Have you heard the theme song on a TV show? Have you heard the name Michael Myers in a song? Have you seen the white mask on another show? Post it here. I was thinking about this earlier and could think of more examples than I thought. I've heard it in music in some songs by Twiztid and sampled by Dr. Dre. So, throw out the ones you know of.

Great thread! All I can think of is when the kids watch Halloween in Scream. Halloween: H20 was going to feature in Scary Movie, but it didn't. ;)

If you have the DVD, one of the extras for your PC is the script viewer, most of it is new stuff. One person says "How can you watch this crap?!", and Shorty says "Because it's great promotion for Miramax!". By the end of it, Shorty is telling us the rules of how a black person can survive a horror movie.

I think Akkad may be one reason this wasn't featured. Their's a bit on the trailer where they scream and "Ohh!", while watching something.

A few weeks ago on The Simple Life 3 with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, the family the girls were staying with, one of the little boys in the family said he wanted to show the girls something...he left the room and came back in wearing a Myers mask. He said who it was and the girls just looked at each other and started laughing. The kid had to be no more the 7 yrs old. I thought that was pretty cool. :)

A couple of months ago my sister saw someone dressed up as Myers on MTV. I have no idea what show it was but I think it had something to do with a contest with the scariest costume or something.

In Niagara falls they have the House of Frankenstein which is a haunted house attraction. On the loud speakers they constantly crank out the Halloween theme which can be heard up and down Lundy's lane.

I remember my sister was watching Ally McBeal, and Ally and her friends were watching Halloween, and Lucy Lui kept on rewinding the closet scene. Then Halloween mentioned on I Love The 70's, and the Mad TV parody H90210.

I saw that too. I loved the look that Paris and Nicole give to each other. They must have been thinking "What the hell are we in for?"

When I saw that, I almost freaked out, because strangely enough I was thinking to myself "What if he came back with a hockey mask on or even a Myers mask on? That would be awesome" Then I kind of blew it off but when I saw that, I just kind of was shocked that I was right.

It shows what happens when you love a horror series so much that you can guess when the villan is going to show up.

the other day on the food channel...I saw the shape hosting a retro show........

oh wait nevermind...that was shatner...buried face deep in the powdered doughnuts.

but really....

went to a Nas concert, and his intro music was "the shape strikes or whatever its called...its the music thats played while the shape stalks his victims.

rapper juicy J from triple six mafia's alias is Michael Myers

the group UNLV has a classic diss track from 96..the main theme is sampled as the background music.

and me personally, as an artist...took the speech from the H4 trailer and used it as my intro cut for my album.

Ha ha this is not popular culture...but today at school just as recess was beginning 2 little Kindergardeners were talking about playing a game. One told the other "Lets' play chase...you can be Michael Myers"..the first one started running away and the second one started running after him. The first one stops and says to the other one" N0!....Michale Myers does not run...he walks..you have to walk". The first one runs away and the second one follows walking after him. A few minutes later I see them still playing their stupid little game. Now I like (love) Halloween as much as the next person, but...Kindergadeners? Playing this at recess? Their parents let them watch this kind of stuff at 5yrs of age? No wonder we have a society of psychopaths.

They played the Halloween title music at a hockey game I went to when the opposition team skated out onto the ice.

I heard that the emblem for the Calgary Hitmen hockey team in the WHL was based on how Michael Myers looks.

I was bouncing a nightclub one Halloween night, and the DJ would play the title music or quotes from Loomis' voie over at the beginning of H20 every so often.

The title music was used in a documentary I saw on the development of the Abrams main battle tank.

I consulted my source, who is very knowledgable about both the Calgary Hitmen and Bret Hart, and according to this person, Bret Hart designed the Hitmen's logo, but it is not based on his logo, or any symbol Bret Hart has ever used. Evidently, when Mr. Hart used a symbol at all, it was either a heart, a pair of wrap-around mirrorshades, or a rifle cross-hairs.

So there's that, then.

Ja wanna reference to Halloween in 1980s wrestling?

In the summer, 1987 issue of Wrestling Superstars, a magazine published in the same family of wrestling magazines as ProWrestling Illustrated, a list of the 10 most feared men in pro wrestling was published. Among the luminaries of the squared circle who were featured in this article were Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Ric Flair, the Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal), and Andre the Giant.

The Halloween reference comes from the entry in this article on Abdullah the Butcher, a notoriously blood-thirsty 400 pound madman supposedly from the Sudan (actually he's from Kitchener, Ontario). The author of the article remarks that Abdullah is an unstoppable engine of destruction like the psychotic killer Michael from the Halloween movies, more concerned with harming others than he is even with injuries caused to himself.

What's interesting about this article is that it came out in the hiatus of Halloween films between Halloween 3 (1882) and Halloween 4 (1988). Michael had only appeared on film in two movies at that time, and there was no Halloween film in theatres during the summer of 1987 - the most recent Halloween film hadn't even featured him as a character. The only thing I can think of is that the author of the article "the 10 Most Feared Men in Pro Wrestling" must be a serious fan of our dear Shape to work in a reference to Michael in his article, since there had been six Friday the 13th films to date, five with Jason, and part 6 might still have been in theatres when the article was written.

Only a fan would be thinking of Michael when Jason was on everyone else's mind.

In Rage Against The Machine's "Ashes in the fall" the halloween theme is in the opening of the song and real heavy near the end of the song. They don't credit John Carpenter for writing that part soo if they don't watch out they might get sued. Still an awosome song.

Like someone said before, the guy from Cold wears a Michael mask at concerts. I went to a Staind/Cold/Godsmack concert a few years ago and he did then--it was pretty awesome to see someone reference Halloween like that.

Then on one of the "scary" Dawson's Creek episodes they reference Halloween. I can't remember the episode, but when I have time I'll check my dvd's if anyone's THAT interested.
