Well soon I'm going to post My custom DVD cover for Halloween II: The Nightmare Isn't Over & Halloween II: TV Cut. Now it isn't finalized I would like your guy's opinion on specifically what you guys want.
1st Layout.
The way it is layed out now the front features an all black cover with the original pumkin/skull and at the very bottom is Halloween II: The Nightmare Isn't Over. This is encassed with an orange rectangle a little smaller than the size of the front cover. on the back there is the same rectangle but this time it encasses the same text as the Universal release. The pictures on the back are distorted dimmed down images of laurie in the elevator, Jimmy looking down a hallway, Loomis in the Doyle's front yard, and Michael burning. There is a smaller simple rectangle containing special features and the credits in theatrical poster form. The binder side has Halloween II and the picture from the finale of Michael looking at Loomis.
2nd Layout.
Similar to Layout one but instead of the full pumkin/skull image there is a superimposed image of a large II and only in this II can you see the pumkin/skull image. On the back the images and layout are the same but at the very top there is a wide angle picture of the mysterious halloways of the hospital with Michael walking down them.
For there to be a 2nd Layout I need a higher quality picture of Michael walking down the hallway and this is importand because it would be the running theme for the entire collection. (Get it running theme, Michael walking.....ehhh....ehhh...nevermind) Anyways If you guys could help me out or give any suggestions please do so. This is for us, the Halloween community and since there hasn't been a good cover why not take advantage of this.

Are the legacy ones the ones that Darth Myers did? The orange ones?
If so, I have all those covers on my HD.

He did a few sets. I think the most recent ones were the Samhain collection covers. Those were ORANGE. The texture was like the inside of a pumpkin. Neat shit.

What ever happened to dvdcoverart.com? I can't find it anymore. Did they get sued over copyright infringement or something?

I heard about these legacy covers several times but never saw them. What is the deal with these things, is there a cover for each movie? What do they actually look like, do you have a scan?

They look awesome. I have the old legacy ones. There was a cover for each film, including tv cut, pcut, homecoming, h2 tv I believe too. If I can't find the pictures, I guess I'll scan mine.

Then when you put the spines all together, they form this (came out kinda crooked, so sorry, but you get the idea:

Those are the old ones though. He did another set where the titles matched each one from the film.

Those look so awesome, Ray! Thank you for showing them to me. So are they still available to buy from him? If so, would it be better to just buy the new ones?
HalloweeN63
11-04-2004, 03:54 PM
Unfortunately, no. They are no longer available. I believe the set he printed for me were actually the last set he printed for anybody. His Halloween covers were on dvdcoverart.com for download, but that site no longer exists. OGS had the legacy covers up too when he had first released them, but they were taken down a while ago for reasons I don't know.
I don't think any of his Halloween covers are on the net anywhere for download anymore. It's been so long. If you're willing to try and print them yourself though, I think I know somebody who might still have the files for print, including the Samhain set. I may even have them on a disc somewhere............

no, but you can print them out for yourself.

Is that what you did? Thankfully I have software that can print them out to exact DVD size..I'll even use special paper for them. They're going to look really nice when they come out and will be a neat thing to add to my collection!

I'm sorry Vince, I meant to say if you have the printable files then you can print. The ones slab posted are previews. I'm checking now on this disc to see if I have the printable files. If I do, I will upload them for you to download.
If you want them, just pm me. I've got the full size files.

You sonuvabitch! :D That would be best though Slab. The data on this disc is soooo huge that it just LAGS the fuck out of my computer when I try to open it up.
So Vince, PM Slab about how to get them. I don't know how he'd go about it. He can send each one individually to you or send them to me to host on my server for download if he does not have any webspace to do so. :) Whatever is clever and quicker.

You can't say enough about the samhain cover collection. When you look at the detail and uniformity of the set, it's amazing and rivals a lot of official dvd covers. Darth was cool enough to hook me up with plenty of download credits to get these baby's off dvdcoverart.com way back when he first made them. I have them printed out and fitted into keep cases where they look even nicer!

I like the "Legacy Edition" more than the "Samhain Edition". The pumpkin concept is clever, but I like how the Legacy Edition DVD covers all match side by side. Just my opinion.

The pumpkin layout in the Samhain covers kinda hurts my eyes but I'm just being a bitch... I prefer the Legacy ones...
Breaking the Halloween-themed covers for a sec'...
If anyone remembers from the UHMB, somebody made awesome Child's Play custom covers that, when put together, looked like a complete set... I think it was smokey who made them but I'm not sure. Some help!

They are fan made covers that you can use instead of the stock covers. DarthMyers (DarthVong) made these maybe a year ago.

I completely redoing my covers so that they will look somewhat respectable compared to Darth's ultra cool unbeatable mecha DVD Covers. Will post a pic of the H2 T-Cut DVD Cover when I finish.

And here I thought people forgot about them hahah. I have taken a break from the internet for a while, but while i was doing that, i worked on my covers for a while. They are ALL done, except for some finishing touches (check spelling etc.) They are the good guys style covers. They look cool to me :-d. When I get home from my moms (Wednesday) i will show you guys them :).
About these Halloween covers tho. They are sweet. I love both, but I think I like the samhain collection more. It looks a lot more stylish. But darth released a lot of Legacy sets. Cuz he had the ones posted, then he had the ones that didn't have the numbers in the front.
