[The Dark Shape]

As a lot of the regulars know, I've had this particular Nightmare On Elm Street prequel in my head for a good two years now. I've been writing it on and off since July of 2003. However, I've finally decided to go full steem.

These are the first fiteen pages of my 'vomit draft' - essentially, I get all my ideas down into a basic story, and revise from there.

In about a week I'm going to take the pages offline, as I've received word from an agency that's interested in representing the script and presenting it to New Line Cinema.

With that said, hope y'all enjoy, and I look forward to the criticism. The file is in PDF format, so you need the free Adobe Reader to view it.

I like it! Its really interesting and i like the writing. At first i didnt know it was a prequel of sorts. So far so good. I would love to read more. :)

I will admit initially I wasn't enthusiastic about the idea of a prequel. However, after seeing the idea presented in this fashion I can easily say that it has captured my attention in a positive way.
I thought you opened it very nicely, crafted the scenario well, and the dialogue progressed with ease.
I'm sad for it to end so soon, but the fifteen pages were a treat. Good-luck on that representation.

It is pretty good, welldone. Most things i read on this forum are about Halloween but this is different, it's about the Nightmare on elm street..very cool.

Nightmare on Elm Street pretty cool! I got to admit you should of wrote onr of the nightmare on Elm Street novals. But could you do me a favour friend could you write one about my daddy? Or maybe my Granny?
