they drop, but either way this show is amazing. November 16th Season 3 on DVD.

forget Lois and Clark for now. I want Clark and Chloe to get together. It was touching when he found he and they hugged. There is major chemistry there and they should do something with that.
But tonight episode was good. They never really explained where Lionel found metal boy there. That confused me. But Lana coming back, Clark catching lex in another lie.......good drama. Great episode!

Tonights episode to me was a 7/10. I dont want to say it was a filler episode only becuase it is the 2nd episode , but it kinda was. Hopefully it gets better .From what i know about the next 6 episodes it might turn out alittle better.

Not quite a filler episode. I mean they did have the huge what happened to Chloe thing to still figure out. Next week looks like more a filler to me. And whats up with the stupid title? "Kryp/Tuck" thats pretty stupid of them but oh well.

Maybe hoping it will help the season and get people interested . The ratings havent been top notch so if this season does bad the show might not live to see season 5. But they only really plan to go to season 5 anyways but it might get shafted. I'm looking foreward to episode 5- Run. Why? Becuase the freaken flash is in it. Not Wally west, Barry Allen, Jay Garrick, but .... Bart Allen. Also episode 7- Jinx. Becuase Mr. Mxyzptlk is in this one. Those are some episodes i'm looking foreward to.

As far as the Flash in an upcoming episode...I've never followed the Flash comics terribly closely, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Bart Allen actually Impulse? The only Flashes I know of have been Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, and Wally West. Can someone clear this up for me? Or is it just a departure from comics continuity for the show?

I found the following here (http://www.dcuguide.com/).
The grandson of Barry Allen, The Flash, and son of Don Allen, one of the 30th century's famous Tornado Twins, Bart Allen grew up with superspeed in his blood. By the age of three, he was being reared in a virtual reality environment, his body already in the early teenage years, way ahead of his mind. He was snatched to the twentieth century by his grandmother Iris Allen, where he came under the tutelage of the current Flash, Wally West, and more importantly superspeed guru Max Mercury. Bart was initially an impulsive young man who tended to act before he has time to think, but the mentorship of Max soon began to pay off, and he slowly became a valuable member of the super-hero community alongside his friends in Young Justice.
Recently, in an encounter with the mercenary Deathstroke, Bart was shot in the kneecap and, after recovering, read every book in the San Francisco public library. Unusually for super-speedsters, he remembers everything he reads at speed, and although the application is somewhat lacking, he is at least undeniably knowledgeable. He now calls himself Kid Flash and is a member of the Teen Titans.

Tonights episode didnt have much going on. But enjoyable. Clarks on the football team now. At the end they hinted at sparks between Clark and Lois which isnt supposed to happen yet. They are supposed to not be able to stand each other. But oh well. You guys see that look Chloe gave? Jelous.
Next week looks good. Chloe is a firecracker and if I had one night Id take her over Lois and Lana. Cause as she said in the preview. Shed do things Lana never would.

Well the series took a huge hit today with the passing of christopher reeve. I think they were looking foward to the Dr. Swan/ Clark Kent growing relationship. They were going to try and have him in a couple episodes this year but sadly that will no longer happen. he will always be remembered for his lifes work and his fight for stem cell research. Tom Welling is Clark Kent, but Christopher Reeve will always and forever be Superman.

Just a quick question for the Smallville fans here. I was under the impression that Chloe was killed by Lana when she was under some sort of curse or something. How can she still be alive then? Anyway, I'm a newbie to the show. I've just been watching the first season on ABC Family, and this was the first new episode I watched tonight. So I'm kind of lost. If someone could explain to me how Chloe was killed, and brought back I would really appreciate it thanks.
As for the episode it was a lot of fun! Great action, great plot, and it was funny too. Chloe looked so hot in that jersey, and I cannot wait for next weeks episode. Flash looks like it is going to be amazing.

If someone could explain to me how Chloe was killed, and brought back I would really appreciate it thanks. Chloe never died on the show. She almost did a few times, but never really bit the bullet.

Here's proof from KryptonSite that Christopher Reeve did not film anything over the summer...
The Fate of Dr. Swann
In an interview with the Post-Gazette, Smallville Executive Producer Alfred Gough reveals the plans for the Dr. Swann character.
Gough explained to reporter Rob Owen that Margot Kidders Dr. Crosby character had been brought in to fill the Swann void, and she will likely be making more appearances. "We thought she was a good person to help fill in around Dr. Swann, give him some other people [to work with]," Gough said, "and our plan was to bring Chris back later in the season and have him in a scene with Margot and Tom."
Unfortunately with Christopher Reeve's passing earlier this week, this is no longer possible. The series plans to incorporate Dr. Swann's passing into the storyline. "There is some key information he was going to provide, so now she'll provide it," Gough said.

As for the episode it was a lot of fun! Great action, great plot, and it was funny too. Chloe looked so hot in that jersey, and I cannot wait for next weeks episode. Flash looks like it is going to be amazing.
That was in the episode "Delete" Lana was kinda hypnotized. She tried to kill her but she was knocked out in the knick of time and she snapped out of it. Thats probably what you are thinking of.

Thank you so much! You guys are so helpful, I really appreciate it. Did anybody happen to catch the episode with Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian in Mean Girls) when she could transform into anyone, and she wanted to become Lana because she was obsessed with her? She kept saying she's her sister and stuff like that, she was so psycho. Anyway, that's one of my favorite episodes. I think it was great.

Yeah she was in 2 episodes. 1 in season one, and 1 in season 2. The second one was sad cause that was the death of whitney at war.
I just saw Alicia Baker from obsession (the teleporter) will return the season for a 2 episode story arch. Two back to back episodes with one villain means it should be something good.

What did you all think about tonights episode?
I thought it was really good. Some nice developments. Its about time somone else found out. Kinda glad it was Lionel, but you knew that was going to happen. Its adds more danger, although he is "a changed man" Chloe was as always hot. I liked the cell mate, he should be involved more this season and who knows he may. The end was cool, it left me questioning wheter or not Bridgette Crosby was good or bad. I hope they get on with it already and get more into that story.
I give the episode an 8.

Next weeks should be good. Here are spoilers from KryptonSite.com
The WB's Official Description (Posted 10/15): DC COMICS VILLAIN MXYZPTLK TRIPS UP SMALLVILLE - Chloe (Allison Mack) is drawn into an underground gambling ring at school run by foreign exchange student Mikail Mxyzptlk (guest star Trent Ford) and loses her savings on a football game after Mxyzptlk uses his powers to control all the players – including Clark (Tom Welling). When Chloe discovers Mxyzptlk’s secret, he kidnaps her and threatens to kill her unless Clark throws the championship game. Meanwhile, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) threatens Mxyzptlk with deportation unless he uses his powers for Lex’s benefit. Kristin Kreuk, John Glover, Jensen Ackles, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider also star. Paul Shapiro directed the episode, written by Mark Warshaw (#407).

Tonights episode wasnt bad, but wasnt great. Mikale M. was kind of a weak enemy. I thought they would do a little more with that. But with the way things left off he may very well be back. Not much progress this week, more of a feel good, happy ending episode. You kinda hated Lex at the end for doing what he did. Coach T. (Jason) was a good guy.

Possible , but hasnt there been way too much evidence for her to find out for a long time? I'm not sure their gonna let another one find out so soon. Lionel just found out but he is in prison, a changed man and no one gonna believe him. With Chloe it could get her killed. Again in a way.

That would be sweet. They could have an "asylum" type episode multiplied by 10.
And im hoping Chloe finds out. Every hero needs his side kick, pete is gone so that role is vacant. Lionel cant do that from prison, and him pulling a 180 just to do that wouldnt be convincing at all.

The whole Clark, Lex, and Lana thing is shaping up nicely. It was good to have Lois back for another epi. Shes great. Tonight was definately good for the eye candy, and we learned a new weakness of Clark. And I liked the whole hair of steel thing ala, Superman IV.

Its sad though cause you know its the begining of the end.

I have 3 suspects. Some more than the others. Either Jason's mom (not so much), Lex himself (would make for a weird twist and the start of lex going evil genious...not bad) or Bridget Crosby. Who do you guys think, we might as well have something to talk about during this slow month long break.

Next weeks looks good. It looks like Chloe finally discovers Clarks secrets from what I saw in the preview though it sounds like Lana's voice not Chloe's but I guess I'll see next week.

Yeah they always splice things together to throw you off. Like in the preview for yesterdays episode they showed lana saying "tell me that your not still in love with me" then they showed an image of clark looking uneasy. Low and behold, the coversation wasnt between the two of them.

Yeah, I was like wow! I cant believe they actually showed her hanging. Usually their deaths are more innocent on the show. But they went to a new level. I think if Clark would have killed him he wouldnt have been able to come back. So they actually showed his plight. He has to be better than everyone else. He definately got emotional, and that was kick ass.

Tonight's a new Smallville. I will be watching it. Here are some spoilers: The WB's Official Description (Added 1/21/05): CHRIS CARMACK (“THE OC”) GUEST STARS - In an effort to recruit Clark (Tom Welling) for their football team, Met U sends their star player Geoff (guest star Chris Carmack, “The OC”) to show Clark the “perks” of attending Met U. However, after one of Met U's players dies under mysterious circumstances and Lois (Erica Durance) is arrested for his murder, Clark discovers that Geoff has super powers and is using them to paralyze anyone who gets in his way – including Lois. Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) continues to watch Clark to learn more about his secret. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Jensen Ackles, John Glover, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider also star. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer (#2T5213).

I cant wait to see how they end this season.

Dont get too comfortable because the rift must become greater soon. The series has but 1 or 2 seasons top left to go. Lex will become bad soon enough.
I dont know about the rest of you but the way they ended the episode with Clark and Lois talking made me want to see those two actors carry out the storyline to see them start a relationship and then later on get married. TW and Erica Durance work well together. You can tell with how they act towards each other that Lois and Clark will someday get together.

It was a weak way to end a season though. Maybe a mid season cliff hanger. But not something so small and meaningless to hang over an entire summer. There was no feeling of shock to it. Him in season two was kind of like Buffy season 2 finale. Him leaving after feeling like he wasnt wanted.
