the fans chance to write an ending

i was home thinking one night and i had an idea come to me. (and no i wasn't on the pooper at the time) since we all love halloween movies and we all have strong opinions on which way the franchise should go i thought it would be fun to give you, the fans, a voice. this thread is for all the people and aspiring writers out there who have always wanted to write their own version of how they would end the halloween movie franchise. i would like people to write out either in script format, or basic descriptive style, their version of the final confrontation scene and/or full length movie. if you want to bring back laurie to face michael one last time, do it! if you want dr. loomis's child to end it, so be it! john tate? bring him too! the surviving cast from part 6 who were cast aside once they made h20? let them have a whack at michael. or if you want michael to win out in the end and kill all his relatives, i'd love to see that too. basically this is your chance to write out how you would end it all. don't just give me a few lines here. give this some thought, make an outline and post it here. if you have any questions or comments on your ideas but aren't too sure how to write them down, or if you have questions on how i want this to be done just send me a private message. i look forward to hearing from as many people as possible on this. let's see what ideas we can come up with.

This is from a Halloween 9 script I wrote which I am re writing into a 10 script.

Cut to. Int. TOMMY'S HOSPITAL ROOM LATER
In darkness balancing on his good leg dressing TOMMY DOYLE, his face and body
bruised and scarred but his faith not beaten he eases on his TRENCH COAT all
the while the sounds of SCREAMING can faintly be heard coming form another part
of the hospital.
Cut to. Int. AUTOPSY ROOM SAME
The lifeless body of CHARLIE RICHMOND hits the floor hard in full frame, BLOOD
FLOWING from his neck; eye's staring at us. Standing over his kill is THE
SHAPE, bloodied and beaten, MASK RIPPED and BLOOD SMEARED from the GUNSHOT to
the head earlier that night, slowly he leaves the room, glancing one last time
at his victim.

Cut to. Int. HALLWAY SAME
TOMMY pokes his head through crack in the door, checking for any sign of COPS
or NURSES he slips outside and heads to find an exit.

TOMMY paces toward us as fast as his legs will carry him, rounding corners in a
maze of identical hallways.

He turns another corner to be confronted by THE SHAPE, TOMMY turns and run back
the way he came.

THE SHAPE takes a step forward in pursuit but stops waits for awhile breathing
heavily, clearly in pain then disappears the way he came.

Cut to. Int. KARA'S ROOM LATER
KARA STRODE lies hooked up to an impressive array of life SUPPORT-MACHINES. A
device monitoring her heartbeat pulses every few seconds and she looks worst
for wear. The line of light coming from the open door decorates her pasty face.

We watch her for a while lying there breathing harsh breaths, tubes penetrating
through her nose and THROAT.

Suddenly the light widens and is momentarily blocked out by the silhouette of a
person entering the room.

At the end of the bed stands a CONCERNED FEMALE NURSE checking over some papers
on a clipboard occasionally staring up at Kara sincerely. She returns the
clipboard to its holder and walks over to the sea of machines she inspects each
one then leaves the room.

We focus back on KARA'S face as the door light returns to a crack, then slowly
widens then closes then widens again.

We realize the door is just swinging on it's own accord.

Then over the beeps of the heart monitor and mixing with KARA'S own comes the
rhythmic breathing of THE SHAPE. Slowly he dissolves out of the darkness,
scalpel in hand, glistening in the light from the hallway. The details of the
MASK slowly emerging, the emotionless eyes and face, the rip on the forehead
and the grey mixing with beads of red, THE SHAPE'S BLOOD STREAMS down the
detail on the MASK.

Still a symbol of PURE EVIL

His shadow closes over KARA'S HELPLESS BODY, as he comes to stop beside her bed
breathing heavier from excitement.

He places one of it's blood-soaked hands on her forehead pushing it back and
exposing her neck while with the other runs the blade of the SCALPEL ACROSS HER
THROAT DRAWING BLOOD then plunging it deep into her VOICE BOX and ripping it
upwards into the bottom her MOUTH.

BLOOD FILLS the tubes coming form her mouth and nose but she doesn't move, as
if in some peaceful sleep, she doesn't realize what's going on. The BEEPS from
the heard monitor grow slower and more random then slowly they die.

THE SHAPE withdraws the SCALPEL and leaves it on the COVERS, wiping his hands
on the sheets leaving them smeared DARK RED leaving the room disappearing into
the maze again.

Cut To. Int. HALLWAY SAME
TOMMY rounds another corner looking for KARA'S room, he stops looking to one
end of the new HALLWAY then to the other.

In the silence he picks on an all too familiar sound breaking the silence, the
rough rhythmic breathing of THE SHAPE. He freezes is about to turn when out of
the DARKNESS THE SHAPE grabs him from behind and we hear a KNIFE entering his
flesh.

TOMMY winces in pain.

TOMMY (Elbowing THE SHAPE):
FUCK YOU!

He pulls away from him, stumbling forward.

THE SHAPE bounds forward grabs TOMMY from the back of the neck and smashes
TOMMY'S face into the wall.

BLOOD SMEARING against the white wall.

TOMMY SCREAMS.

TOMMY grabs a FIRE EXTIN

GUISHER off of the wall and swings it round hitting THE
SHAPE across the back with a HARD DULL WHACK sending him to the floor. TOMMY
trips up trying to flee.

THE SHAPE gets back up drawing his blade as he looms over him TOMMY kicks him
away. He falls back as TOMMY grabs the FIRE EXTINGUISHER and begins beating him
repeatedly with it THE SHAPE recoils, lying still.

MOTIONLESS.

TOMMY stops hitting him.

TOMMY:
You bastard!

He raises the blunt end of the FIRE EXTINGUISHER high.

THE SHAPE grabs his ankle hard SNAPPING in with a loud CRACK.

TOMMY falls to his feet SCREECHING in pain throwing the FIRE EXTINGUISHER at
THE SHAPE.

He dodges it.

RAISES his and KNIFE and STABS TOMMY in the STOMACH.

TOMMY grabs THE SHAPES arm, drawing him close.

TOMMY:
I hope your burn in hell.

THE SHAPE rips the KNIFE upward through TOMMY'S ABDOMEN, blood splashing THE
SHAPES overalls.

He grabs TOMMY by the face squeezing it HARD, TOMMY moans in pain, as THE SHAPE
bashes his head onto the cold floor repeatedly crushing his skull.

TOMMY'S body goes limp letting go of THE SHAPE'S wrist.

Dead.

Peaceful.

THE SHAPE leaves the scene disappearing into another part of the HOSPITAL.

We spiral out from OVER HEAD on TOMMY'S lifeless corpse blood seeping from his
wounds.

Cut to. Ext. LAMPKIN LANE LATER
We are in the presence of the MYERS HOUSE; all the REPORTERS have since left.

THE STREETS ARE COLD.

EMPTY.

Leaves rustle in the October winds as THE SHAPE approaches 'HOME'.

A DARK SILHOUETTE IN THE NIGHT.

The 'HALLOWEEN' theme starts to play.

Over the top of the theme we here a familiar but haunting tune.
GROUP OF CHILDREN SINGING:
Black cats and Goblins and Broomsticks and Ghosts.
Covens of Witches with all of their hosts.
You may think they scare me you're probably right, black cats and goblins on
HALLOWEEN night.

TRICK OR TREAT!












FADE TO BLACK.

In the left-hand corner of the screen a small orange triangle starts to glow,
eventually becoming a Jack 'o' Lantern.
