OTHER THAN Michael Myers? Being that this is a HalloweeN message board, this poll would be EXTREMELY biased if Michael were one of the choices. So, BESIDES Michael Myers, who is your favorite Modern-Day Horror Franchise Maniac?

Went with Jason. No specific reason.

I'd have to pick Jason or Hannibal. I always loved Jason's way of taking care of business. Just walk right over there with vigor and kill, kill, kill.
However, I've always enjoyed Hannibal's creepy way of getting in your head. His approach to his 'day job' is more stylistic and thought out than the other slashers. For that, I think I will vote for him..

On the realistic side, I'd have to pick Norman.

Yes, I'm the one who voted for Ghostface. I love the Scream movies. I'm a fan of Jason, but he has too many terrible films imo, so Ghostface gets it...

I had to vote for ghostface becasue his voice is creepy as shit on that phone. Plus Ill never forget his costume the first time I saw it when I saw Scream 1 in theatres. That shit scared the hell outta me! Jason was a close second though. Although I must say I like Paramounts version of Jason better than New Lines. Paramount Jason will use anything as a weapon and New Line Jason pretty much sticks to his machete.

Yeah, that's true. I can see them making it into a long DTV series, some of his kills were freakin' awesome. Like when he puts the iron on the guys cheek. :D

I think Leatherface, in the original TCM, is definely the scariest and seemed the most realistic. You actually believed that he was a retarded crazy person.

Damn! Its a tie between Candyman and The Tall Man. See Candyman is getting some love here. They should form a team like Methodman and Redman...Team Man.

My favs are still tied at Hannibal and Freddy. They are both awesome - they both do come in at #2 though, obviously after Michael ;)

I love Jasons movies and the character but his back story isint very cool/scary. A retarded kid gets drowned (or does he), see's his mother killed, seeks revenge. I also love Freddys movies but hes to much of a clown in 4-6 (7 is new nightmare, correct?). I love Ghostface's movies but there is 5 different people to do the killing. Dammit i dont knowww, I guess it would have to be Jason
For me, it's a tie between Leatherface, GhostFace, and Pinhead. After Michael Myers, of course.

I voted other just because none of the choices really appealed to me. After other it would have been Ghostface.
I voted Jason, but i'm taking it back with me post. And saying other which is John Kramer(Jigsaw) of the Saw Franchise.
I voted for Jason Voorhees, but I would have voted for Mrs. Voorhees if she was on the list.

I voted for Norman Bates. Because Psycho was the first horror film i have seen.
Hallow's Eve
07-05-2007, 05:58 AM
I voted Freddy because he is the most entertaining next to Michael. He is the most vocal horror icon. Plus I love the concept of a psycho slasher that chases you in your dreams. You are in his world and he can throw anything at you he can think of. The first 3 films are classic. Bad directing and acting killed the rest of them. Luckily, he was back to form in Freddy vs. Jason.
