The original was the best. Although the mansion from H5 is an amazing house, the original was great.

Great post man,
I gotta go with the original on this one...its great.
Although you cant hide the fact that the H5 mansion served well with the chase scene with Michael and Jamie...I couldn't imagine it in the original Myers house. But I had heard somewhere that there was a deleted scene in H4 saying that an insurance worker was going to buy the Myers House and rebuild on it. It's a pathetic thing to think about....there is NOTHING resembling the two together...but I heard it around here before. The H6 house was ok...at least it TRIED to make it look more like the original.

Exactly how I feel. it was simple, and small, but there was something creepy about it that left an impression on you. Just like the movie halloween.

The original Myers house. I think H:R had the house spot on.
However, I like the "cosy" feel of the house in H6, but I hated, and I mean hated, the H5 house. Yes, a good house, but why make it so completely different!

I liked how they TRIED to bring the original house back in H6, but what about the house in Resurrection??
It seemed off its mark on the inside; I always thought there was a wall against the staircase, in H1 all I remember is the front door and the wall beside the staircase. However, in Resurrection there is an opening in the wall leading past the staircase into an open room. This confuses me - does anyone know the truth to this??
Thanks,

H5's house was cool, but it just can't compare to the original.

The original house of course. The H5 house is a scary house, but it sucks as the Myers house because it looks NOTHING like it.

The H5 house.I mean, theres always the possibility that he moved into a big ass house. They never give the exact 45 Lampkin Lane address in H5.
Anyways,it looked badass, all ransacked and old.
Question is,how many of you would actually,if given the chance, move into it.I think it'd be too creepy to live in it,even though its just a movie and all,I'd have nightmares every night just being there.

Yes im sure between 1988 and 1989 myers sold his house and bought that one. You don't seriously think that do you? Loomis said "where it all began"
If given the chance id movie into the myers house in a heartbeat. In fact, thats what i plan to do someday.

Good luck on that, too.Since most of them are either now office buildings, were only sets or demolished.
I wanted to get that Friday the 13th Part 2 house from eBay awhile back.It was going for only $12,000.

i dont think they did bad on the myers house on resurrection.
I dont understand what u dont like about it....actaully, I just dont like how they didnt pay attention to ALL the detail. I mean, did they make the porch posts right?? you know the top where it creases...and the windows, as well as the gutter.
WHY DID THEY NOT PUT THE GUTTER....I thought that would be the PERFECT addition. I was pretty pissed that they screwed that up.

Y'know, I must say they didn't do a bad job in picking the house for Halloween 6. It doesn't look exactly the same as the original, but it does resemble it pretty well. The only thing that ticks me off is the way the stairs curl to the right at the top.

yeah, i do think they tried to get the house to look like the original again- it helps that in the story they were supposedly "fixing" the house up so that would explain why it looks different, even though there would have to be certain things that were NOT present in the H6 Myers house.
it would have been great if they would have had a set built like Resurrection - I think the whole atmosphere and all concerning H6 was great. they really TRIED to make it good.

The fact is, if you really think about it after looking at all the exterior views you get of the Myers house in halloween 6, it looks NOTHING like the original. But we let it slide and all it passible, because the house in H5 was a complete opposite of the Myers house.

It had a dark, vacated gothic feel like none of the others could ever have.It was one of a kind, and after all this time,I've come to like it.I know if I was trapped in any of them, this one would be the scariest to be stuck in.

i know,
to actually build a new myers house as a set they should have paid more attention to the interior, the gutter!!, and its surroundings. i didnt like how they put the myers house away from the other houses, in the original 2 films, it was more crowded with neighboring houses, and the interior in the Resurrection house was completely screwed up.

I've always considered them to be like the same film. One picks up where the other left off, Michael is still terrorizing Jamie, Loomis is protecting her, and despite her short role in part 5, we have Rachel again. Even the movie covers and subtitles are similar to each other. If H5 keeps close to any movie, it has to be H4. That's the way I see it though. Even if one is generally considered to be much better than the other, they can still be quite alike, because the quality of the movie is just one thing to think about when comparing.

The house in H1 is classic and it was neat how the house was used in H2, but I think the house in H5 is actually better in a lot of ways. Even though it doesn't make sense and dosn't look like house in previous ones. That house has a haunted house...halloween feel and look to it. Pretty cool, but hard for hard core fans to like it. (i'm a hard core fan) I'd have to watch H8 again to see how good or bad that house was.
