View Full Version : Sexually frustrated slashers......

I have taken quite a notice long ago that every single slasher seems to be sexually frustrated in some way.

Jason: always hacking up people doing the dirty. It's like the guy is jealous or something. Maybe he is pissed off only because he wasn't able to do the nookie before he died. Get the man a hooker, maybe that would calm him down a bit.

Freddy: straight up kiddie pedo. I believe this guy symbolizes sexual confusion, which results in misplaced anger. He really isn't angry at those elm street kids, he is angry at himself for being a sick bastard.

Myers: murders for the first time right after seeing his sister do the cha-cha off camera. Abadonment issues? Perhaps the mere thought of sex is viewed as so impure to this guy that he feels he must kill all of his offspring to stop them from having sex with others.

So what do you Halloween fanatics think? Did I hit the nail on the head, or am I off my rocker, or both?

that is due to the ritualistic background of horror movies:who made sex was punished in a way or in another (Judith Myers die murdered by her brother,Freddy died burned by the victims' parents and so on)or who says "I'll be right back" does never return .
There's also some lurkin' moralism in it

I think you're onto something. How about they have a Freddy vs Jason vs Michael, and they all have their final showdown at the Bunny Ranch in Nevada.

They could all get call girls and see who can out last the other one.

Leatherface showed some definate sexual frustration in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2... using his 'saw like that...

I think Michael definitely has some serious sexual frustration going on.. killing people is his way of calming it down. Just listen to how hard he's breathing when he kills Linda in H1.. he must be enjoying himself a bit. :)

Oh, and can't forget all the wonderful dialogue!
You have one choice, boy: sex or the saw. Sex is, well, nobody knows. But the saw, the saw is family!

Interesting notion ZC, I especially like the one on Freddy and misplaced anger. A person who exerts his frustration outward onto others when in reality it is the 'demons' from within that need to be conquered.

He kills because while he was drowning the horny teens that were supposed to be watching out for him were shagging like big fluffy shaggy things.

Freddy: straight up kiddie pedo. I believe this guy symbolizes sexual confusion, which results in misplaced anger. He really isn't angry at those elm street kids, he is angry at himself for being a sick bastard.

He's not mad at the kids OR his self. He's pissed at the parents who torched his sick ass.

Myers: murders for the first time right after seeing his sister do the cha-cha off camera. Abadonment issues? Perhaps the mere thought of sex is viewed as so impure to this guy that he feels he must kill all of his offspring to stop them from having sex with others.

He must have a lot of built up sexual frustration. Although I only take notice of the original I will have to disagree with the offspring thing. But I noticed Mike had a thing for strangulation in H1. Could be something to do with sexual frustration. Because basicly, when he get's his hands on his victims they are well and truly fucked...lol

Uhh buddy, this discussion was held 2 years ago. If you want to actually add to it, then thats fine, but don't resurrect it just to say something like that.

Maybe he was choking his victims because he really wanted to choke something else hahaha.

Okay, that was actually pretty funny.

Also, whoever has seen the H2 TV Cut, there is an extended scene in the hot tub room where Karen is licking Michael's fingers and they cut to angle of Michael getting aroused by it. He's rolling his eyes into the back of his head, closing them like he is really enjoying it. It looks like he is having a "semi-orgasm."

I just watched 3 different DVD's just in case there was some difference. I didn't see Michael do anything out of the ordinary. When Karen took his hand he just looked down at her and when she turned and screamed he looked up and away, which is a mistake in the movie.

Really? Guess I misinterpreted it. I haven't seen the TV Cut since 2002. Or it might have been just shown on AMC, but I doubt it.

That's really weird, and something I've never noticed before. There's a reason for that sean ;). There is no version of Halloween II where Michael gets aroused, rolls his eyes, or anything of the like. This might explain why many of you had no idea what he was talking about heh.

Angela from Sleepaway Camp. That girl needs to get laid and stop being so up tight.

This is statement is not to offend anyone on the board.
I sometimes think that the killers reflect the people who watch the films. (Teens in particular) The average adolescent is probably one of the most sexual agressive beings on earth. They have no experience, no idea, no nothing of what sex is. They often check out horror films not for the film itself, but for the stereotypical sex scenes depicted into the films. They can familiarize themselves with Michael, Jason, or Freddy, which is why the characters have lasted so long with our culture/media.

I think that not all killers are sexually frustrated, but most of them are. Perhaps they are angry because they never had the chance to experience the joys of... well you know. But that is just my opinion.

I'd never say Jason and Michael are sexually frustrated, they just don't have those feelings at all, they are incapable of them and they jsut aren't part of their beign in any way.

Now Leatherface from TCM 2, that was a sexually frustrated killer.
