I can't list every single thing that the man has made.. but I figured if I stuck to the main ones there shouldn't be any problems.. but I put "Other" on there just in case there may be something of his that I may have never even heard of.
Anyways.. my fav would have to be Psycho.. duh. But in the past few years I've been watching Vertigo alot and it's really REALLY good.. so I would recommend that after Psycho and then probably Rear Window to anyone wanting to see some good Hitchcock films.

was a hard one...I like Lifeboat, Spellbound, Strangers on a Train, North by Northwest, Psycho, and the Birds (I'll like more when I've seen more)
but I went with North by Northwest :)

Man, so many of these are good...Spellbound, Vertigo, Psycho, Birds, Dial M for Murder, Rear Window...its really a hard decision. But since most will go with Psycho, I'll be different and go with Vertigo. heh.

Psycho gets my vote cause it was the first Hitchcock movie id ever seen long ago, and the fact that ive seen it SO many times over the years.
theres something really interesting about Norman Bates, the fact that we can all relate to "going mad sometimes" and doing stuff we later regret and feel bad for. everyone has got mad and exploded and regretted it 6 minutes later.
the original movie made a really good base for the 3 other movies if you ask me, i like the franchise as a whole and i have since i was really a kid, theres some real distinctions in there that make it different from any other horror franchise out there.

Eh, I had to go with Psycho. I remember the first time I seen it, the ending was indeed a surprise to me. I had thought all that time the crazed mother was wrecking havoc. Mind you this was like eight years ago...
To be honest though, I have only seen Psycho, Rear Window, and The Birds.

I'm all about Frenzy. First Hitchcock movie I saw after 'Psycho' and I loved every minute of it. The shots he does, the scenery, the acting, perfection. That and The Birds are my favorite Hitchcock movie. I love Rear Window, but I know all you people are going to vote for that or Psycho, so Frenzy gets the vote.

That's a pretty good movie, the only one I own besides Psycho taped off TV.
Did anyone ever see the Hitchcock movie Saboteur? The end takes place on the Statue of Liberty. I really want to see it but can never find it in stores.

I forgot to add Saboteur to my fave Hitchcock films. That's another good movie. It contains that famous Hitchcock element : the wrong man accused who's trying to prove his innocence. As a matter of fact, Saboteur is airing this month on Turner Classic Movies on Oct 29. :)
That was a hard one, i chose psycho...but i also enjoyed the birds, and many others he did.

I will admit that I have not seen most of the films on that list, but I know in the end that Psycho would still win my vote since I love it so much. I will have to pull out my dad's Hitchcock collection and start watching more of them because I really do enjoy the Hitchcock style.

For my money you can't beat Rear Window.
It is hard to choose between Psycho, The Birds, and Rear Window. I had to stick with Psycho in the end, because it basically created my favorite movie genre (or sub-genre).

My favorite has to be Vertigo, I can watch that movie over and over and there is always something new that pops out at me. Rear Window is a close second followed by shadow of a doubt.
I have been watching some more Hitchcock recently, I just watched Rope last night. Pretty good movie. I would recommend it to those who haven't seen it.

Psycho is my favorite but how can anyone not also enjoy Vertigo (2nd favorite), North by Northwest, Strangers on a Train, The Birds or Rear Window? Speaking of The Birds, I just read on IMDB that Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes is working on a remake of that movie. UGH!

weird note about Birds.. it was noted in one of my vis comm classes as being one of the only movies with a 'mistake' in it. Near the end when the character is sitting on the bench and the birds are gathering behind her she looks to the side (where we know from context is where the building is) but instead the camera shows the birds.. generaly when a character looks in a direction the next shot is what they see. and we know she didnt see the birds. i just found that interesting.

Tough. It's between Strangers on a Train, Rope & Rear Window.
I voted for Strangers on a Train since that was the first to come to mind. But it all depends on my mood, but yeah Strangers was brilliant.

LOL @ the poll thinking I'm actually going to choose between Strangers On A Train, Dial M For Murder, Rear Window, Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds and Frenzy. It must be drunk.
Can't believe Hitchcock's favorite film of his is Shadow Of A Doubt, when you have these excellent aforementioned choices. Hahaha. :D

Psycho is definetly one of my all time favorite horror films, but I decided to go with The Birds simply for it's creepiness -- and that fact that it made me never look at Raven's the same way again.
