Actually I heard they are working on the H9 mask right at this time. Akkad is trying to get the rights for William Shatner's likeness so they can create a mask similar to the original one.

It is a downfall because it doesn't really represent anything towards the basic features of the other masks.
However, I'll give it props for being pretty scary.

It is DEFINATELY the most unusual mask of the series.
Too bad the Myers' masks are always different - it would help w/ continuity if they could do something like Jason's hockey mask or Freddy Krueger's burn't skin. *Make-Up*

Since the mask is a full head rubber mask though, it will pretty much always be impossible to keep the same mask for each film.

1. H2 - its creepy and is the orginal actully

H1 - The Original and probably the scariest.
H2 - Same as H1, however w/ it's different look come's second.
H6 - I like this mask a lot. There were several different versions, and I like the one that was on the cover of Fangoria. I am not sure if it was used in the T-Cut or what because I own and have only seen the P-Cut, but oh well.
H7 - The beginning mask was casted off a H6 mask, enough said.
H7 KNB - This mask was pretty good, but I just had a problem w/ it in certain scenes. It made Myers look like some dude in a mask. I liked how it looked at the end where he is reaching out for Laurie though.
H8 - Probably one of the best attempts to make the mask look like the original. I just wish it didn't look pissed and stuff.
H4 - Well, if only they redid the Shatner mask right...They used the same method but didn't convert it the way they should have. That is a downfall of the film I must say, however, the mask did look pretty good in certain scenes.
H5 - Sorry to put it last...usually I don't. I don't know I guess it just worked it's way here. Since it bears no resemblance to the other masks, it's somewhat of a letdown. But I have become attached to the "Big Neck" and must admit it is probably one of the scariest masks in the series.

Yeah, I have noticed this myself.

I think it is the lighting w/ the blue light from outside - it brings out the original features that unfortunately weren't shown very well w/ H4's conversion of the Kirk mask.

I agree - it is probably the best scene of the entire movie mask wise, it looked VERY good.

Ya, I think that in both H20 and H8 he doesn't really seem like the evil force that he was in H1-H6. He is more human and normal, I dunno. Its just not the same. They aren't portraying him the same anymore.

I would have to disagree for Brad Loree in Resurrection.

He was great - he was probably the best after Nick Castle and Dick Warlock.
I mean, he had the walk, the eyes, the pace, and great death scenes...i mean, he WAS Michael.
I just didnt feel the same way for H20's incarnation.

Personally I love H6. It had a good direction and great atmosphere let alone bringing the series into a new direction - I mean how many random sequels do we need before we find out why Myers is killing his family members. ;)

Part 6's mask takes the cake for me. The original of course is the trendsetter and start of it all,so you got to love that one,but i've just always been drawn to 6's mask design the most. Plus, Wilbur was the best shape to me.

You simply can't beat the original mask, but I liked the look in H20. I didn't like how they had a lot of light shining right on it though. You notice how they show more of Michael now than they did in the original? It's better to have the mask dark where you can barely see Michael coming.

Actually, I like HR's mask a lot. The original is classic and is the spookiest since its featureless---but that HR mask was bad-ass.

The original...by far, but a close second is Resurrection's mask, which you have to admit came the closest to the original than any of the other sequels...

The original mask was THE BEST. Nothing has yet to come close to it in the series so far. Its cool because Neccas 18inch Micheal figure has it down pat. So for me the original has yet to be duplicated.

Other than the first, my favorite mask would have to be a tie between the H20 mask and the H:R mask. I love both of them, really. The H20 mask, while being quite different, had something special about it that I can't quite place, but for some reason, it's easier for me to look at these two and say "That's Michael Myers" than some of the other masks he's had.

The original mask from H1/H2 and the H4 poster wins forever. There's nothing that can compare to it. No other mask in the series came nearly as close to the creep factor that mask had, especially in the hallway scene at the end of the film. Its face was so strange!

That said, the mask has long lost its creepiness due to age and gravity taking their toll. I doubt we'll ever see anything good enough to replicate that demented, twisted feeling so well ever again. I *do* love the H5 mask, but that is another subject entirely...

I know that the H2 mask is the same as the original mask, but there are certain scenes where the mask looks like it just got the shit kicked out of it. Now I've been told that the mask wasn't taken very good care of, so that's why it was in poor condition. So there's certain scenes where I like the mask and then there's others where I don't like it at all.
