dling now...thank you! :9
forgot to write my critique!...oh my. i was blown away by the both of them. i liked how on the jason one, you put cuts of the real mv of the song in it, and i admire that, because DAMN that must've been hard to do by having the song match with the video as they were singing.
lol i know a thing or two about mv making and judging by the quality, unless your computer has a super-mega-ultra large harddrive, this would've been complete hell to make x3. did you rip all the halloween movies off your dvds and clip scenes then, or did you just dl the dvd rips of them and such? lol either way, it must've been hard work...
and what's even greater is that i can see you have a real rhythm with the songs by knowing how to make the clips flow together...
i don't know if any of this made sense or not, but to sum it up- impressive, and i look forward to anything else you dish out. :3

Thanks for the comments. Each video took about 2 weeks to complete since I have to find time after work and spending time with my girlfriend and all that lol. The Halloween video wasn't much trouble. Ripping the DVDs and going through the clips is the hardest thing about it. I had the song in my head and I watched most of the Halloween series and made notes of the scenes I wanted to use. It was almost like doing research but it was fun because I love the Halloween movies so much.
The Friday the 13th video kicked my ass for awhile because it was a challenge syncing the Friday clips with the lyrics and beats while keeping the KoRn video in rhythm. I still want to do a straight non-hybrid Friday the 13th video like I did with Halloween but I haven't found the right song yet. I already have the song I want for the Nightmare on Elm Street compilation but I just need to stop putting it off and get started on it.

that's what i wanted to touch on! the 'writing the notes' part, and yea, i would agree, it must've been really fun finding one of those scenes in the movies that just 'jump' out at you as being worth to clip, despite all the work. then before you know it, you have a buttload of worthy clips and all you have to do is figure the order in which you want them (considering what happens in them to make it look good in time with the song). yes...i'm rambling because i'm putting myself in your place ahaha sorry.
that's cute how you had to juggle your time around with making the both of them x3, and don't worry, everyone procrastinates...lol i don't think i've ever lived a week without putting stuff off.

If I'm not mistaken, That Halloween one made it onto a DVD I just got off ebay.
I remember someone e-mailing me a long time ago asking if he could put the video on DVD. It could be the same person. I told him I didn't care because I don't really make videos for money or anything. It's just a hobby. That's cool that it's getting around on DVD though :)

I thought a really bizarre music video would be set to The Strokes. Just an idea.

It might have been me asking a long time ago. You know how much i love those for Halloween & Friday and i want to put them on DVD with a few others i have. I'm sure i asked permission out of respect but i'm not doing it to sell, this is just to pop in on my TV every once in a while instead of watching them on the computer screen;)

No I don't think he means you, this was from someone who is selling alternate versions of Halloween movies on ebay.
I forget which one it's on either Halloween 6 Tv-cut or the Halloween 7 workprint version.
Oh and this is the same person who bought my projects and is now offering them himself.
Now I know how Mojo must feel..
Another person on ebay stole the information I use to post my auctions and used it for his..

I think the jason one is perfect... the video of jason goes perfect with the music
Since my host gave me more bandwidth I'm able to share better quality versions now. I've always been bothered by the amount of compression I've had to use on the videos to save on bandwidth so I cleaned them up a bit, got rid of some artifacts, made some color corrections here and there and I've put out new versions.
The Halloween video file size has jumped from 23MB to 36MB and the Friday/KoRn video jumped from 42 to about 50MB.

Cool, I liked them before the way they were, but I'll check them out again to see the changes.
I am doing the same thing with my videos, triming the file sizes so that they load faster.
check them out when you get a chance :)

When I get home I definitely will. I'm just killing time at work right now. The firewall here won't let me go into sites like angelfire...always blocks me
