I don't have any pictures I took myself of the exclusive figures, but the Sideshow website has some if that helps:

yeah i got those...it's just i think those pics are a tad mis-leading, like take leatherface from the remake...you see in the pic his apron is cloth and when i got it, it had a weird plastic thing, and me mr. analretentive.....had to make a new one ;)

I own some of the regular, non-exclusive ones. I would be happy to take pictures of them for you so they don't look as staged and perfect as they do on the Sideshow site. I only own:

Robert Englund/Freddy Krueger of Freddy Vs. Jason
Michael Myers of Halloween
Ash of Army of Darkness

Just let me know because the actual figures will look exactly the same, minus the little bonus that was included as an exclusive. Plus, I don't have Ash in my hands just yet, as I just bought it off Ebay but I'd be happy to post pics of him once I receive it.

I really love the Sideshow figures since they have such incredible detail. I would like to get two more myself (one of the Jason ones and the original Leatherface). I was just going to go with Michael and not buy any more after him, but they are just some of the best horror collectibles I have seen.

So how many do you have in your collection so far Ana-Matronic? Do you leave them in the box or take them out to display?

To add to the exclusives list, there is also the S-MART version of Ash from Army of Darkness. He is a little more rare than some of the others but I have seen it go for under $60. Some of those Jason ones go for so much $$. I wish I could get the Jason from part III but that ones goes a little too high for me.

I like how cool the 'Jason/Leatherface/Freddy' ones are and how CRAPPY the 'Myers' one is/was.

Yeah the Michael Myers one Sideshow made is quite strange looking but I like it since it is unique and different looking from all my other Halloween collectibles. If Sideshow decided to make any more Halloween dolls/figures then I would buy those as well.

I never really liked the Halloween figure...in fact I didn't really like it at all.

The others look great though, why couldn't the halloween figure look nice.

I always think of it as "Hip-Hop Myers." It seems like a mask that would have been used in H20 back during the Scream sensation.
I don't know why, but that's what I think about when I see it.

LOL, yeah sorry it took so long. I have been busy with college crap and Star War figure hunting :D

Here are my Sideshow Ash and Robert Englund/ Freddy dolls/figures. The detail is real nice on these as seen in the pics. Also, the box of Robert Englund/ Freddy is a bit larger than the Ash box. Sorry for the glare on these. I will try to post pics of my Sideshow Myers soon. He is a little difficult to get to since he is displayed in a stack of stuff in my Halloween collection. Enjoy ;)

As I said, I do not have the exclusive Freddy (there is no exclusive for this version of Ash anyway) but the only difference with the Freddy exclusive is the single knife finger attachment (a full removeable hand that is replaced with the whole knife glove hand).

I plan on getting the Friday the 13th: Part VII Jason Sideshow doll once it pops up onto Ebay and any more Halloween ones if they appear in the future. But for now, I just have three. A small collection but they are the ones that I like...plus, these things get expensive whether they be exclusives or not. Happy hunting! :)

I'm a girl ;) It's hard to tell since I am quite the tomboy.

I'm glad you like them. I plan on taking the pics of Michael today after my classes. So are you planning on getting either one of these? Which exclusives do you plan on seeking out? If I could, I wish I could have gotten the exclusive Jason from Part VI because that bloody arm bonus is awesome. However the down side to this collection is that I love how they look in the box so I try to stay away from opening them...even though it is so tempting. It is almost the same way with the new Star Wars toys I picked up for myself. I gave in to the 12" Clone Trooper and opened it up. Star Wars stuff is so neat to play with and display. I am such a kid :D

Well sorry for misunderstanding i some times use guy as like a dude substitute. I think the robert englund one is quite swift......i got the leatherface(no exclusive) and freddy from fvsj for x-mas and i took them out of the box......me boxes, tags, etc don't get along....when i was younger.....my mom said "you should leave the tags on your beanie babies......they will be worth alot more" i am only 18 but still i love it cause i don't know it being out of the box means IT'S MINE! and i just ordered the pamela voorhees exclusive and i also got myself the New Blood exclusive jason so i am kinda dialed! i love my toys............the one that means the most to me out of all of them is my Call from Alien Resurrection, here's the story....i was taken to FAO Shwartz when i was younger and my mom said i could get any thing wanted and when your young and in a store like that you go mad.....i was so overwhelmed that i started to cry and the thing i wanted was Call and then we left with nothing and i was just so overwhelmed by the size of that store! and then about 5 years later i saw call on sale at a site and my gma got it for me and that is my all time fav thing i own cause it just has such a history....but hey we can be the nerds who like our toys together!;)

Silverpsycho
04-05-2005, 12:37 PM
LOL, yeah I hate the whole "value" label put on things because I like to enjoy my toys damnit! :D Some things I just have to take out of the package but I do keep some things in their boxes if they look better that way. Sometimes I really regret taking things out because then I have to hold onto the box and having the figure/toy loose makes even more clutter than there was before. I will never regret taking my Ninja Turtles out of their boxes though since I played with those things for years! With all the crud I collect, I am running out of room for myself...so I have to either have to decide on collecting one or two things and sticking with it or get rid of older stuff that is not quite as important to me (but still nostalgic). It just sucks...I often wish I could make things disappear to clean my room and make them reappear when I want to look at them, but I think we all wish we could have that feature.

That is awesome that you got Pamela! I want to get her (mainly just the regular version) but I would like to grab a Part VII Jason first. Also which Leatherface did you get? The Thomas Hewitt from the new version or the older version classic Leatherface? I want the classic one but I must admit they they both look pretty cool. Well on with the hunting! I hope you get the others that you want. ;)

Ana-Matronic
04-06-2005, 03:13 AM
HAHA classice Ninja Turtles.......oh the memories i was obsessed and i loved April O' Neal the most but i could NEVER find her figure so we sent in 20 dollars to the company and they sent us one.....one of my favorite memories.......oh to be young again.

I got the remake leather.......and he is bad ass especially since i customized him with my stylish apron lol i am a bit crazy about little things.

Silverpsycho
04-07-2005, 01:17 PM
Well you might as well enjoy them if they are going to be a part of your collection, so why not customize them to better fit how you visualize them.

LOL, yes, April was rather hard to find. I remember being overjoyed with my "white boots" version because I was not a fan of the "orange boots" version. All of my figures are in storage at the moment and I miss them horribly. One of my favorites to play with was Ace Duck with his wings and granades and stuff. There were a whole bunch of them that I had fun with. I played with my sewer system playset and Technodrome so much...it was crazy.

Now, I am just trying to find places for all my crap. I want to display stuff but it is hard when it is all invading across my room. Some of my crap takes up so much space...like my Chucky dolls (Chucky, Tiffany and Glen), Sideshow stuff, various Halloween stuff and then my many other collections (like Ren & Stimpy) that stopped growing but still take up space. I need a whole house to display all my crap! There probably still would not be enough room for me. :D

What is this one?^^ Is that a poster? Looks cool whatever it is with what looks like the cast list?

P.S. You can't turn your camera for a long shot cause the picture comes out sideways, like your freddy and leatherface ones. Don't know if that was your intention but i thought i'd mention that:D

Thanks for posting the awesome pics Ana-Matronic. I love Pamela and your pics make me want to buy her as well. So I guess I will put her down on my wish list as well...which I am sure will get longer and longer down the road since Sideshow always makes quality products. I snapped up pics of my Myers so I will post him sometime this evening.

Also, major kudos on your homemade Leatherface apron...it looks 100% better! If I ever got one of those...I would contact you to make a replacement because from what I can see...it looks so much better.

Very nice Ringu. I like being able to see figures out of their boxes being displayed by a collector so we can actually see how the figures really look rather than one perfectly staged. It makes me want to pull mine out of my boxes and display them. I may do that later on after I thoroughly clean my room. Thanks for sharing your pics. ;)

Ohhhh Michael looks so sad......poor guy. I will try to take some shots of Pam Leather and Freddy out of the boxes.......and i recommend you getting pam she is tre cool! I think i am going to have a near impossible time finding a michael one. And thanks about the apron.....all i did was get some tan fabric cut it into an apron shape put some dirt on it.....teabagged it(tee hee) and then sewed another piece onto it and presto crappy apron is made!

04-14-2005, 05:26 PM
Actually, the prices for Michael are not so bad on Ebay...if you don't mind the minimum cost being around $40. That is around the cost I have paid for all my Sideshow dolls actually. If that is a bad price, I don't really mind since I feel they are worth it. I have been keeping an eye out for Pam, Jason and Leatherface ones. I know they are out there but I am trying to wait it out for better deals. I may cave and just end up getting them at steep prices. So far, the best deal is Jason from Part II for around $20, but I am not the biggest fan of that look...even though it is an extremely well-made figure.

Silverpsycho

I just snagged up a Pamela Voorhees because I think she is an awesome looking Sideshow doll. I am so psyched to get it in the mail and I will post pics once the package arrives. I managed to find one on Ebay for only $25...which I consider a good deal, even though they seem to be abundant, but the prices are not always the best. I think I may actually get the Jason one from Part II as well because that $20 price tag is so tempting and I am pretty sure I would open up that box and display him since they are so easy to find for reasonable prices. I havn't seen another one go for that cheap...at least horror wise. I originally planned on only getting a few Sideshow dolls but now it is an addicting collection and I would like to eventually have: a burned Freddy Krueger (since I only have the Robert Englund version), Leatherface (from original), Jason from Part VII and then anything else that comes out featuring HalloweeN...if that were to ever happen. Plus, maybe some Land of the Dead figures could be made this time around...that would be awesome. :D

Whenever I take notice of the Sideshow Myers figure, I can't help but think of that mask belonging to H20. Yes, I know I am wrong and the H20 mask was different (of course acknowledging the fact that three masks were used), but it's simple features and "Scream" look just brings it in line w/ the teeny bopper feel of H20.
Does anyone else feel the same way?

Hell Yes!!! I would love to see a Sideshow Loomis happen and it may someday since NECA went ahead and did that neat-o duel/porch set. I would also love to see an actual plush doll of him made like that numbered Myers doll that plays the theme...I would buy that in a heartbeat!

As for the Sideshow Myers, I know a bunch of people don't like it because it looks so strange but whenever I look at it, it actually gives me the creeps because I think it looks like one of those old-fashioned kind of dolls with the porcelain faces. I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I love how unique looking it is, despite that it is not the best rendition. So for me, this particular Myers piece is something that looks as though it would have been made long ago when stuff only loosely depicted the actual character (like the Star Wars toys back then). I can totally understand where you get the H20 feeling though.

Agreed.
I understand what you mean w/ the originality facture - and I'm glad to hear you feel the same way as me w/ the H20 thing. It just has that feeling to it, besides that I would definately pick up a Loomis figure w/ some sound effects and perhaps even voice recordings!

Why does the Sideshow Michael suck so badly likeness wise while the other figures are spot on. Did they hire the wrong sculpter?

I think the Friday figures are some of the best out there. I don't own any because of the cost. I'm sure they're worth every penny though.

Silverpsycho
04-23-2005, 10:34 AM
Yeah, I know what you mean cost wise. I have paid anywhere from $20 - $40 for my Sideshow dolls. The price is worth it but it is rather costly when there are so many other cool things that could be grabbed for cheaper. Whenever I have the $$ for them, I just snag one up because I love the packaging, tools and the detail on everything.

The only Jason I have seen for a super good deal is the one from part II. I see him for a mere $19.99 (Buy it Now) on Ebay all the time and the shipping cost is around $6 - $8 (which is not overpriced since the box is pretty bulky). I so wish I could find a cheap (or at least cheaper) Jason from Part III because that is my most favorite film in the series but I refuse to pay $100 or more for it.

So if you always keep an eye out for a particular Sideshow figure, a deal may appear out of nowhere. I try to wait for those.

Nice Ringu! Wow, getting all three at once must have cost a pretty penny. I am trying to get a couple more myself off of Ebay but I am trying to hold off to see if there will be a better price (Jason Part VII) since it is fairly new and I have done so in the past. I know I can't wait too long or else the price skyrockets like nothing else!

Has anyone ever bought the figures/dolls or anything else directly from Sideshow? Right now they are giving away Lance Armstrong type (rubber) bracelets saying "collect for life" (or something very close to that) with every purchase. I am still kicking myself for not having gotten the exclusive version of Jason Part VII when I could have. It would have been the first and only exclusive that I would own and it would have been a pretty good price. Any of the Sideshow doll exclusives under $50 is a great deal but I have manged to miss out on all of them. Someday I tell you, someday I will have an exclusive! Of what, I don't know...hopefully it will be a well-done HalloweeN character. :D

I love the pics Ringu! :D It is always nice to see the real deal rather than the staged perfect ones on the Sideshow site. I really like how you set up your FvJ Jason...that is awesome.

I am so excited...I just bought the old school version of Leatherface. My Pamela hasn't shown up yet but once I receive both her and Leatherface, I will be sure to post pics. Now that I have these...I just need to buy a Jason to add to my collection, which will most likely be the part VII one. This is starting to get addicting but I think that they are worth it not only because Sideshow toys become more valuable along the way, but because I think that they offer quality products. Their stuff looks unbelievable in or out of the package.

I agree, these are addicting but worth it, even my MOm said "These will be worth something one day, they are very nice". I do feel that they couldn't done something different with some of the figures paint jobs, I've heard that the Pamela one doesn't look as good as it does in the prototype picture and the picture on the box becausee on those models they use a Matte paint instead of what they use normally to make them glossy, I've heard that she looks alot better with the matte paint than the normal glossy kind. I'd stil get her though cause she still looks cool. I have to get the Part VI and VII figures, they look great.

Yeah that price is a little steep. If I find one for cheaper on Ebay or something, I will let you know.

Can anyone let me know which Sideshow Freddy is the best looking? I am currently bidding on a New Nightmare version (only because it is dirt cheap), but out of the other ones, which one is the best? I'd like to find the original somewhere but they are fairly scarce and usually end up a bit pricey...just like all the good ones do.

Ok, thanks.

As you know, this is what I have for Freddy ones:

Original Freddy (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v379/deathiscoming/Miscellaneous%202/000_0144.jpg)

WCNN Freddy (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/seanhall/000_0224.jpg)

FvJ Freddy (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/seanhall/000_0221.jpg)

That's what I have, if you want I can take more detailed pictures of a certain part if you want (i.e. face, etc...) I guess it all depends on the person and which they prefer though.

Thanks for showing your Freddy ones again Sean.:) I already have non-burn Freddy/Robert Englund and I just bought the New Nightmare one. I am so jealous that you got a hold of the original one though...after checking out your pics, he seems to be my most favorite. I will have to find one for a good deal on Ebay, especially since I like having originals. Sadly, I may have to deal without a Jason from Part 3, since those are just way too costly for me...figure wise.

I don't think the WCNN Freddy is all that bad looking...especially for the price that he is available at. He originally cost $40 - $45 on the official Sideshow site and I managed to find it for $20 on Ebay. Whenever I find a deal like that on a Sideshow, I always act on it because I think these are a good investment. I don't know if I will ever find myself reselling them but now I am planning to try and eventually get all the modern horror figures (not necessarily the exclusives though) and maybe a couple classic Universal monsters. Originally I was only going to get a few of the main horror figures and now that my collection has grown, I am now prepared to just go for it...but I will have to keep a real keen eye out to find a deal on the part III Jason. So if you find a deal on a boxed Sideshow figure...go for it. :D

For $20 that is a steal. Good deal you got there. I got my Original Freddy at a shop in Florida for $40. They still had a few there when I went a couple weeks ago. If I lived closer to Florida I'd pick one up for you and mail it to you but since I'm here in NY I can't. You can try the stores Ebay Shop they have here:http://stores.ebay.com/Notable-and-Notorious-LLC They don't have it listed on there so if you want you can call their number and they'll ship it to you, here's their oficial site (which the owner said isn't updated too often) has their number on it which you can try: http://notandnot.com/ As you will see in their SIDESHOW section they have the Original Freddy in stock for Pre-Order (they are redesigning their site but they have them at the store) so they do have it. Their number is: Phone: 407-477-0480 Fax: 407-477-0489. Good luck.

I checked out N & N's web-site and I will keep looking back there if they are updating. I havn't gotten around to contacting them but in the meantime Ebay has been helping me burn serious holes in my wallet  I finally grabbed a Part 6 Jason. I want the Part 7 version as well but I still really like the look of the Part 6 one...and I am one of the few who really likes Jason Lives in the series. :D Other than that, I am still waiting for my WCNN Freddy to arrive. To get in the spirit, I have been watching NoES films all the time...plus I am getting caught up on the series since I have never really watched them all the way through before.

Has anyone heard any news of future "modern horror" Sideshow dolls coming out in the future? So many other dolls are being made and it seems as though only Jason & Freddy are really being focused on as far as modern horror stuff goes. I know the dolls take awhile to be made and then produce for the public, but I am dying here! Even if they are not made, I want to know what the plans are. It would be neat if there could be a whole line of HalloweeN dolls but their version of Michael may be the only one. Other than more HalloweeN, I would love to see a zombie and Angela Baker (Sleepaway Camp) dolls...those would be awesome. Well enough rambling...I will post pics of my newer Sideshow family soon after I receive my Jason. Happy hunting! ;)

Well sideshow now has a new jason from goes to hell and it looks awesome although when i get him i will be adding some stuffing to his tummy he is a tad skinny! I pre-ordered him already, and yesterday i got myself a part 6 for 30 and a WCNN for 30 and they are great i cutomized 6 a tad to make his shirt tighter and made him a little more worn, and i think the only negative with WCNN is his eyes who is he looking at?

I really do like the detail and embedded mask, but he appears limber-- not bulky.
I can only imagine what that exclusive accessory, Jason "Baby Demon" Monster, will look like.

They've used that grey suit for every Jason (except FvsJ) since Part 3's Jason. Obviously, it doesn't work here for this figure. Jason's shirt and pants were blue in JGTH, and yes, he was a bit more bulkier. They need to pay a little more attention to the clothes, at least get the colors right.

Sure, I'll take pics of my Chucky dolls sometime today. I have the Spencer's ones...not the Sideshow ones. So far, there are no companies that have gotten the doll right but there is a Japanese Good Guy doll that comes in an authentic looking Good Guy box that looks pretty awesome. The main problem on that doll is the plastic molded hair. Most people prefer the Sideshow Chucky dolls because the face is pretty good looking, but I hate the stuffed arms and hands with no fingers, as the body is cheaply done attached to a fairly good looking face. Out of all the dolls the most rare and most preferred is the Sideshow Bride of Chucky Tiffany doll. Her pricetag can reach over $100 and I do admit that she looks really cool, but I would never pay that. I don't even know if I would have paid the original $40 price for that matter. My Spencer's Chucky dolls have really grown on me. They are the same size as the real dolls (approximately at least), they can be posed, and the version I bought comes complete with a talking stand with lines from Bride of Chucky and I love that! I got the Chucky with the lighter hair, as the earlier version of the same doll had a darker tint of orange...which did look a bit cooler. I still love them though. They are standing in my room with their son Glen in front of them. Out of all the dolls, Glen is the first to be done correctly, as there are only a few minute details missing from him (eyelashes & "Made in Japan" logo on left arm). Like I said, I will have a bunch of pics up here by the late afternoon or tonight. ;)

cool, i looked at the dolls on ebay and though the Tiff should get redone by sideshow since their newer stuff is GREAT, i just would like a real rubber one with P-leather jacket and just authentic....i hate the way tiff looks in Seed she looks like Joan Rivers...tiff would say what joan said about her old apperance..."That Hag Looks Like ET!"

but i just wish they had GOOD chucky tiff and glenn-glennda, dolls, cause i dont know y but i am really into the chucky movies now...i just bought the dvd collection and the original

That's awesome! Yeah, I have been into Chucky ever since I was around ten years old (just two years after the original Child's Play came out). Child's Play is actually the very first horror film I bought (not the first that I had seen though). I have had the real old school '91 doll forever (the one with the blue mouth), but he was just a cheap-o from a flea market and looks nothing like the Chucky dolls...although he is funny to look at. I didn't get the Spencer's dolls until Christmas of last year and that is due to the whole Seed of Chucky film. I hadn't planned on seeing it since I am not the biggest fan of Bride of Chucky, but after joining the Chucky's Sperm Bank site (the official promotional team for Seed of Chucky), I decided that I'd give the movie a try...plus, I got a free ticket for the film when I bought the box-set. I ended up loving the film so much that it really rejuvinated my love for Chucky and I really got into the characters Glen & Tiff. So, I got Glen the first day he came out in my Spencer's and then Chucky & Tiff were given to me on Christmas Day. I love looking at them because it really feels as though they will come alive and start something in my room...yeah, strange I know. :)

I apologize for not having put up pics yet. I had a scare from account crap on Amazon but now that it is all taken care of and out of the way...I will definitely have pics posted here tomorrow. ;)

The last one is my 1991 Universal Chucky doll. I believe it was the first type of Chucky doll to be released. He is rather ugly but he can be found super cheap. The other ones above (Chucky & Tiff) can only be found at $50 and up...Glen at $40 and up. I hope this helps you out and I hope you are able to get a Chucky doll for yourself. ;)

No problem! ;)
Yeah, if you are into Glen, then that is the one I would go with first. Some hardcore fans have already made minor touch-ups to their Glen dolls and they look identical to the one in the film. Some people are even taking Glen and making him into Glenda with the wig, dress and all. I havn't heard of any other dolls coming out in the future, but I am pretty happy with what I have. The only thing I don't like is how Tiff is overdone on the eyeshadow and the bride getup...but other than that, she is fun. I wanted to show the knife under the dress because I thought that was cool and she is so nicely detailed right down to the fishnet stockings. Also, I forgot to mention that there is a difference between the boxed talking Chucky and Tiff dolls compared to the cheaper ones in the bags that do not come in a box. The cheaper ones sealed in bags I believe have plush bodies like Glen. The boxed ones are hard and can be posed somewhat. So if you don't care about talking stands, then maybe take a look at the plush ones. It all depends if you would rather display them or not. I am not 100% positive either, but I think there is a set of plush ones as well as the hard-bodied ones. I do know that the hard-bodied ones are the only ones available in boxes though. Someday, I may eventually go for one of the Sideshow Chucky dolls just because I like having an assortment of Chucky, but first I will have to find one with a fairly good deal. Anyway, good luck to you and I am glad you like the pics. :D
