How many of you thought that 'The Rage: Carrie 2' kicked serious butt? The music rocked and the revenge-finale was one of the most powerful things ever captured on film!
What do you guys think? :D

I liked the movie. It was basically a remake of the first but it had its moments like you mentioned with the finale. Emily Bergl had a nice vulnerable performance that made you feel for her.

Didn't care for it too much. It's hard to follow in the shoes of the original....i still own it though;)

I thought it sucked as much as the remake. This sequel was SO not necessary to make. I will not have it in my DVD collection!

I watched this when it was on TV, and thought it was decent enough. Sure, there wasn't need for a sequel, and the original is still miles better, but The Rage still had it's moments. And it wasn't as goofy as I thought it was going to be.

"Good sequel, but the first one was better!" I really enjoyed it and I bought it, but I dont' watch it very much like I should. The party sequence was definately awesome.

I thought it was acceptable. It was more of a remake of sorts. I love the scene where we go back to the burnt down school from Carrie. Other than that it was ok.

Funnily enough, I saw Carrie 2 in the HMV sale today, and thought of this thread! I didn't want to buy it though.

I liked it, it was pretty good in my opinion. I liked the orignal the most, but it was ok. I thought it was a pretty good sequel for its time.

It was a good movie and much better than I thought it would be.
The pool scene where that guy gets his genital speared off still makes me wince.

Eh, the Rage is an ok flick. But the original is much, much better in my opinion. It's a movie I would not add to my shelf, though.

i thought it was SO unnecessary at first, so I never bothered with it in theaters (actually, couldn't get in because I was younger).
After renting it though, really surprised me. Acceptable and fun times.
Watch the 'remake' of Carrie, the made for tv crapfest and you'll love this.

I hated the remake of Carrie. I kind of wish they would just leave some of Kings movies alone, or add sequels. Sometimes, remakes suck. I would pick The Rage Carrie 2 over the remake anyday.

I voted "Good sequel, but the first one was better!" because I did enjoy the film. However the sequal has a made-for-tv kind of feel to it. I didn't love it, but it's worth a watch every now and again when it's on tv. It isn't something I'll go out and buy though.

idk........gimme Carrie's bulging eyes over that chick's expanding tattoo anyday!
It WAS nice to see that scallywag from Home Improvement get speared in the nads, LOL

Being a big fan of Carrie, I was nervous when this one came out. But I was pleasantly surprised, and it's since become a favorite sequel of mine in the genre. I've heard people label it "teenybopper", but in reality, when you look at the original Carrie, that was teenybopper for it's time. I think it's just that the "teenybopper" of today has evolved into something much more....
Rachel is an updated, modern Carrie, who is more independent, less mousy, and a strong character. The issues she faces in this movie, are modern issues, and the movie did a good job with modernizing the classic story of the loner, the outcast.
Great soundtrack too :).

I'd have to say it was good but the first will always be the best one
