What is your favorite Romero Dead Flick? I know we have threads for favorite zombie movies and such, but not a poll that is specific to Romero's original series. No remake talk in here, this is strictly the original 4 films.

So, what is it?

While I like them all pretty equally, Dawn of the Dead still stands out for me. But after that it's hard to compare.

So Dawn it is.

Thats how it is for me with Night, Day, and Land, but Dawn just stands out a little.

I put the other 3 in high regards above Land.Just couldnt get into that one.I think my expectations were too high going into it.

Eh, well, to each his own.

I think in a couple years, Land will fit in perfectly for me. I'm sure it took awhile for some people to accept Day, but look at it now.

Night will always be the shit. All bow down to night of the living dead.

I'm afraid to vote on this just in case I think Land is better than my current favorite, Day of The Dead. Well, whatever, I'll just say Day.

The original Dawn is and always will be my preferred "dead" flick. My first encounter with zombies on film was actually Savini's '90 remake of Night and I treasured that movie when I was younger. Now after having seen all of them, really getting acquainted...I still love Dawn most. I do like the original Night and Day too...plus, I thought Land was a great film and I supported Romero by seeing it twice in the theatre. I find it hard to actually compare his films, but the original Night is his classic and his baby...but Dawn is my personal favorite...mainly due to the cast and that awesome Monroeville mall! :D

For me it's Dawn of the Dead. Best zombie movie ever and it will probably be the best zombie movie of all time.

Night. It was the creepiest and had the best atmosphere. It was also the most 'horror film' out of the 4.

I voted for Night of the Living Dead, I thought it was a much better flick then the last three, although Land of the Dead was quite an impressive film.

Nothing beats Day of the dead. The Claustrophobia feeling is just utterly brilliant, along with the very chilling atmosphere of the 'Zombie apocalypse'. The characters are a nice blend of assholes and good guys lol, with the very modest acting. The Zombie make up is really creepy and more monster looking then ever. its my favourite of the Dead series and quit possibly the best zombie movie I've seen, it might be the most slow paced of them all. But that doesn't really mather for this flick.

I watched Day of the Dead again on the Sci-Fi channel, and found it to be *extremely* boring. I didn't really like Dawn of the Dead , the 70's or the 04 versions. I saw Land of the Dead in theateres, and didn't like that much either. I really have a hard time understanding why everyone likes these movies so much. Especially Dawn of the Dead. It just comes off as being so pretentious to me. The only movie I did like out of the series was Night of the Living Dead '68.

I adore Night and I love Day, but to me Dawn and Land are garbage. They're not horror movies. They're poorly written comedies.

How is Dawn a comedy? I don't recall seeing Zombies asking to send more paramedics, neither complaining about screwdrivers going through their heads, so no.

What!?

I'm assuming that you are referring to the remake or something? Either way, neither of those are funny nor poorly written. I usually don't bash people because of their opinions....but COME ON!
