"Itīs Late Friday night and Cove Crescent police precinct is being swamped with emergency calls about a bunch of giant clowns with orange fringe hair, big red noses, baggy polka dot suits and
size 50 shoes. Who are zapping people into candy floss cocoons and sucking their blood through striped curly straws..."
I'm sure everyone has seen this crap masterpiece at least once.. I saw it awhile ago when I was young at 3 or 4:00 in the morning at some sleepover party I was at in grade school. I still like watching it every now and then and seeing how retarded all the people act in this movie. Even the tag line "In Space no one can eat ice cream" is fucking stupid.. what the hell does that have to do with anything?
Anyways.. I only bad mouth it cause its great. :)

I've seen this quite a few times and always enjoy it.It was a fun little throwback to the old monster/alien movies of the 50's and 60's.

Good movie if you're into cheesy 80's horror films. I own this on dvd as well and remember reading (or I saw it on the dvd special features) about how the creators wanted to make a sequel... I wonder what happen with that idea?

Yup, from what I remember. I haven't watched this in over a year so I might just have to put this in sometime and watch it again. What about those damn shadow puppets!

I saw this movie a long time ago when I was real young and I remember it scarring me cause I had this thing about clowns. But now I think back on the turning people into cotton candy thing and Im sure that If I were to watch it again, I would just laugh my ass off.
Im assuming the "In space no one can eat ice cream" tag line is supposed to sound similar to the line "In space no one can hear you scream". I think...and if Im right, then thats just dumb.
The movie is great. The idea of the cotten candy was classic.

The Chiodo Bros. directed it.
They did the puppeteering on the recent film Team America.
This movie is a great popcorn flick. I've seen it many x. The clowns methods are very cleverly done. I really love genre-benders like this.
There was a sequel all set up after the dvd sold really well(right up there with Hannibal as one of MGM's biggest selling dvd's when it came out), but I'm not sure what's up with it now.
I'd really like to see it get made.

Because it has been said that in space no one can hear you scream.....they changed it( a play on words ) to try to be funny. I just saw this at Wal-mart a few days ago. I almost considered buying it...I have never seen it before...I might have to go and pick it up to see how good/bad it actually is.

The DVD has got be one of the best "bang for your buck" items ever. The thing is like 10 bucks with a shitload of features. Definately worth buying it wherever you find it.
But yea, the best part is when that clown knocks that biker's head off as DonnieD mentioned.

I think the Chiodo brothers who directed this have something to do with the animation in Tim Burton's upcoming Corpse Bride movie.. at least I think I read that somewhere.. maybe it was Life Aquatic?
Anyways.. I remember reading something about them recently. :)

I remember watching this on HBO or Cinemax when I was real young. All I remembered for the longest time was the acid-like ice cream that was gunked all over people and then the midget clown put the cherry on top...classic!
So awhile back at Best Buy, they had a deal and it only cost $5 so I could not possibly turn it down. It was great watching it again after all those years. It's definitely a bizarre cult classic that seems to be gathering more and more fans each year.

We can only hope for a sequel. Maybe the humans going to the planet of cream pies?

I love this movie. It's what make me not judge films by the their covers. Cause this was just so entertaining.
I want a sequel.
