I loved these guys since the first time I saw the shorts "Peace, Love And Understanding" and "Frog Baseball" on MTV's Liquid Television. A few years ago, when I used to get my hair permed as well as dyed blonde(now I just dye it), it was poofy and EVERYONE told me that I looked JUST LIKE Beavis.

So, discuss at length the stupidity and genius of the Dumb-Duo.

My favorite character other than B & BH is Mr. Buzzcut. I especially love his speech in the "No Laughing" episode about Sex Ed, as well as his infamous "Kick Me In The Jimmy!"

And, if it weren't for Beavis And ButtHead, White Zombie wouldn't have gained as much notoriety or been as popular. Because it wasn't until "Thunderkiss '69" aired and the boys commented on how cool it was that White Zombie really took off.

I have 14 DVD's of B & BH. The 6 OFFICIAL Time-Life "Best Of" releases, the Unreleased (yet still available on eBay) "History Of Beavis And ButtHead" 2 disc set from MTV and Paramount, Beavis And ButtHead Do America(the movie) and 5 Bootleg DVD's with episodes not available on any of the *OFFICIAL* releases. I also have The Beavis And ButtHead Experience CD along with the soundtrack of Beavis And ButtHead Do America.

So, what do you remember/love/hate about this classic of "crappy animation"? What do you have in your collection?

I love this show, I can sound exactly like Butthead and my friend sounds just like Beavis so it is very funny in school when we go on like them.

I had thoughts tonight of the episode where Beavis and Butthead see Ben Franklin on TV and immitate him outside during a storm with a kite and a key.

Come one people, lets talk classic TV here! Chuck D, I know you'll agree that we need Beavis and Butthead discussion on a daily basis.

They really need to release seasons on DVD already. Maybe I should just cave in and buy the best of's but Bea 'n Butt are not on TV anymore. I miss them.

i dont really have anything besides the Time Life dvds and a script for "beavis and butthead: do america" along with that dvd.
the script is awesome because its got flipbook animations on the edges of the pages for dull moments.

ive always been a fan, ever since i was told not to watch it, i think.

Ahhh... Beavis & Butt-Head. :)

Kudos for starting this thread, #1FreddyFan by the way... it was only a matter of time. Anyways, these guys got me through primary (elementary) and secondary (high) school. I cant thank Mike Judge enough for bringing these two pop culture icons to us. Without sounding like a know-it-all or anything, I have quite an extensive collection; ranging from old T-shirts I wore when I was around 8, books, posters, toys, all the DVD's and VHS tapes (see below) plus many more.

Of the top of my head;
Do Christmas
Hard Cash
Butt-o-Ween
History Of Beavis Parts I, II & III
Self Improvement
Too Dumb For TV
There Goes The Neighbour Hood
The Final Judgement
Work Sucks
Troubled Youth
Law-Abiding citizens
Chick's & Stuff
Feel Our Pain
Innocense lost
To the rescue
Star Pupils (no butchering if I missed out a title, please)

I've seen every episode, so it seems mandatory to list my top 10 moments;

1 : EPISODE 7.40 "Beavis And Butt-Head Are Dead" - The scene were B&B confront McVicker (who thought they were dead) and as Butt-Head tries to take the money collected in their names, McVicker has a breakdown showing excellent scenes from the series with them going "BREAKING THE LAW"
2 : EPISODE 7.28 "Shopping Cart" - They attempt to get some money by getting run over by cars in the Mall Car Park while in shoppin carts and gettin bribes not to contact the driver's insurance. Anyway, they both get in a shopping cart and get hooked onto Anderson's trailer... after gettin dragged for miles; they're broken loose and slammed into a tree!
3 : EPISODE 6.02 "Bungholio - Lord Of The Harvast" - In this Halloween special; Butt-Head is left out in those creepy woods alone because of Todd. This scary slasher movie type music comes in and Butt-Head just goes Uh, uh oh as that scary farmer gets him.
4 : EPISODE 0.01 "Frog Baseball" - You have to appreciate this one! Best part is Beavis getting his skull caved in with a baseball bat!
5 : EPISODE 1.02 "Door-to-door" - When they enter Mistress Cora's house! Once again boys... who do you serve?
6 : EPISODE 7.32 "Work Is Death" - The slow motion ass-kickin unleashed upon Beavis!
7 : EPISODE 2.21 "No Laughing" - Buzzcut attemptin to make Butt-Head laugh!
8 : EPISODE 7.10 "Cyber-Butt" - B&B forcing Stewart to download illegal porn! WOAH! Come to Butt-Head StewartOH MY GOD!
9 : EPISODE 7.39 "Our Founding Losers" - All the great American patriots; B&B style! Beavis as Rambo fightin communists and Butt-Head as the village messenger!
10 : EPISODE 5.38 "Tired" - VanDriessen getting squashed and just the sounds Butt-Head makes as he runs!

These arent in any particular order but I could name endless other funny moments...

Well said on Buzzcut as a good supporting character... I always thought Stewart was put to good use; I loved seeing him get victimized. Tom Anderson was also played a nice part but he's practically Hank Hill (not that that's a bad thing, I love King Of The Hill).

I also posted somewhere on here on who was the best duo and suprise, suprise... the almighty dumbasses took the honour. As for who's better; the ever-reliable #1FreddyFan asked me previously in his Everything About YOU thread and unsuprisingly the superior Butt-Head is the answer. I didnt quote him... I was him. They have changed my outlook on life, huh huh huh

I'll end with this;

Beavis & Butt-Head = Greatest cartoon ever

I love this show. My favorite show ever. Do they sell episodes in stores or only on time life.com?

Oh boy. I hated south park, was never a simpsons fan, never cared for cartoons in general after elementary school. However, I'll admit, I loved this damn show.

I remember being a little kid trying to stay up till like 3:00 am, when they moved it to that ludacrous time slot. The crude humor never really got me laughing, instead it was the little things in the show that would have me rolling.

One of the greatest shows of all time. Tied for my favorite.

There were actually 2 guys in my high school that, normally, acted and sounded pretty darn similar to them too.

I love a lot of the small things they did on the show, some one off quips, or a well timed facial expression. I especially loved when they watched music videos, there were a few just average bits of that, but usually there were at least 2 comments that had me rolling.

I especially loved when they watched the Grim Reaper videos with that fat, gap toothed, lead singer that looked like Meatloaf's uglier brother. That and Ween's "Push the Little Daisies".
And it was the small comments or reactions that really did it. I remember for one video, it had a girl fronting the group, anyway, they cut to the guitar player just playing a note for about 1.5 seconds and Butthead quips, "Ace Ventura, Pet Detective.". Also, I remember, for, I think an Accept (80's German hair metal band)video, there was this gang shown coming after some people in the video, and Butthead quips "Krokus is coming to kick their ass.", now considering how they think or Krokus and hair metal in general, and the whole timing and all, it was just too funny.

I used to love when they'd be watching music videos and there would be a shot of them sitting on the couch watching it, then a shot of the music video, and then a shot of them doing some funny as dance for no reason.

I like the one where they go to the gas station and want to pump gas into a little cup. The attendant won't let them so they go steal someone's lawn mower and bring it back to the station HAHAHA. I think thats what happens.

Anyone know of any dvd box sets coming out with the episodes?

Yes.

November 8th they're going to be releasing Volume 1(in a planned 3 volume set) that will contain approximately 40 shorts hand-picked by Mike Judge on 3 discs. Along with the extra's there will be selected music videos from the show.

Sadly, no actual seasons being released. :(

I absolutely used to worship this show, and still love it today. I'm glad to hear SOMETHING is coming out on DVD, rather than the godawful Time Life bullshit releases.

I used to watch this show back when I was younger

but my parents would always fight me over it tho, saying it was not good for me too watch!

but yet they go off and let me view HalloweeN films in my youngest years!

hehe, I guess back when Beavis and butthead came out they knew they couldn't control me on Michael at all, so they tried on this show! which I still watched anyways!

I still watch it from time to time when it's on MTV2,

but since I'm working now I have no time to stay up late and see it on anymore. :(

I loved watching that show every night. I liked it on Saturdays because they would always have a marathon of it on real late. My favorite was Beavis, & when he did Cornholio. I also loved when he had to get glasses & kept rammin' into the walls & shit, lol.
