Shouldn't they make a combo version of the first 2 Halloween Movies and put them in the theaters in late Sept. 05'?

I know the thing would be like 3 hours long, but look at Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc.

It would cost little and I'm pretty sure it would bank well.

Let me know your thoughts...

Let me know your thoughts... Are you talking about a remake type of thing? I thought about that when I was a kid... but...
I would obviously LOVE to see any old school Hallween movie in the theatres, and let alone two.

I'm talkin' the same first two films, but just spliced together with the same flow of soundtrack throughout.

Or, even a slight intermission inbetween the two, with a lil' documentary, say 10-15 min. long about H1 and H2.

Id see it.
But I would want no commentary between. Just show the two movies back to back!!!

That would be a brilliant idea! Maybe cut them together and release into the cinemas. Like a re-release! I would love to see that!

i'm not sure they would do it, but if they ever did i'm sure i would be in line on opening night. i'd especially like to see the first three on the big screen, since they are the ones that i wasn't able to see at the theater when they came out.

Do you think they could get a PG-13 rating out of it nowdays?

Expand the audience a lil' maybe...

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY this weekend, END!

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY this weekend, Slasher!

Nah there's enough suggested violence in the original, and enough gore in H2 to keep it at R. I wouldn't want them to edit out those parts either. To get a lower rating. The kiddies would just have to get their mommies and daddies to bring 'em. ;)

I would definately see those in the theater if they re-released them tho. Reguardless if they're spliced together or not. Just as long as they were completely uncut, and shown in their original theatrical release formats.

If you cut the first scene of h2 where they recap from h1, the movies pretty much flow together like one long movie. That would be awsome.

I'd love this. Even if they just re-released Halloween, I'd be happy. I still have to see my first Halloween on the big screen.

I was going through old news articles yesterday and I foudn one that had Debra and John were planning for a re-release of Halloween. But they planned for it to come out the same year was Resurrection or something. Who knows. I'd just love to see it on the big screen.

Yeah, why the hell not!!! Every Halloween(the holiday) $$$ are generated through haunted houses, candy, costumes, etc...

I know I made some video stores rich every Halloween until I wised up and bought my own copy.

If I owned a theater I'd go to the bank laughing every friggin' Halloween because I'd somehow show the films.

We need to have a pow-wow with Mr. Akkad...

I would love to see it on the big screen. The first movie and the second as one long night HE came home! That would be sweet! I've only seen Resurrestion in cinemas so i haven't been blessed yet of seeing anymore in the cinema!:(

It's a great idea but will never happen. Two different companies own those films. You have Trancas that now owns the original and Universal who owns Part 2. This is the main reason you have never seen a complete box set here in the U.S. -Clark

I was going to point this out, but though, why reign on the parade? lol. Even if Trancas owned halloween II I could never see this happening. The original halloween would have a 100 mile long shot of getting a theatrical run, but H1/H2 combo getting a nation wide theatrical run? Yeah right.

You would also have to cut the opening credits of H2 and the end credits of H1 for it not to look goofy. Now we're talking about altering the films and I'm sure there would be some legal hooplah that would follow.

This fantasy land suggestion may come true at a horror convention someday, but other than that. Not a chance.

What I would like to see is the television and theatrical versions of the first Halloween combined.

I think it would be awesome to re-release Halloween between Halloween 9 and Halloween 10...since production takes such a long time

I'll go ya one better. George Lucas proved you can do it with first the anniversary theatrical releases of the first three Star Wars films and then the further permutations he's done on the DVD release.

Combine the theatrical and television versions of Halloween 1, as well as Halloween 2 into one long film. Release it on DVD if you want (we're all dumb enough to pony up the $30.00 and change to buy it), but I'd love to see it in theatres. Using the latest in SFX technology, tidy up the score, the picture, and the scenes. make 'em gorier, longer, shorter, whatever.

That's what I wanna see: theatrical Halloween, TV Halloween, and Halloween 2 in one major film.

I dont see why they dont at least re-release the first one.

so far...

The Exorcist, Alien, Scarface, The Godfather...

all classics have been rereleased.

so why the hell not..

the fanbase is there.

and i know a bunch of young punks that need to experience this film in the theatres...

much like the star wars trilogy was shown again for the enjoyment of the fans and these young snot nosed kids.
even if they were new versions.

I'd see it with no commentary. Just straight up back to back H1 and H2. That would kick MAJOR ass.
