Did anyone get the new 2 disc special edition dvd that recently came out. It has some really good deleted scenes on it.
Also, this movie is a favorite of mine..Great movie. Anyone else agree.

It's a great 2 disc set. I agree that some of the deleted scenes were enjoyable to watch. The only thing that was upsetting to watch was how drugged out Corey Haim looks now.

Corey Haim does look drugged out. I mean it was so sad. I noticed it right off the bat!! I could not believe it.

Before seeing him on the SE DVD I caught a look at him on the Dickie Roberts music video " child stars". I had to take a double look at the video because it looked like Corey Haim had gained 50 pounds.

The best part of that dvd was the history of vampires over the world and tales of creatures that relate to the vampire. Really nice.

Not really. They all seem pretty good in their roles.

I've never been a fan of Jamie Gertz so I wouldn't have minded someone else in her role.

The fact that the main characters are teens. If not in reality but character wise . The feel one gets from the movie is one of a child or teen vampire film. It was sorta aimed in that direction and that audience is basically the ones watching the movies.

This is one of my favorite films. I remember watching it as a kid...it was always one I loved to watch. The soundtrack is really good to.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what those kids are saying in the main song?
"Thou shall not ......"
I never could quite make it out, although the song rocks.
Long live the Lost Boys!
It's strange though, for having slaughtered the Batman series, Joel Schumacher has actually made some ok movies.

As far as best vampire flick, my vote is for "Interview with a Vampire". How many long-haired hunks can you cram into one movie? And little Kirsten's Claudia was so deliciously evil.
I do like "Lost Boys", though. When did the DVD come out?

Ive loved this movie ever since I was a kid. It used to be on USA during Halloween season but bot anymore. I just recently saw it again and was reminded at how good it was. As far as best Vampire movie, Nah but still awesome movie. Th ebst Vampire movie to me is probably Francis Ford Copolla's Dracula. The soundtrack to that movie is amazing as is the soundtrack to lost boys. Im not big on Vampire movies but I love movies about Count Dracula. Long live Bela Lugosi!!! Did yall know Bela Lugosi was buried with his Dracula Cape??

Yes, it's all true.
:)
He was hospitalized for drug abuse and being very sickly, and this devoted female fan wrote him loyally, and I guess that flattered him. Anyhoo, they shacked up.
Could you imagine writing to your screen lover, and then getting a marriage proposal! Yikes.

The Lost Boys is an awesome movie. It's one of the best IMO. I still need to get around to watching "The Tribe".

I love The Lost Boys! The fact that the vampires have a huge poster of Jim Morrison in their cave is great, not to mention that the lead characters looks like him. This movie is so fun. I can watch it a million times and it never gets old.

Haha, yeah, I remember being a bit weirded out by that to, thought it was kinda gay.
But given the films director, it's not that big of a surprise.:D
