Has anyone bought the Halloween 8 pack from any of the multiple sellers on ebay?

Are they burnt copies? do they have any special features?

Wouldn't they have to be burned copies since there are no box sets for halloween cause aren't some films owned by different companies?

They're going to try and confuse you on this whole issue, Donnie. There's a shoddy picture (you should see the front since it looks like the 25th Anniversary DVD case) and no one in their right mind would sell a box set of Halloween movies for $30. They don't even have the posters in order on the back. The H20 Japanese poster is the last one with Resurrection in front of it. I know that a majority of the bootlegged product comes from China, so I'd be really leary. They probably are pressed DVD's and will last a long time if you're looking to complete your collection even on a bootlegged status. They're going to look like official releases from Anchor Bay and Universal and Dimension. If you don't care if you have bootlegs, I'd say buy it.

They're not bootlegs. That boxset is from China, and since everything is cheap from over there, why wouldn't that be? It's real, trust me.

Do you already have them?

That box set on ebay is totally legit. I can't believe that you guys haven't seen these. I bought mine about 6 months ago. The art work is real cool and all the discs are totally legit not bootlegged. my advice to all of you is to go to ebay and buy this bargain. I already had all of the dvds (some of them twice) but at this price the HALLOWEEN BOX is worth the price. If you guys have any questions about this boxed set please ask and I shall answer.

Later,
Diesel

There is an OFFICIAL uk boxset with all 8 in http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=182030&p=57&g=72

Also, check that persons feedback. One of them says about being poor quality copies and if you check out the item, you've guessed it, its one of the Halloween sets.

Just check out the UK boxset if you want a set with them all in.

Thanks for the link Blackraven, how much is the total price including shipping in U.S. currency?

BlackRaven

I don't know if they ship to the US. I was just posting that as an example. I know they ship to the UK from Canada for Region 1 titles.

Being from the UK, I only know sites that ship to here, sorry. There will be sites that ship Region 2 to USA - perhaps someone else could suggest some.

How about someone from the U.K shio it to me after I pay for it?

I could pay someone from the board the money and they could order it and ship it to me. I would pay for all the extra effort..

I have yet to buy any Halloween (or Carpenter) dvds, until now, I've always rented. I'm pretty sure I scored...

Thanks, I've been like a vulture on the "Buy it Now"/ "newly listed" of "Halloween dvd". Waiting for a deal on the 25th Anniv. dvd, and I saw that come up and thought, "What the Hell", I want those 2 also...

um k dont even think anyone is reading this, But Ill post anyway. i got my DVD all of them int he set. Good quality but they call came without individual cases. Like in a cd holder case with all of the dvd covers on the side. One cool thing is the box it came it. It came in a very nice box with pictures and stuff on the back and on the inside. Not bad for 30 bucks but Im pretty sure the DVDS are burned :(.

Yes I would say so....The only thing is that on the Originial Halloween,....You cant take off the chinese subtitles :(....and if you can I cant figure it out. Definatley - if you dont have much dough and you want all the movies - dvds....its a good buy. (and if you dont mind some subtitles LOL)

It looks awesome! and ive hear so many good things about it...i payed 40.50 for it...which i believe is quite a deal, 2 halloween dvds alone would be that price...or more...i would recommend people to get on ebay and snag yours! I wanted the uk version but i just got a new dvd player and i have no clue if its a region 1 or 2 or region free...anyone know how i could find out? i threw away the box and pamphlet...i know stupid move...if i can find out if its region free i will buy the uk set also!

Find out your make/model # of your dvdv player and go to Yahoo.com and type code breaker or region free.

There should be some results that might be able to help you break the region code on your DVD player.

The UK box is region 2, but this China edition is regionfree. If you're from the US, you've got region 1.

All the movies are bootlegged, is my bet. I still maintain that. I should post a picture of the DVD set of Hellraiser that I know is a bootleg.

I got this and it is a bootleg. They even lifted part of the DVD coverart from the Eddie Murphy Haunted mansion and incorperated it onto the box. real cheap!
