Sorry, I have never seen that poster before.
Nice score, it does look rare and definately seems to be an old print.

That is a odd poster. I have never seen it before. And the bottom being all white makes me wonder if it was to be held at a movie theatre or something... About how big is it? That is defiantly a score. Great Find!

Shit, I've never seen that either! Great poster! Gimmie! :p Where did you get it from, Larry?

The size is 22x24....I have a feeling that Compass or Films, Inc. made it up for distribution when 16mm prints were shown in smaller venues...perhaps like college campuses and such. Not an easy find...I actually stumbled across an ad in one of the movie collecting tabloids..............Larry

Great Find! I do agree with the fact it was used on College Campuses. It looks like one of those posters. Really rare and interesting...

Thanks...and like stated above, the blank space at the bottom was more than likely put there for writing in show times.....Larry

I always thought the Czech one sheet was the rarest (and most preposterous) H1 poster out there.

Theres a Halloween danish finnish and thai. They are probaby rarer than czech.

The Thai one's easier to find than the Czech, and probably the Finnish one too. There's also a Polish and apparently a Russian, and probably a bunch of others too... South African, maybe. Can you imagine?

Well, since H1 was unbelievably popular when it came out here in the US, it was probably the same for many other countries.

Also......do you have that Finnish poster???

No but I have a Halloween 2 finnish on the way. There is a finnish for h1-3. Hmm about a South African if it exists it would most likely be a video poster. Oh by the way the h1 finnish looks similar to most with the pumpkin knife. Not exactly sure of the specifics though.

You actually have the H2 Finnish poster?? How the hell did you find one?!?! Those are so damn rare!!

BTW......I have pictures of both the H1 and H2 Finnish posters. If anyone wants me to post them, let me know.

I'm interested in seeing them, I don't think I've ever seen those ones before. :)
Thanks if you can. :)

You're probably right about the South African being a video poster. It would be cool to see one if such a poster actual does exist.

Man, you'd be a lucky to find a pic of the H3 Spanish (which I've never even seen), let alone a H3 Finnish! :p

Hey Matt,

I've owned this H1 poster for a while now(thanks to this post--I know a little more about its origin). I originally purchased this from movie memorabilia store, whom claimed it to be a "vintage trade advertisement". When I recieved it I immediately recognized that it was certainly NOT a trade ad(simply due to the size). The large white area of the lower border mocks some of the Italian Halloween posters that I own.

referring to the thread starter: I hadn't seen that poster till about 3 weeks ago on ebay. Damn, if its really that rare, I should have bid on it. Im not very well-versed in posters, so I just thought it was like any other one that says "rare" on ebay
