In the scene when Michael takes off his mask and shows his face to Laurie, do you think he got that idea for the scene from Halloween 5 when Jamie saw what Michael looked liked?

no he didnt get it from H5. Jamie asked to see his face, in robs michael just took it off cause maybe laurie would remember him.

I'm going to say no. Clearly, he wanted to seerate it from the other sequels as much as possible.

I doubt it.

I highly doubt it, as he has said that he doesn't care for the sequels all that much if you take him at his word.

I realize both scenes are different since Jamie asked him to take off the mask, where as Laurie did not. I only thought they were similar because of the fact Michael took off his mask and it was not done in any one since Halloween 5.

i dont think he did.... if anything h5 would end up being the movie that is least borrowed from in any way....although i did love that house....

The house is fine under any other circumstance except the one it was used for.

Had it been another film, I might actually like it.

As for the topic at hand, I agree that if I was making the film to reboot the series, H5 is where i would not look in terms of good ideas.

I know I certainly thought about it.

Not a chance. :D

As the setting for a stand alone horror film, it has promise, but it screws with the visual continuity of a franchise in this case.

When I first saw it, I thought the same thing about the reference.
