Halloween 3: Evil Returns. I wrote this script in two and a half days. Its not very long... probably not as descriptive as most, but I thought it was a decent storyline. There may be a few spelling mistakes or typos, but I was just trying to get it finished not only to post, but so that I could finish it for myself. It was stuck in my head, now that's it finished I can focus on other stuff. Im weird like that, whenever I get into writing a story I become the story and am unable to leave it. So the past two and a half days I've been thinking about the story. Well I hope you guys like it and post any thoughts on it you'd like. I'd like to do more stories, but I guess it'll depend on what people think of this one.

Halloween Night 1978
Haddonfield Memorial Hospital

Loomis nods towards the door as he continues opening the tanks. The Shape continues swinging his knife through the air searching for Laurie or his Doctor. Blinded by the gunshots and unable to hear over the gas escaping through the tanks, he is having no luck finding either of them. Laurie ducks under Michael and runs out of the room. Loomis pulls a lighter out of his coat pocket.

Dr. Loomis: It is time Michael.

The Shape stops swinging his knife and turns his head as Dr. Loomis flicks the lighter on. A loud explosion sounds as fire engulfs the room. The music begins to play as the words Halloween 3 flash across the screen and under those words “Evil Returns” flashes across the screen. The credits begin rolling with the actor’s names and whom they play. The Halloween music dies down.

Detective John Hill’s residence

The ringing of a phone is heard as the phone comes into view. It rings a few more times and a hand comes down on top of it and pulls it off the stand. The camera pans back and a man, with a 5 o clock shadow, and hair sticking up every which way on his head puts the phone receiver to his ear.

John: Hello…this is John.

John rubs his eyes and sits up out of bed, he looks over at his clock and it reads 6:40 A. M.

John: Oh no sir you didn’t wake me, I actually just came in from my morning jog…Another murder you say? What is this the 14th one this month…let me guess teenage blonde blue eyed female, multiple lacerations on neck and chest. Great just great, who was it? Allison Campbell? That’s one of my little sister’s friends…. Have you told her parents…ok… yeah… uh huh. Let me take a shower and I’ll be down there in a few.

John hangs up the phone.

John: Just great.

John struggles out of bed and stands up. He grabs his head in pain. He goes over to the curtain and pulls the drape back, looking into the darkness towards the rising sun slicing through the darkness like a hot knife through butter. He shuts the drape and walks towards the bathroom flicking the light on. He goes to the mirror and opens it up, takes out a bottle of Tylenol. He takes a paper cup from under the sink and fills it with water, opens the bottle of Tylenol, and pops three into his mouth. He takes a swig of water and swallows the pills down, pours the water out and begins getting dressed.

Haddonfield Police Headquarters

A squad car pulls up in front of police headquarters and John steps out of the car. He’s got black Oakley sunglasses on, blue jeans, and a Haddonfield Slashers football shirt on. He walks into the police station.

Phones are ringing off the hook as he walks straight towards Chief Carpenter’s office. He gives it one knock and opens the door. The chief, a balding man with glasses, is talking on the phone. Detective Davis a young, bulky blonde man is sitting down across from the chief. The chief looks up at John and hangs the phone up.

Chief Carpenter: Sit down Hill.

John sits down. The chief presses a button on the phone.

Chief Carpenter: Hold all calls Suzy, thank you.

The chief clasps his hands together.

Chief Carpenter: Late night last night?

John gives a small smile.

John: Eh, not really I watched I Love Lucy reruns and drank warm milk.

Detective Davis: You look like shit John.

John shoots a glance over towards Davis.

Chief Carpenter: Alright guys. How old are you John?

John: Thirty-five, sir.

Chief Carpenter: So you remember about 27 years ago.

John: How could I forget? I went to school with Tommy, he was the talk of the school. Not to mention Lauren being stalked by that guy and all of her friends dying. But she was saved by the most famous doctor in Illinois history, Dr. Loomis. What ever happened to Tommy, Lauren, and Loomis?

Chief Carpenter: It was Laurie.

John: Oh Laurie.

Chief Carpenter: They moved shortly after the incident, and Dr. Loomis is in a retirement home outside of Haddonfield. Anyway, that is beside the point. I think we are dealing with it all over again.

Detective Davis gets up out of his seat.

Detective Davis: Oh no, don’t give me this crap. There is no possible way Michael Myers could still be alive. For one he was burned into a little crispy critter decades ago. And for two, I was three when it happened, he was twenty-one. That’s eighteen years difference, which would mean he’s almost half a century old.

Chief Carpenter: He’s younger than I am.

Detective Davis: But that’s exactly my point, Michael Myers is the most famous Michael in Illinois history, and that’s saying a lot when you think about Michael Jordan. The guy is old and probably burned to a crisp. If he is alive, which he’s probably not, he’s a hermit now living away from everyone basking in his old glory. He’s much too old now to be going around killing teenagers.

Chief Carpenter: Its far-fetched I’ll give you that.

John: Davis, I’ve got a really bad headache will you please sit down and shut up.

Detective Davis: The idea is horrible.

John: Like your accuracy with a pistol, just sit down.

Detective Davis: Well, at least my wife didn’t leave me you fucking drunk.

John slams his hand on the Chief’s desk and stands up.

Chief Carpenter: Guys shut the hell up and both of your sit down, now!

The two detectives sit down.

Detective Davis: Ass.

John: Prick.

Chief Carpenter: Alright, now that we’re done fighting like school children lets try and figure out what the hell is going on. The media is in my ass about this and so far nobody has any idea on what this guy is doing. John, what do you think?

John: Well, I agree with Davis that the Myers idea is very far-fetched. But it make sense that the killings could be related.

Chief Carpenter: Explain.

John: Well, I don’t believe that Michael Myers could still be alive. As you said Loomis is in a retirement home, he’s burned on over half of his body. Now I’ve read the case file on Myers and they never found his body.

Detective Davis: Everyone knows that already.

John: Exactly! And like you said Michael is the most famous person in Illinois, probably in the nation. He’s feared by many. Now what if there was somebody, who was already a little sick and twisted and wanted the spotlight. What I think we’ve got, is a copycat on our hands. Look at the pictures of the victims they’ve all been killed with knives, big knives, just like what Myers did. The only person who has ever dealt with this type of behavior is Loomis. Is he sane enough to talk to?

Chief Carpenter: I’ll give the institution a call and I’ll see what we can do.

John: Great. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go and tend to my sister, one of her friends has been brutally murdered.

Chief Carpenter: Take the time you need. Whenever I figure out a time I’ll call you on the Loomis deal. It’s going to be hard, the media has tried for years to get inside.

John: Try your best.

John gets up out of his seat and walks out of the office.

The Hill’s Residence

John’s squad car pulls up to a two story old brown house. He walks towards the door and opens it.

John: Mom, Dad… its John.

The house is dead quiet, an uneasiness comes across John’s face. He walks through the living room and there is nobody in there.

John: Mom! Dad! Syd!

John begins to walk upstairs looking behind him as he walks. He makes it to the top and turns around, running right into his someone. John jumps in the air and reaches towards his gun but stops when he realizes it’s his mother. His mom looks down at his hand.

Mrs. Hill: You alright dear.

John pulls his hand off his holster.

John: Yes mom, its just all of this killing is making me very uneasy.

Mrs. Hill: Yes, all of us.

Mrs. Hill wipes tears from her eyes.

John: How is she?

Mrs. Hill: Her best friend was killed last night, how do you think she is?

John: Can I talk to her?

Mrs. Hill: She’s very upset, but yes go ahead.

John: Where’s Dad?

Mrs. Hill: He went to the store to buy bars for the windows.

John: I saw the car though.

Mrs. Hill: Jeff took him, he left the car here, just in case. We’re all a little paranoid.

John: If you’d seen some of the pictures of the victims, you wouldn’t think he’s so paranoid.

John begins walking towards his sister’s room.

Mrs. Hill: Oh and John.

John turns around.

John: Yeah.

Mrs. Hill: Just remember you’re her brother, not just a cop.

John nods and knocks on his sisters door.

John: Syd, you in there?
A young dark haired girl of about eighteen is shown sitting on a bed with a pink comforter. She has a bunch of pictures scattered on her bed. Her eyes are swollen and red.

Sydney: Who is it?

John: Its me.

Sydney: Yeah come in.

The door opens and Sydney jumps off of her bed and grabs John. She begins wailing uncontrollably.

Sydney: Theee bbastard, he took her from us! Catch him John… catch him.

Tears fill up in John’s eyes.

John: I’ll try… I’ll try.

Sydney lets go of her brother and sits down on her bed.

Sydney: She was scared to stay by herself last night, but she had to. Her parents had to go to a meeting in Chicago. She called me last night and said that her dogs wouldn’t stop barking and that she was scared, so I stayed on the phone with her until at least three in the morning. She was tired and said she’d call me in the morning. So I let her go, but I didn’t want to. Oh God John its all my fault

Sydney begins crying more.

John: No No No, no its not.

Sydney: No it is! I saw him John.

John’s eyes widen.

John: You saw who?

Sydney: The killer. At least I think I did.

Sydney wipes her eyes and chokes on her tears.

Sydney: Well, I walked her to her house last night, and as I was leaving I couldn’t help but feel like I was being watched and I looked up and I saw a shadow on the wall of her parent’s bedroom. It was the shadow of a man. I thought I was seeing things so I just turned around and left, but it was him!

John begins to breathe heavy.

John: So he saw you too?!

Sydney: What?

John: Nothing, just stay in here.

Sydney: What?!

Sydney breaks down again.

John: I don’t know. I’ll be right back.

John walks out of the room and shuts the door behind him.

John: Shit.

John walks down the stairs and into the kitchen, the camera zooms in on his mother slicing bread with a butcher knife, she then puts it back into the holder and the camera holds the image for a few seconds.

John: Mom.

Mrs. Hill: Yes.

John: The killer knows who Sydney is.

Mrs. Hill’s eyes widen.

Mrs. Hill: What? How do you know?

John: She told me that she saw a shadow when she walked Allison home.

Mrs. Hill: Maybe she was just seeing things.

John: No mother.

Mrs. Hill: Well what can we do?

John: Well, if he was in the house with Allison, then he didn’t follow Syd home. So he doesn’t know where she is. Keep her here, don’t let her go anywhere until we catch this guy. That’s what you can do.

Mrs. Hill: This is getting scary John. I haven’t been this scared since…

John puts his head down.

Mrs. Hill: Is it? Is it him?

John: Well, we haven’t ruled it out. Though it is very unlikely after all this time he’d come back. Chances are he’s not even alive, but we can’t rule it out. If not him, then we may have a copycat on our hand. Since nobody has gotten an identification on him we can’t exactly say for sure. We know he’s a serial killer and we know he likes knives, the similarities are there. We’re confident that we’ll have him caught my Halloween though. The media has been a circus, so I’m not going to tell anyone what Syd saw, because if they find out they’ll be here and then… there’s no way to keep her hidden.

Mrs. Hill: Yes.

John: Im going back to the station.

Mrs. Hill: John.

John: Yes mom.

Mrs. Hill: Your room is still here, if you want to stay with us. I mean its got to be very lonely without…

John: I’ll manage. You just keep the doors locked and Syd indoors. I’ll call you tonight if we find out anything.

Mrs. Hill: Ok. Oh and about Allison, how were the pictures?

John: I haven’t seen them yet. I will when I get back to the station. Chief said they were bad, he got her while she was in the shower, that’s all I know at this point.

Mrs. Hill: What should I tell Syd if she asks?

John: About the pictures? Tell her there were no visible cuts or scrapes on her… it’ll make it easier.

Mrs. Hill: Ok.

John: Bye, I love you.

Haddonfield Police Headquarters

John is seen sitting at a desk looking down at a folder. He is turning page after page. He rubs his chin. A knock is heard on the door and John jumps up, his hand goes to his gun once again, but its only Chief Carpenter.

Chief Carpenter: A little jumpy?

John: Its just the alcohol.

Chief Carpenter: Yeah, what is that you’re looking at?

John: Just the case file on Myers.

Chief Carpenter: I’ve looked through it many times, its amazing.

John: I just see the pictures and they look exactly like those pictures. This copycat, knows Myers exact patterns.

Chief Carpenter: Yes, I know. That’s where I got the idea in the first place.

John: Well when I can get over to see Loomis it’ll answer a few other questions.

Chief Carpenter: Well the thirty-first.

John: I believe that may too late.

Chief Carpenter: For what?

John: I don’t know. Well, these killings didn’t start until October and there’s a reason. Myers only killed around Halloween, after Halloween if we don’t meet up before then I have a feeling the killings will stop.

Chief Carpenter: Well, then we only have to deal with it for another week.

Chief begins laughing and John looks up at him.

John: Sir, I have an eighteen year old sister, every picture I see of these young girls I think about what if it was her there in those pictures. These girls have parents, they have brothers…

Chief Carpenter: I know. I know. Look John its almost midnight, you go home and get some sleep I’ll put Detective Davis on call.

John: Very well.

John gets up and takes the Myers file over to the copy machine and begins to copy the files.
Chief Carpenter: You do know that’s against protocol.

John: With all do respect, screw protocol.

The Chief shakes his head and walks out of the door as John continues copying the papers.

Lacey Zunker’s Residence

A young blonde big busty girl is shown sitting on a couch with her phone to her ear.

Lacey: Oh shut you perv….you just wish you knew what I was wearing. What if I told you that I was naked, how would you feel about that. You’re so stupid Jason. You want me to what? Flash the next car that comes by out my window. Haha, why you wish it was you? Yeah I’m sure. No I’m not scared, hold on let me turn on my light.

Lacey walks towards her front door and turns on her light. She walks over to her big windows and opens the curtains. She stands there waiting for a car.

Lacey: Ok, I’m waiting you sick perv.

Car lights begin closing in to the house.

Lacey: Ok here comes a car.

The car comes by and Lacey lifts up her shirt. As the car drives by a shape of a man steps out from behind the bushes. Lacey shuts the curtains.

Lacey: Oh blah, they probably didn’t even see. Yes I really did it, I told you I was. Well come on over, my parents aren’t here…they won’t be back until almost four in the morning. Hey we’ve got a couple of hours! All of this talking has made me sleepy. Since you aren’t going to come over I’m going to go ahead and go to sleep. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, yeah whatever bye bye.

Lacey hangs the phone up and places it on the end table. She grabs the remote and begins flipping through channels. Her eyelids begin to weaken and they close. A screeching noise is heard from outside. Lacey’s eyes open up wide and she jumps up. She walks over to where the noise came from, her front windows.

Lacey: Um… whooos there?

Lacey grabs the curtain and begins to move it back from behind the window, she looks outside… unable to see anything, she leans closer towards the window and peers outside. To her horror the shape of a man is shown on her front lawn. She screams a blood curdling scream and runs toward her couch. She picks up the phone.

Lacey: 911, there is somebody outside my house.

October 24th, 2005
Haddonfield Police Headquarters

Detective Davis is shown sitting on the receptionist’s desk slicing an apple with a pocket knife. He uses the knife to flick the slices into his mouth. He is chatting with the young girl.

Davis: Yes, John Hill… he’s a nut. His wife left him a few months ago and he’s gone off the deep end on a drinking binge. Chief is too loyal to drop the drunk too.

Pam: Well, I personally think he’s hot.

Davis: You would. But I’m going to be the one to put this stupid serial killer to rest and then the chief will be high on me, like he should be.

Pam: Shouldn’t you be patrolling for him or something?

Davis: Looking for what? Its 2 o clock in the morning!

The phone in the station begins to ring. Davis and Pam look at each other perplexed.

Davis: Answer it.

Pam picks up the phone.

Pam: Yes… ok, we’ll have someone there stat.

Pam hangs up the phone.

Pam: That was the 911 operator, there’s a girl on 191 Chestnutt that said she saw somebody in her yard.

Davis: I guess I’ll go.

Pam: It could be him, I’ll call John.

She picks up the phone but Davis slams it back down.

Davis: No, chances are its nothing. Chief said to let him sleep. I’ll take it.
Davis takes his keys and heads out of the police station.

October 24th, 2005
Lacey Zunker’s Residence

Davis’s squad car pulls up into the driveway of Lacey’s house. The porch light is on but there are no lights inside the house. Detective Davis gets out of his car and walks towards the door, he taps on it and it opens up. He reaches for his radio…

Davis: Screw John.

Davis walks into the house. He fumbles around for the light switch and finds it, he flips it on, but the lights don’t come on.

Davis: Convenient.

Davis turns his flashlight on and begins searching through the house.

Davis: Hello! Is anyone here? Hello?

Davis walks towards the couch and shines a light on it. The phone is on the ground. He picks up the phone.

Davis: Hello?

A busy signal blares through the speaker. Davis puts the phone down.

Davis: Is everything ok?

Davis walks towards the staircase. The Halloween Theme begins to play as Davis begins walking up the stairs. He makes it halfway up the stairs and hears a small creak.

Davis: Who is it?

Davis shines the light up towards the top of the staircase. He continues up the staircase shining the light. As he makes it to the last one the music gets louder and out steps The Shape. He has on a white mask and dark coveralls. The knife in his right hand glistens. Davis reaches and pulls his gun out and raises it but before he pulls the trigger The Shape slices his hand and it and the gun plummet down the stairs with sickening thuds. Davis lets out a scream as the knife slices into his stomach. Davis’s body falls lifeless. The Shape turns his head from side to side and then pushes Davis’s body off the knife, Davis’s body falls down the stairs.

Lacey Zunker’s Residence

The daylight is breaking through the darkness as Detective John Hill pulls up to Lacey’s house. There is yellow police tape all across the perimeter and reporters lined up behind the tape. John begins walking through the crowd.

Reporter: Sir, do you have any leads?

Reporter 2: Why haven’t you caught this suspect.

Reporter 3: There are rumors floating that we could have a copycat from the 1978 murders, do you have any information on that?

John pushes through the reporters, he ducks under the tape and nods to fellow officers. John turns around to the reporters.

John: We have no leads at this point, the suspect is still at large, and no we have no evidence to support the rumor that this has anything to do with the Myers case. That is all thank you.

The Reporters blurt out more and more questions as John turns around and walks toward the house. He steps into the house and looks down at a body bag, soaked in blood. Chief Carpenter grabs him on the shoulder and John turns quickly.

Chief Carpenter: Its Davis.

John looks down at the body bag.

John: Same way as the others?

Chief Carpenter: Stab wounds on abdomen, but he put up a fight.

John: How so?

Chief Carpenter: The killer cut his hand off, we found it on the stairs, it was clutching the gun.

John: Any other casualties?

Chief Carpenter: A girl, Lacey Zunker.

John: Age?

Chief Carpenter: 17.

John: Family?

Chief Carpenter: They’re down at the station answering questions. They were out of town, came home early to find Davis down here and her daughter in the bedroom, knife wounds on neck and chest. John we need to figure this out. The media is killing me, they need leads now and we have nothing. Do you know how hard it is, being the Chief of Police in this town and I’m a clueless as they are to who’s doing this. And of course the Myers rumors.

John: Is the other body still upstairs?

Chief Carpenter: Yes.

John: May I see it?

Chief Carpenter: Well, its not going anywhere.

John slowly walks up the blood stained stairs and stops at the top. He walks down the hall and into the opened door. The body of the girl is on the bed. A flashback of the body of the teen from 1978 lying in the exact position flashes. John turns to the man taking pictures.

John: How long before those get developed Kimble?

Kimble: Well, these are the last batch I’ll have them developed in an hour.

John: Great.

John turns around.

John: Chief! Come up here for a second!

Footsteps are heard coming up the stairs. A few seconds later the Chief appears in the room.

Chief Carpenter: Yes, Hill?

John: Look at the way she’s positioned on the bed.

Chief Carpenter: What about it?

John: I was looking at the case file for the 1978 Halloween murders and the body of the girl under the Myers tombstone…

Chief Carpenter: Yes, what about it.

John: Its in the same position as this one!

Chief Carpenter: Could be coincidence.

John: Could be, but what if its not? If we’ve got a copycat on our hands he would have had to see the pictures of the 78 killings. Were they ever put on any websites or newspapers?

Chief Carpenter: I guess they could have been, but none to my knowledge.

John: Kimble will have the pictures developed in an hour, I’ll be at Headquarters then. We need to look at both sets.

Chief Carpenter: Kimble.

Kimble: Yes sir.

Chief Carpenter: Go ahead and leave get those pictures developed as soon as possible. I want those on my desk before I get back to the office.

Kimble takes one more flash and begins to leave.

Kimble: Yes sir.

Chief Carpenter: And Kimble.

Kimble: Yes?

Chief Carpenter: Nothing to the media.

Kimble: Got it sir.

Kimble exits.

Chief Carpenter: I hope you’re wrong about this.

John: I do too sir, I do too.

October 24th, 2005
Haddonfield Police Headquarters

John is standing behind Chief Carpenter who is sitting at his desk. They looking at the two sets of pictures.

Chief Carpenter: The photos from 1978 match these exactly. There is no possible way unless someone had seen them.

John: Or was there.

Chief Carpenter: This is getting out of hand.

An older lady walks into the office.

Suzy: Sorry to bother sir, but the Governor is on the phone.

Chief Carpenter: Oh great.

Chief Carpenter picks up the phone.

Chief Carpenter: Hello sir. Yes its becoming quite the fiasco. We have all of our authorities on the case at the moment. Yes we had another killing this morning, we lost one of our own. Where was his backup? They were responding to other calls sir. Ok… yes… ok we can do that today. Yes I’ll have my secretary alert the media, ok… yes sir we’ll have this wrapped up in no time. Nice talking to you too.

Chief Carpenter hangs the phone up.

Chief Carpenter: Goddamnitt.

John: What?

Chief Carpenter: He is demanding that we have a press conference. He says that the media needs to know what’s going on. He says that we’ve got until October 31st to bring this guy in or the feds are coming.

John: Great.

Chief Carpenter gets on the phone with Suzy. After a brief conversation he hangs up the phone.

Chief Carpenter: We’re going on air in an hour.

John: We’re?

Chief Carpenter: Yes, you and I.

John: But what ever shall I wear?

The two share a very uneasy laugh.

Haddonfield Police Headquarters

Reporters and cameras lead right up to the steps of the police headquarters. There is a podium on the top step and chairs lined up next to the steps. The police officers are sitting in the chairs. The Chief is up at the podium and Detective Hill is in the chair closest to the podium.

Chief Carpenter: As you know the past month there has been a series killings, almost one a day. At this point we have no leads. We have established that the killings have all been done by the same individual. At the moment the deaths have all been young girls between the ages of fifteen and twenty aside from one. The best advice we can give at the moment is if you have a daughter, or even a son between the ages of thirteen and twenty, stay at home with them and keep them locked up safely. As of right now I’m going to bring Detective John up to the podium, he is the head detective of this case. Him and I will gladly answer any questions you may have.

John walks up to the podium as reporters begin raising their hands.

Chief Carpenter: Yes maam.

Donna: I am Donna from the Haddonfield Six o Clock news on channel five. Your advice to keep every teenager inside and to stay home, are you sure that is the best plan? Are you sure the killer won’t attack anyone inside?

Chief Carpenter: Well, we aren’t sure of anything. He is a killer so we don’t know.

Donna: So you know it’s a he?

Chief Carpenter: Well, no, not exactly but we’ve got a pretty good idea.

Donna: So there’s a possibility it’s a she?

Chief Carpenter: Umm… yes sure. Next question.

Chief Carpenter begins looking through the crowd and picks a man.

Chief Carpenter: You sir.

The man gets the microphone.

Ed: Im Ed from the five o clock news on channel twelve. What is your police department doing to keep these murders from being as bad as the ones in 1978.

Chief Carpenter: Well…
John covers the microphone with his hand.

John: Let me take this one Chief.

The Chief backs away.

John: I’m Detective John Hill from the Haddonfield Police Department. Your question is a very easy one to answer. We cant…

The reporters begin to stir and whisper to themselves.

John: The fact of the matter is, the death toll in the past month is up to sixteen. Fifteen teens and one of Haddonfield’s finest. That surpasses the 1978 murders. But murder no matter what is bad. With every death a daughter has been lost, a sister….a friend.

John looks down.

Ed: Well there are rumors floating around that these murder may be tied into the 1978 murders. There is even talk that it could be the doings of Michael Myers.

The crowd grows silent with the name Michael Myers.

John: Ed, rumors… that’s what they are. They will stay rumors until evidence shows otherwise. Those murders were almost thirty years ago. He was burned in a fire, even if he had survived he would not be capable of these murders now. As of right now there is no, I repeat NO connection with the murders of 1978.

Ed: But you haven’t ruled it out.

John: Next question.

Ed: But you haven’t ruled it out.

John: Next question!

The microphone is given to an older lady.

Sylvia: Im Sylvia from the Haddonfield Newspaper. There have been reports of sightings of the infamous white mask worn by Michael Myers through the town the past few weeks. I have a daughter, would you advise us to leave the town until the killer is caught?

John: Sylvia, the mask is the most famous mask in the world and has been since the killings. This is the town where it all happened, of course there is going to be sightings of the mask, of course there are going to be rumors that its him. Its like the Lochness Monster, a million sightings but how many are authentic? The Police Department is focused on bringing this killer to justice. If you see something strange whether it’s a strange person walking down the streets or anything else out of the ordinary, our phone line is open and always has been. Do not be afraid to call. As far as you and your family leaving this town, that is entirely up to you. Before I turn it over to the Chief, I have one thing to say, something to killer if he is by any chance watching. You will not get away with this, you will be caught, you will be tried and you will be put away for a long time. You will have a long time to think about what you’ve done when you’re behind bars. You will eventually slip up and when you do…

The Chief puts his hand over the mic.

Chief Carpenter: Remember the governor is watching.

John gives a way and steps off of the microphone, he walks back to his chair and sits down.

October 29th, 2005
Haddonfield Police Headquarters

John steps into Chief Carpenter’s office.

John: What’s going on Chief.

Chief Carpenter: Well, its been five days since a murder. Maybe he finally realized that it wasn’t worth it. Maybe your talk was worth it.

John: Or maybe he’s waiting for the right time. He knows we were close.

Chief Carpenter: I don’t know John, just seems like everything is taking a turn for the better.

John: I hope you’re right. But I’m not getting too cautious.

Chief Carpenter: Nope we’ll all be out Halloween night waiting.

John: Well I’m still going to see Dr. Loomis tomorrow up on Elm Lake.

Chief Carpenter: Very well.

John: Hey Chief you think you can do me a big favor.

Chief Carpenter: What’s that?

John: Well, I have a baby sister as you know, she’s eighteen. I don’t want to take any chances, do you think we can get a patrol officer up there. Just for the next few nights to make sure everything goes smooth.

Chief Carpenter: Very well, hmmm… how about Montgomery?

John: The rookie?

Chief Carpenter: Yes, it’ll be his first job. There’s nothing to worry about John.

John: Alright.

Chief Carpenter: Montgomery!

The Chief screams the name out loud and in walks a young man in his early twenties. He has black hair and dark blue eyes and a very nice build.

Deputy Montgomery: Yes Chief?

Chief Carpenter: Time to get your feet wet rookie.

Deputy Montgomery: Great.

Chief Carpenter: You’re on patrol duty outside of his family’s house. I want you there for the next couple of nights.

Deputy Montgomery: May I ask why?

John: I’ve got a sister who means everything to the world to me, she’s eighteen, I’m not losing her.

Deputy Montgomery: When sir?

Chief Carpenter: Starting tonight.

Deputy Montgomery: Ok, and during the days?

Chief Carpenter: Won’t be necessary, at this moment the killer only attacks at night.

Deputy Montgomery: Ok sounds great.

John: Hey mom. This is Deputy Jason Montgomery. He’s going to be watching the house for the next couple of nights.

Mr. Hill: I don’t need no goddamn police officer watching my house!

Mrs. Hill: Jeff settle down.

John: Its just for a few nights Dad.

Mrs. Hill: I’m glad that you can come here.

Deputy Montgomery: Thank you maam, you won’t even know that I’m here.

John: Exactly.

Mrs. Hill: John, are you staying for dinner?

John: Sorry mom, I’ve got a road trip tomorrow to see someone, I’m starting early it’s a good six hour drive from here.

Mrs. Hill: I understand, well Jason looks like you can take his place.

Deputy Montgomery: Maam, I’m sorry but…

Mrs. Hill: Oh nonsense, my house if your house… at least for the next few days.

Mr. Hill: You better not piss on the toilet seat.

Mrs. Hill: Jeff!

John: Dad! He’s not living here, he’s just watching over the place. Look I’m going to go, I will see you guys in a day or so.

Mrs. Hill: Ok be careful honey.

John: How’s Syd?
Mrs. Hill: How do you think? She lost her best friend.

John: Yes I know.

Mr. Hill: God Damn psycho running around this town, its got everyone in a frenzy. If I saw that bastard I’d let him have a piece.

Mrs. Hill: Yeah a big piece of bullshit, shut up Jeff.

Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s Residence

Mrs. Hill is shown walking up the stairs.

Mrs. Hill: Honey, dinner is ready.

Mrs. Hill goes to Sydney’s door and knocks on it.

Mrs. Hill: Come on sweetie! We’ve got company. He’s kinda cute.

She whispers at the door. A few seconds later the door opens and a red swollen eyed face peeks through.

Sydney: Ok, I’ll be down in a minute.
She shuts the door and Mrs. Hill smiles.

Mrs. Hill: Finally, my daughter is getting back to normal.

Mrs. Hill walks back down the stairs and into the kitchen Deputy Montgomery and Mr. Hill are already seated. Mr. Hill has begun to eat.

Deputy Montgomery: Are you sure maam? I mean do you have enough food.

Mr. Hill: No.

Mrs. Hill walks over and slaps Mr. Hill on the back of the head.

Mrs. Hill: Of course we do Jason, dig in. My daughter will be down in a few minutes.

Mrs. Hill fixes her a plate and the three begin to eat. A few minutes later Sydney steps into view. She is wearing a black shirt and blue jeans and has a little makeup on to hide her swollen red eyes. Deputy Montgomery’s eyes widen at her beauty and he stands up from his seat. Her eyes sparkle as she looks at him and she gives her first smile in a few days. Mrs. Hill chokes on her food as she realizes the connection.

Mrs. Hill: Goodness excuse me.

Deputy Montgomery: Good evening Ms. Hill.

Sydney smiles.

Sydney: Call me Sydney, good evening…

Sydney looks down at his badge.

Sydney: Deputy Montgomery.

Deputy Montgomery: You can call me Jason.

Mr. Hill: And you can sit down, you’re blocking my light.

Jason: Sorry sir.

Jason sits down almost at the same time Sydney sits down. They all begin to eat silently for a while, but the two keep looking up at each other and smiling.

Sydney: Momma, what’s John?

Mrs. Hill: He’s tired sweetie, he hasn’t gotten much sleep.

Sydney: Oh, yeah I know the feeling.

Sydney’s smile slowly fades.

Jason: So Sydney how do you like your last year of high school?

Sydney: Its ok, I have a lot of friends so its going by rather quickly.

Mr. Hill: If you’d quit drinking.

Mrs. Hill: Jeff!

Sydney: I don’t drink.

Mr. Hill: Oh.

He takes a bite of mash potatoes.

Mr. Hill: That’s John nevermind.

Mrs. Hill elbows him in the ribs.

Mrs. Hill: What did I tell you about talking with your mouth full.

They eat a little more and Mrs. Hill takes the napkin from her lap and throws it on the plate.

Mrs. Hill: Well, I’m stuffed. Jeff you look stuffed as well.

Mr. Hill: Just getting started.

Mrs. Hill elbows him in the ribs again.

Mrs. Hill: Its time for us to go to bed.

Sydney gets up and begins grabbing the dishes.

Mrs. Hill: No honey, I’ll get them in the morning. How about you and Jason go outside for some fresh air.

Sydney: Well…

She looks at Jason for approval.

Jason: I don’t care, either way I’m going back outside.

Sydney: Ok, I’ll keep you company for a while.

The two smile at each other some more. Mr. and Mrs. Hill make their way to their bedrooms as Sydney and Jason walk towards the front door. They step out and onto the porch. The streetlights make the street lights grow faintly. Sydney walks over to a swing on the porch and sits in it. Jason walks around the perimeter of the porch eyeing it.

Sydney: Come here and sit down.

Jason looks around then sits next to Sydney.

Sydney: Sooo how long have you been a police officer?

Jason laughs.

Jason: A month.

Sydney: Oh, I’m sorry I bet my brother is mean to you.

Jason: Haha, not really I’m the brunt of all their jokes though, but I understand I’m the new kid.

Sydney shakes and moves closer to Jason.

Sydney: Its cold out here.

Jason: Well, you want to go back inside, you can Im fine.

Sydney: No…

Sydney nudges against Jason.

Sydney: I’ll be ok right here.

Jason: Sooooo… has your boyfriend been supportive through this?

Sydney: Boyfriend?

Jason: Well, John said…

Sydney: Figures. No, that’s just John being a typical older brother.

Jason: Oh, well I don’t know why you don’t.

Sydney: You’re sweet.

Sydney hits him on his chest softly with the palm of her hand.

Sydney: So what about you? Married?

Jason: Married… girl I’m only 20 I’ve got a few years before that.

Sydney: Get out of here. You look much older.

Jason: It’s the manly physique.

Sydney begins to laugh.

Sydney: Wow, I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time.

Jason: You have a beautiful smile.

Sydney smiles bigger.

Sydney: Thank you.

Sydney and Jason lean in to kiss and Jason pulls back.

Jason: I’m sorry Sydney but I can’t do this, you’re John’s little sister.

Sydney rolls her eyes and slaps her hand on her thigh.

Sydney: Figures.

The camera pans out to across the street and becomes a POV shot of The Shape. Breathing begins as he watches Sydney go back inside. The camera then moves upstairs to Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s room. They’re in bed watching the news.

Mrs. Hill: I think Sydney likes him.

Mr. Hill: Too old.

Mrs. Hill: They like each other. Oh, he can’t be much older than 22.

Mr. Hill: All he wants is sex, it’s a no. Plus he’s John’s friend.

Mrs. Hill: So. Come on you can’t tell me it wasn’t nice seeing Sydney finally smiling again. He brought us our daughter back.

Mr. Hill: Yes it was nice, but no!

The camera moves to Sydney’s room. She is lying in bed looking up at the ceiling. A smile comes across her face.

Sydney: Allie, he’s cute isn’t he? I know you’re watching.

She grabs her pillow and snuggles up next to it.

John: Oh come I drove six hours here!

Secretary: You can come back tomorrow after eleven o clock.

John: Eleven? What kind of place is this? Your visiting hours are for two hours?

Secretary: Sir today is Sunday. Visiting hours are from eight until one. Monday through Friday visiting hours are from eleven until six.

John: You don’t understand I have to talk to him.

Secretary: Then you’ll just have to come back tomorrow.

John slams his hand down on the desk. He turns around walks out. He walks out of the retirement home and pulls out his cell phone, he dials a number.

John: Can I speak with Carpenter, this is John……Hey Chief, this is John. They’re not letting me see him. Visiting hours are over at one. I wish I could have known that. How are things? Any murders? Just sightings, yes that figures. No sightings around my folks place though right? Good. Well I’m going to call my parents and make sure everything is okay, I think I might just stay the night up here so I don’t have to worry about driving back and then coming back up here in the morning. Alright Chief call me if anything changes.

John hangs up the phone and then dials another number.

John: Hey Dad, is mom home? She went out shopping… for what? How was everything last night? Good… I’m glad that Deputy Montgomery is working out well. Well just tell mother that I’m going to stay the night I couldn’t get in to see who I wanted to see. I’ll be home tomorrow some time. Hows Syd? Well, that’s good… ok well you guys be careful and keep a good lookout. Deputy Montgomery will be back at sundown. Bye, tell mom I said I loved her.

John hangs up the phone and walks to his car, he drives off.

Motel 6 Outside of Elm Lake

John is shown sitting on the bed looking down at the files on Myers once more. He thumbs through page after page. He leans over and grabs a Budweiser, he takes a big drink of it, crushes it and throws it towards the trash can, but it lands just before it.

John: Ah damn.

John gets up and throws it away.

October 30th, 2005
Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s residence

The sounds of crickets chirping pierce the silence and the street lights give some light to the dark moonless night. Sydney and Jason are shown sitting on the swing, they are laughing and tickling each other. Jason looks down at his watch.

Jason: It’s late, you need to get off to bed.

Sydney: What, now I’m too young for you.

Jason: Huh?

Sydney: Nevermind. I am tired though.

Jason gets up and grabs Sydney’s hands. He helps her up and they stare at each other for a while. Jason leans down and gives her a kiss on the cheek.

Jason: Goodnight.

He begins walking off the porch steps and almost trips.

Jason: I’ll be right here if you need anything.

Sydney covers her mouth to cover the laughter of him almost tripping.

Sydney: Ok, I’ll leave my window open so you can hear me if I need something.

Jason: I got you covered.

Sydney walks into the house and the camera follows her into her bedroom. She turns her back to the camera as she takes her shirt off and her bra. She then puts on pajamas whilst while turned with her back to the camera. She climbs into bed and her eyes begin to close when the wind picks up and the shudder slams against the window. Her eyes open and she gets out of bed. She walks over to the window to shut it. She looks down into the front lawn and The Shape is seen standing there. The street lights reflect off of his white mask. She lets out a blood curdling scream. The camera cuts to Deputy Montgomery who has dozed off. His eyes open and he grabs his gun. He gets out of the car just as The Shape disappears into the darkness of the bushes next door. The camera cuts to Mr. and Mrs. Hill running into Sydney’s room. Sydney is in the corner and is shaking.

Mrs. Hill: Honey, what’s wrong?

Sydney looks up as tears fill her eyes.

Sydney: Him.

Mrs. Hill: Who?

Sydney: The killer.

Deputy Montgomery bursts through the door and Mr. and Mrs. Hill jump.

Mr. Hill: Son of a bitch you scared me.

Jason: What happened?

Mrs. Hill: Syd saw the killer in her window.

Jason: Are you sure, Syd?

Syd begins to get up.

Sydney: I think so, he was standing right there on the front lawn.

Jason: Well, I didn’t see anyone, are you sure he was standing on the lawn?

Sydney: Yes, no, I dunno. I went to close my window because my shudders were banging against the window and I saw him.

Jason pulls out a phone.

Jason: That’s it I’m calling the Chief.

Sydney grabs the phone.

Sydney: No, wait. I’m not even sure if I saw anything. I think its just all this stress. I’ll be okay.

Jason: Look, I’m going down there to look around if I see anything out of the ordinary I’m calling the Chief and John. Mr. Hill do you mind coming with me?

Mr. Hill: Hey that’s your job.

Mrs. Hill: We’ll wait on the porch with you Jason. Sydney stay up here.

The three walk down the stairs and onto the porch. Jason turns his flashlight on and walks out into the yard. He flashes around the yard and then walks towards the bushes where The Shape disappeared. He flashes the lights around and sees nothing. He takes a deep relieving breath and then a twig snaps. Jason puts his hand on his gun and leans closer into the bushes. He takes another step and a cat runs out of the bushes and into the darkness. Jason pulls his gun and then begins to laugh.

Mrs. Hill: Is everything okay?

Jason: Yes, just a cat over here.

Mr. Hill: Hurry, its cold.

Jason shines a little more and turns around to head back up towards the house, The Shape steps into the light and watches Jason as he walks back towards the house.

Jason: I looked all around and there are no signs of anything.

Mrs. Hill: Yeah just sounds like a tired girl to me.

Jason: You want me to call the Chief or Detective Hill?

Mrs. Hill: That won’t be necessary. We’ll just go inside, you can come inside if you’d like.

Jason: No, I’ll keep a lookout in my car.

Mr. Hill: Ok now can we go back to sleep.

Mr. and Mrs. Hill go back inside the house and Jason heads back towards his squad car. The Shape’s breathing is heard as he watches them.

Halloween Day
Elm Lake Retirement Home

John walks up to the receptionist desk and it’s the same lady.

Secretary: Hello sir, can I help you.

John: Dr. Sam Loomis.

Secretary: Oh yes Detective Hill right?

She looks down at her papers.

John: Yes I was here yesterday.

Secretary: Oh, ok. Well fill this out and Mr. Majors will be here to escort you to his room.

John looks down a sign in sheet he signs the paper. He hands the paper to the Secretary.

Secretary: Very well.

The Secretary pushes a button on her phone.

Secretary: A Detective John Hill is here to see Dr. Sam Loomis.

The Secretary smiles at John.

Secretary: He’ll be with you in one moment.

John gives a half smile back.

A man with a beard walks out into the waiting room.

Mr. Major: I’m Fred Majors.

John: Detective John Hill.

They shake hands.
Mr. Major: I’m going to have to ask what is in your briefcase.

John looks down at his briefcase.

John: Just papers from a case.

Mr. Major: Mind opening it?

John: Not at all.

John puts the briefcase on the desk and opens it. Mr. Major thumbs through the papers.

Mr. Major: Okay, looks good lets go.

John begins walking down the hall with Mr. Major. The elderly make weird noises at him and touch him.

Mr. Major: This Dr. Loomis is a wacky one he is.

John: Oh yeah.

Mr. Major: Yes he’s the Doctor from the seventies that helped kill that killer Michael Myers.

John: Yes, I know.

Mr. Major: He’s quite famous in your part, you’re from Haddonfield right.

John: Yes.

Mr. Major: That’s where I saw you, you were on television. Those murders have been crazy. You guys still don’t have any leads?

John: No, but the killings have stopped for now.

Mr. Major: I hope you’re not planning on asking Dr. Loomis for help, ever since he heard about them he has been screaming the Evil walks again. He is one crazy man.

John takes a deep breath.

Mr. Major: Ok here we are.

The two stop and Mr. Major points at a half open door.

Mr. Major: Good luck Detective. He doesn’t say a whole lot.

John: Thanks.

Mr. Major: Call me if you need me, I’ll be right down the hall.

John: Got it.

John walks to the door and takes a deep breath. He opens it softly and sees a man turned to the window.

Dr. Loomis: Go ahead… sit down.

John’s eyes widen. He takes a seat in a chair that is right near the door. Dr. Loomis turns around. He has a white beard and bags under his eyes as if he hadn’t slept for years. His skin is very loose and his breathing is loud.

John: Hello Doctor, I’m Detective John Hill…from the Haddonfield Police…

Dr. Loomis: I know who you are. I saw you on the television. He’s back, isn’t he.

John: Well, we have no leads saying that it is tied with the murders but I have a few pictures that I would like to show you.

John opens the briefcase and pulls out the pictures of Annie and Lacey. Dr. Loomis puts his glasses on his face and takes the pictures from John. His breathing begins to get harder.

Dr. Loomis: No copycat Detective. Michael’s back.

John: With all due respect doctor anyone could have done this.

Dr. Loomis: How many have been killed Detective?

John: Well…

Dr. Loomis: How many!

John: Sixteen, including one officer.

Dr. Loomis: Yes, detective, you’re dealing with no copycat, you’ve got the real thing.

Dr. Loomis continues to look at the photos.

John: The killings have stopped though, we think the killer might have moved on.

Dr. Loomis: Moved on? Moved on?! He sat in a sanitarium for 15 years Detective. I watched him, he waited to get out. He waited for a chance to kill once more. But he never moves on. You see, whenever Michael sees someone or something he wants, he won’t stop until he gets it. He’s got a force, a rage inside him.

John: Well, lets say you’re right, how do I stop him?

Dr. Loomis: I don’t know if you can.

John: Well, we’ve got enough ammo to kill a thousand men.

Dr. Loomis: This isn’t a man, Detective. His eyes… they aren’t human. He doesn’t grow old like a man… he doesn’t feel remorse like a man… he doesn’t die like a man.

Dr. Loomis gets up and uses his cane to limp over to his dresser, he pulls the drawer open and lifts up a paper. He walks back over to John and gives him the paper. It’s a drawn picture of Michael Myers, in his mask, with dark black eyes.

Dr. Loomis: You see, John… once the face, the eyes…see you, you’re done for. There’s no saving you.

John peers into the face of the sketch. He looks deep into the eyes and his sister’s face pops into his mind.

John: Doctor, my sister… she says she saw the killer.

Dr. Loomis: How old is your sister?

John: Eighteen.

Dr. Loomis stands up in his chair and points out the window with his cane.

Dr. Loomis: You must go to her Detective. Drive, drive as fast as you can. He will come for her tonight, Detective. If you get there before he arrives you stand a chance, if not, she stands no chance at all.

John’s heart begins to pound. He gets up.

John: Thank you Doctor.

He begins to walk out of the room.

Dr. Loomis: Detective.

John turns.

John: Yes.

Dr. Loomis: Be prepared to stare evil in the eyes.

John runs out of the room and down the hall past Mr. Majors and out of the building. He jumps in his car and picks up his cell phone he dials.

John: The police station… busy?

Halloween Day

Mrs. Hill: That’s weird.

Mr. Hill: What?

Mrs. Hill: The phone line is dead.

Mr. Hill: Hmm…

Mr. Hill picks the phone up and silence sounds from the other line.

Mr. Hill: What the hell.

Mr. Hill walks over to the television and there is a special bulletin that the main phone line source has been cut and no word on when it’ll be fixed.

Mr. Hill: Honey, this is a city wide thing.

Mrs. Hill: Oh really?

Mr. Hill: Yes. That’s baloney.

Mrs. Hill: What if John tries to call?

Mr. Hill: I’m sure he’ll be alright.

Mrs. Hill: But what if we’re not here when he gets back?

Mr. Hill: Settle down, he knows we attend the costume party every year. Plus Deputy Droopalong will be here. We’ll take our cell phone.

Mrs. Hill: Honey, we got rid of it remember?
Mr. Hill: Oh yeah, we don’t need that damn thing anyway. We’ve still got a few hours, he’ll be here.

He hangs up the phone.

Deputy Montgomery: Sir, Detective Hill hasn’t come back. Would you like me to still survey his parent’s house?

John: Hurry please.

Eddy: Well, I dunno sir. This is a stumper.

Eddy begins to scratch his head.

John: Well please try… mind if I use your phone?

Eddy: Nope, go ahead its right in there.

John walks into the shop and goes behind the desk. He picks up the phone and dials the number… a busy signal is heard and he slams the phone down. He walks back outside. Eddy begins siphoning out the gas from the gas tank. A deep red color begins coming out of the other side of the hose.

Eddy: Ahah!

John walks over to the hose.

Eddy: I found your problem. Looks like somebody didn’t want you to leave Haddonfield, they mixed your gas with some type of red substance.

John clenches his fists.

John: Fuck.

Eddy: Girlfriend problems?

John: If somebody would have wanted me there they would have mixed more to where I couldn’t leave. They only mixed enough so that it would hurt me later.

Eddy: Well, whoever it was they used a very good substance. Its not to runny and its not too thick. Infact, it looks like its got a lot in common with pigs blood.

John bends down and runs his hand over the liquid.

John: Or human blood. Look how long will it take to fix?

Eddy: Syphon this out… there may be some damage with the engine. I’ll check, an hour tops.

John: Forty-Five minutes.

Eddy: An hour.

John: Forty-Five Minutes.

John glares into the man’s eyes.

Eddy: I’ll see what I can do.

Mrs. Hill: As far as I know, atleast until your brother gets back. Hmmm that’s funny.

Sydney: What?

Mrs. Hill: It just goes straight to voice mail.

Sydney: Maybe he’s in a dead spot.

Mrs. Hill: Could be.

Sydney: Mother you make an awesome Beauty.

Jason: Not as beautiful as you.

Sydney: Awww.

Sydney takes the dish towel and slaps it across Jason’s butt. She then runs out of the kitchen and he follows her with the pumpkin. He pretends like he’s going to throw the pumpkin at her.

Jason: I’m too nice.

Sydney opens the front door.

Sydney: Wow, its dark now.

She flicks on the porch light. They walk out on the porch and set the jack o lantern down. They set the candle in it.

Sydney: Hold on, let me go get a lighter.

The show cuts to the POV by the backyard window. The Shape watches Sydney get a lighter and run out of view. It cuts back.

Sydney: Ok, I’m back.

They light the candle and the Jack o lantern begins to glow. Sydney smiles and the both go back inside. Sydney jumps over the back of the couch and Jason walks around and sits down next to her.

Jason: Your brother should be home any minute.

Sydney leans in and kisses Jason on the lips.

Sydney: Yeah.

They begin to kiss, when a loud sound and footsteps come from the porch.

Sydney: Speak of the devil.

Sydney gets up and runs over to the door. She unlocks the door and opens it up.

Sydney: John?

She leans out of the door.

Sydney: Shit.

Jason comes running to her side.

Jason: What?

Sydney: Look, at the Jack o Lantern.

The pumpkin was stepped on and smushed.

Jason: Damn kids and their pranks.

Sydney: Yep, you should arrest them.

She smiles and they both go back inside, unaware that The Shape is standing a few feet away in the darkness right by the porch. The camera follows The Shape as he walks over towards the back of the house. He takes wires in his hand and pulls them out, the lights inside the house go out. The screen goes black and then a candle is shown burning, Sydney and Jason’s faces brighten as more candles are lighted. Finally the living room lights up from the candles.

Jason: What the hell is going on?

Sydney: I don’t know.

Jason walks over to the phone and picks it up.

Jason: It’s dead.

Jason grabs his coat and begins to walk towards the door, Sydney grabs him.

Sydney: Can’t we just wait here… my brother will be home any minute.

Jason: My phone and radio is in the car its just outside there.

Sydney: Please I’ve got an uneasy feeling about this.

Jason: Okay, five minutes but any more strange occurances and we’re leaving.

Sydney: Ok.

Jason walks over to the front door and double checks to make sure everything is locked, he walks back into the living room.

Halloween Night
Haddonfield Police Headquarters

Chief Carpenter is shown sitting at his desk talking on the phone.

Chief Carpenter: Yes, Governor everything is going great. Not another killing in a few days and tonight has gone off with no problem. Of course most of the trick or treaters are in now, since people are still a little afraid. But I think everything is good. We had a small problem with our phones earlier… someone had snuck into our main source and cut the line. Its fixed now… yes damn kids and their pranks. I’ll tell you I’d throw them all in jail if I could. Alright, well talk with you later.

Chief Carpenter breathes a sigh of relief.

Halloween Night
Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s Residence

John comes to a stop outside of his parent’s house. He gets out of the car and breathes a sigh of relief when he sees Deputy Montgomery’s car parked outside. He walks over to the car and he’s not in there. He looks down and notices that the tires had been slashed. He looks towards the house and sees that there are no lights on. The Halloween Theme begins to play as he runs through the yard and to the porch. He turns his flashlight on before he gets to the porch and out steps The Shape. The Shape lunges towards John and grabs him, knocking the flashlight and knife to the ground. John falls to the ground and scrambles over to the flashlight. He picks it up as The Shape closes the distance. John lunges towards The Shape and hits him with the flashlight. The Shape falls to one knee. John swings again and hits The Shape in the mask. The Shape grabs John by the throat and fights to get back to his feet. John slams the flashlight onto The Shape’s mask again and The Shape lets go of John’s neck and falls to the ground. John runs to the door and begins banging on it.

John: Let me in! Sydney are you in there.

John turns around as The Shape sits up and turns towards John. He starts to make it to his feet. John begins looking for his keys and then realizes they are in his car. The Shape picks up his knife

John: Sydney.

The Shape begins to gain ground as he steps on the first step of the porch. He makes it up the porch as the door flings open and John runs into the house. The camera cuts to inside the house. Sydney and Jason are holding candles. John locks the door. He turns to Sydney.

John: I want you up the stairs and in a hiding spot. I don’t care where just make sure the door is locked.

Sydney: Wait what is going on?

Sydney begins to cry.
Sydney: Its him isn’t it, I knew it was…

John grabs Sydney by the shoulders.

John: Settle down.

Jason goes to the door.

Jason: I can get to my radio, or we can make a mad dash out of here.

John: Deputy Montgomery, that is out of the question.

Jason: We can’t be trapped in this house we have to leave.

Jason begins to freak out. John grabs him by arm and pulls him over to the window, he opens the shades.

John: Right there… Michael Myers is outside our house.

John points to The Shape, who is slashing John’s tires now. Sydney peaks and lets out a scream… John and Jason both jump.

John: Sydney upstairs now!

Sydney: He killed Allison, now he’s going to kill me.

John: No he won’t, move.

Sydney runs up the stairs.

John: Ok, Jason this what we’re going to do. We can’t leave, so we’re going to have to make sure he can’t get in here.

Jason: Someone is bound to see us, him… something!

John pulls his gun out and check the bullets, he spins the barrel.

John: How many do you have?

Jason: Six.

John: Okay, save them I have a feeling you’ll need them.

Jason: If he comes in, I won’t miss.

John: It may not matter, even if you hit him. There’s a shotgun under my parent’s bed, Im going to get that, you make sure every window is shut and locked and every door. Secure the perimeter, I’ll be right back.

John runs up the stairs as Jason begins to shake. He peaks outside the window and The Shape is no where to be seen. Jason begins checking all the windows and secures the whole bottom story.

Jason: Where are you motherfucker.

John is shown with the shotgun, he walks into Sydney’s room.

John: Syd, its me, John.

Sydney comes out of the closet. John throws her his handgun.

John: Remember when I taught you how to shoot it?

Sydney nods.

John: You may need it.

Sydney nods.

John: Go back in the closet.

Sydney ducks back into the closet.

John runs down the stairs with the shotgun. Jason is pacing frantically with his gun in his hand.

John: Deputy Montgomery.

Jason: Call me Jason.

John: Alright Jason, if you help keep my sister alive I will owe you forever.

Jason: No problem.

John: Where is he?

Jason: No idea, I secured the windows though.

John: Ok.

Jason walks over to the front window and puts his gun on the drape, he pushes it aside.
Jason: I see nothing but darkness.

The Shape’s hand comes through the window. Jason takes a step back as The Shape tries to force himself inside of the house. Jason begins to shoot The Shape. The Shape falls backwards and lands with a loud thud.

John: Fuckin hell.

Jason: I got him. I unloaded on him.

Jason turns to John and smiles.

John: Watch out.

The Shape comes through the window and sticks his knife into the shoulder of Jason. Jason lets out a scream. John aims the shotgun, but The Shape pulls the knife out and throws it at John, it sticks into his leg. John winces in pain. He steadies the shotgun and aims it. Before he can fire The Shape grabs the gun away. He throws it across the room and it breaks in half from the force. John limps away from The Shape and into the kitchen. Its dark, and since he knows his way around the kitchen he finds the butcher knife. He removes it from the holder and hurries under the table. John hears the Shape’s footsteps as he walks into the kitchen tile floor. John listens as the footsteps draw closer, they then stop. John squints into the darkness looking for any sign of The Shape. The waiting turns longer and longer with silence, but John can still feel the presence of someone else in the room. Suddenly the kitchen table flies up and John catches a vague outline of The Shape. He lunges and plunges the knife into The Shape’s chest. He pushes off The Shape and limps towards the living room again. The Shape follows closely, they come back into the candle light and The Shape pulls the knife from his chest. He throws it across the room and it stabs John in the back. John falls down. The Shape walks over to John and yanks the knife out of his back. He slowly makes his way up the stairs.

Halloween Night
Haddonfield Police Headquarters

An officer walks into the Chief’s office.

Officer: There was a multiple sighting of him.

Chief: Who?

Officer: The killer… the Myers mask. Made by six people all on the same block all different houses.

Chief: Why the hell didn’t they call sooner?

Officer: They said the phones were acting weird.

Chief: Ok.

Officer: It’s the same block Hill’s family lives on.

The Chief stands up.

Chief: Reroute multiple units to the block and search it thoroughly. I’ll call the Hills, see what’s going on.

The Chief picks up the phone.

Halloween Night
Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s Residence

Sydney sits in the closet, her heart pounding, and tears coming from her eyes. She’s unsure if the silence is a good thing or not. Her door flies open and she jumps. Her first thought is to fling open the door so she stands up and puts her hand on the door, but she stops. She realizes that it could be the killer. She slowly opens the door and to her horror she sees the killer looking around her room. She goes to shut the closet door and it creaks… the killer looks over as she shuts the door. She lets out a scream and backs up against the back of the walk in closet. She holds the gun up, hands shaking.

Sydney: Leave me the fuck alone!

Silence streams through the room as her ears start pounding. She waits, but nothing happens. She lets the gun down when suddenly the door flings open. He stands in the doorway, white mask illuminated by the faint light pouring in her window from the streetlight across the street. He takes a step forward and she shoots, it goes over his head. He continues towards her and picks his knife up, which is stained red with her brother’s blood. She closes her eyes and pulls the trigger, not once, not twice, but three times.

Halloween Night
Haddonfield Police Headquarters

The Chief frantically dials numbers on the phone.

Chief Carpenter: What the hell is going on?

He tries a number.
Chief Carpenter: Its dead.

He picks up his radio.

Chief Carpenter: Authorities proceed to the Hill’s house on the 200 block of Kreuger Road.

Halloween Night
Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s Residence

Sydney opens her eyes. In the doorway, The Shape lays lifeless. She drops the gun and tiptoes to the body. She looks down at the knife, his hand is unclenched on it. She waits for enough courage to step over the body. She steps over the body with her left foot, as she brings her right foot over and turns to the run, The Shape clenches his hand around the knife and swings cutting Sydney in her right calf. She falls down on her hands and knees screaming. The Shape makes it to his feet as she scrambles out of the room. She runs down the stairs and into the living room. She goes over to her brother who is now laying on the couch. She checks his pulse, its faint but its there. She looks over at Jason, but before she can move a wraps around her throat. She screams and begins flailing her arms and legs, she knocks all of the candles down on the floor next to the couch and the ones on the table. The room begins to catch fire. Her flailing begins to get weaker as The Shape’s grip gets stronger. Her eyes start to flutter… they begin to close, the hand releases suddenly. Sydney begins to choke uncontrollably. She looks behind her and Jason has jumped on The Shape’s back. As The Shape reaches back to knock Jason off he drops the knife. Sydney jumps up and grabs the knife, she plunges it into the black heart of The Shape. The Shape throws Jason against the wall next to the staircase. He falls down face first causing the knife to slide all the way through him. Sydney scrambles to Jason’s side and begins crying.

Sydney: Is he dead?

Jason: You stuck the knife right into his heart, he can’t still be alive. He’s dead.

Jason hugs Sydney.

Jason: It’s going to be alright.

They look up and The Shape has made it to his feet once again, he pulls the knife out from deep inside his chest. He slowly begins to walk their way.

Sydney: Noooooooo, Help!

The Shape stops right over the two helpless victims. He raises the knife again. Sydney closes her eyes and accepts her fate, Jason slips out of consciousness. Before the knife drops down, John grabs The Shape’s other hand and handcuffs it to the metal railing of the staircase. The Shape turns around as John begins beating him in the head with his flashlight. The Shape plunges the knife into John’s stomach. John lets out a groan but continues to bash The Shape’s head in.

John: Run Sydney!

Sydney: John, I can’t leave you.

John: Go Sydney, take Jason and run!

He continues to bash The Shape in the head.

Sydney: I can’t leave you.

Sydney begins to cry as the roof begins to cave in from the fire.

Jason slips back into consciousness and looks up at John beating The Shape’s head in.

John: Jason get her out of here, now! Go!

Jason slowly makes it to his feet, and begins wobbling. Sydney gets up and Jason grabs her hand, he begins pulling her towards the front door.

Sydney: Nooooo I can’t leave John!

She fights, but Jason overpowers her and sends her out of the door, sirens begin to come from the down the street. The camera goes back to John and The Shape. John stops beating The Shape after The Shape stops moving. John falls backwards and lands on the bottom three stairs. He looks down at the blood pouring from his wound and the house fixing to go up in flames. The Shape looks up at John.

John: I beat you Michael. You won’t get her Michael.

John looks deep into the black eyes of The Shape. The camera pans to the outside as firetrucks and police car sirens blare and light the dark sky up. A crowd gathers as firefighters begin to walk up the lawn, before they hit the porch… the roof caves in and the whole house crashes down.

Sydney: Noooooo! John!!!!!

Sydney makes a mad dash towards the house but Jason catches her.

Jason: He’s gone Syd, he’s gone.

She falls down to her knees and begins to cry.

November 1st, 2005
Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s Residence

Sydney is shown with a fireman’s jacket on and her parents with her. They are sitting outside the wreckage. The cops and firefighters have begun sorting through the ruble. Jason walks over to the Chief who is right on top of the wreckage.

Chief Carpenter: Seven hours now we’ve sorted through the wreckage, we found the remains of John… but we can’t find the killer.

Jason: That can’t be, he was handcuffed to the staircase!

Chief Carpenter: We’ll keep looking.

Jason walks over to the Hill family who are all huddled together.

Jason: They found John’s remains.

The family begins to sob.

Sydney: And… the killer?

Jason looks down at the ground.

Jason: Not yet.

Sydney’s sobs get worse as she screams at the top of her lungs.

Sydney: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The Halloween score begins and breathing from two houses behind the wreckage begins as it goes to a black background and the credits roll.

I only looked at a little bit of the beginning, I think this should be an H9, not an H3.

HAHA yeah I know this was about 3 years ago and I didn't know what to name people and since it was a fan fiction I might as well pay homage you know.

Yeah, it's cool.

But I think the Halloween franchise is notorious for naming characters after its film makers.

I didnt get too far. Why'd you call it H3? It should be H9. It seems more realistic as an H9. :)
