I liked 2 and 3 the most but 2 was classic in the 80's cheesy horror movies.

I loved the first, I was *so* shocked the very first time I saw it! The deaths were pretty creative (especially Judy's - OUCH!)

As for the sequels all I can say is they are entertaining. I should give part III a viewing again, it's been a while :)

I am partial to Sleepaway Camp 2. I loved the original just as much as the next guy, but for some reason I remember just having a blast the first time I viewed Unhappy Campers...or it could have been that I was drunk, I am not too sure. Anyways UC was just soooo cheesy and soooo bad, that it turned into this unmatched 80's cheese horror gem.

Anybody on the fence about buying the boxset, do yourself a favor and BUY IT!

Gonna have to go with the original.. I remember my jaw dropping at the end.. on top of that.. there were just so many stupid funny parts in it.. like Angela's cousin with the mouth, the fat cook getting burned.. funny stuff. :)

I caught this on the Horror Channel, parts 2 and 3, and they're so fucking good! I was expecting some really shitty slasher and i was totally amazed at how funny and inventive it actually was. Im gonna get the box set as soon as i have enough money, im trying to get like 5 other box sets right now too. Is it just me or is Pamela Springsteen actually pretty cute?

I thought part three was the best. The underdog. Read the essay I wrote in the box set booklet to find out why. I like 'em all though.

The first SC is a classic in my eyes. I think of all three films as a whole even tho the sequels are more cheesy than the first, but that's what makes these films fun to watch.

Sleepaway Camp fucking rules. I'd kill for Ronnie's shorts. And I really think someone should do a cover of "You're Just What I've Been Looking For (Angela's Theme)" for Return to Sleepaway Camp.

SC2 was a damn entertaining corny 80's slasher. I still cringe when Angela hits Phoebe with the tree branch and her temple just gushes blood...

SC3 was alright, but Pam's hideous hair in that movie causes me not to watch it...

i like part 2 best, totally.

id never seen any of ther series until a few months ago, but i really like part 2, Teenage Wasteland is my second favorite.

this is one series to me that both of the sequels outdone the original movie, i like the way the sequels have more outlandish death scenes and dont take themselves so seriously.

long live Angela!!!

Part 2 is my favourite of the series. Part one had a great ending but it took so long for the movie to get going. Part 3 was just to cheap looking. The only up side was seeing a young Tracy Griffith (Melanie's sister)in the movie.

Part 2 is my favorite from the series.

The shit sisters are what it's all about!
Haha, nah. But their death scene was quite horrific. Angela's choice of costume wasn't half bad either. Leatherface took him all down!

I thought part 3 was comical. The peak of my laughter being the scene where the lady got the lawnmower to her face.

Oh, and can't forget Angela's rap! Very classy.

Sleepaway Camp 2; an extremely entertaining film. I love Angela's casual but twisted demeanor, her one liners are great, it has the best deaths of the 3(I love the throwbacks to Leatherface, Jason and Freddy; the throat slashing with the Freddy glove was classic), and one of the best sex scenes I've ever seen in a horror film.
I loved the original too, that has one of the best endings ever.
I thouhgt 3 was ok, doesn't come close to its predecessors though. The kills and Angela's dialogue just isn't up to par with SC2, I really enjoyed the extended gore footage on the dvd though.

I love prt.2!! Pamela Springsteen is fantastic as Angela. I normally hate horror-comedies, but I love this one.

Part 2 in first place and not part 1?

I'm ashamed of you all! :godno:

Geez, this sucker must have been buried...in page 200?

Hmm...My favorite Sleepaway Camp...toss-up between 1 and 2, with 2 probably having more of a replayability...so 2 :)

Although I enjoy all 3 of their Campy goodness...

Cheese factor...10! "It's good to be easy...It's good to be cheesy..."

I have the Best Buy exclusive with the 4th bonus disc...with footage of Sleepaway Camp: The Survivor. It's OOP now. I'm glad I bought it when I first saw it.

I've always been partial to Sleepaway Camp 2. I like all 3, but i've always enjoyed 2 the most. I've always found it to be more definitive of the series.

I like the 2nd one best. It's just great. The original is great too but I'm fond of the 2nd and 3rd one though.

Especially the 3rd one. The fight between Marcia and Angela was great. Wished it was longer though.

Surprised as hell that 2 is leading the vote tally. The original is a classic.

I'm very suprised myself to see that Unhappy Campers won the poll. In my opinion, it doesn't even come close to the original. Just my opinion though.

cheers

I agree. While I love Parts 2 and 3, they never 'outdid' the original. Some love them more than Part 1, and that's fine, but 'outdoing' is something the sequels never did.

The reason I love Part 1 so much is that it has amazing characters, variety of kills (though they all do), and possibly the best horror atmosphere I've ever seen. Gotta love it!

Not to mention the incredibly disturbing ending of the original! I'll never forget first seeing it.
