I just tried going to the halloweencomics website and it's not there at the moment. I hope there will be some news soon. I don't mind waiting either, just like to know what's happening.
Was there ever anything at the comic's website before? I didn't look very often but whenever I did there was just a title page with the "ever been scared?" image, and that was it. That comic was so good, I hope there will be more.

I think its a great idea. I would definitly buy them. i would like slight differences, though and not just the exact same events and dialogue.

I feel the same Rabbit, but I wouldn't want it to change what happened in the films but to be like a special edition to the films by extending some scenes and adding story elements that weren't expanded upon in the films. Like Michael's life in Smiths Grove, Tommy's torchered memory of the Bogeyman coming to get him as he gets older. Sheriff Brackett's life and how it changed after Annie's death as well as Ben Meeker's coming in as the new Sheriff. It could go on and on. I think it sounds fun.

I agree, except most of the story ideas you were talking about:

The first three were all dealt with in Chaos! three comics. The first comic picked up after H6 and H20, and had Tommy reading through Dr. Loomis' notes on Michael. It set up a whole flashback storytelling element which showed Michael's formative years at Smith's Grove, before the mask. It culminates with Michael killing Loomis' fiancee, which was cool because it gave more reason behind Loomis' drive to pursue Michael throughout the film series. The second and third follow Tommy as he meets up with Sherriff Brackett, who has returned to Haddonfield and sheds a little more light on Michael's past. Lindsay (little girl from the first movie) shows up and gets involved, and eventually she and Tommy take on Michael at the Myers' House. Except it isn't Michael behind the mask, its . . .
I'm not gonna give it away if you haven't read it, cuz its somewhat of a shocker, but at the same time these books don't cause any discrepancies with the films. In fact, the comics of this series actually help do several things:
1.) Tie up loose storylines from H6 (What happened to Tommy? Well now you get to find out)
2.) Give more background into Michael Myers and actually add to the character motivations set forth in the series (especially Loomis and Michael himself)
3.) Connect H4-H6 to H20, while still allowing the films to ignore the events of each other
4.) Provide a perfectly unexpected set up for Laurie being in the mental hospital at the beginning of Halloween: Ressurection
Check them out if you haven't gotten a chance. I'm gonna be posting a chronology/timeline for the Halloween films/comics/novels (all the licensed Halloween fiction basically) and sets up its order. Look for it on the main Halloween board.

Thanks for the news Stefan.
I am very pleased that stories like these continue where the films left off, giving fans official material to entertain ourselves until the next film is released.
I must say that I am a bit disappointed that the storyline isn't left open to where the possibility of the Chaos Comics written by Daniel Farrands could have been included. Understanding that "currently" they are only using the H1, H2, H20 and H:R storyline, it would have been an amazing piece of writing if you could have done it without contradicting what that had established. That was my only issue with One Good Scare in having Lindsay Wallace in it. It was a really good story though. Please don't take this as negative critisism, cause I do like your work. I just wanted to add that I would have enjoyed the possibility of leaving things in the other storyline available. Anyhow, good luck and I can't wait to read Sam, Autopsis and the possible Blackout.

I really wish a company like IDW or someone else would start publishing Halloween comics. I see ones for Leatherface, Jason and Freddy but not Michael. Michael gets no love at all and they wonder why no one outside of us Halloween fanatics knows little about him.

There are a few Halloween comics out there, including a very good one written by Stefan Hutchinson that's included with the Halloween: 25 Years Of Terror DVD.
Merged with existing topic.:)
