A classic. It has no DVD release though. Rumor is that this and Monster Squad are both lost 'films'. Both were made by the same director.

I would call this Tom Atkins masterpiece.

I've heard about this movie. Is it where Zombies are invading and a guy in a Radio station is the only one that knows whats going on? If it isnt that then what is that movie called?

I'm not sure which movie you're talking about there. But NOTC is about these slugs from outer space who find their way to earth and start leaping into peoples mouths, turning them into zombies while laying eggs in their brains. Tom "Thrill Me!" Atkins and couple of college kids are the ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN STOP IT! It's an awesome movie from start to finish; it totally sums up everything I love about horror movies. Well worth tracking down.

I haven't seen this. I need to check it out because it has Tom Atkins in it. Funny quote at the begging of the thread.

Night of the Creeps was no where near the greatest but it is alot of fun to watch and the main reason why is his performance. Classic line he had.

It's a fun 50's-esque zombie movie.

Any flick with Atkins is destined for greatness. :D I'd buy him a Miller High Life for sure.

Overall, NotC is a really enjoyable flick. It sort of has the feel of an 80's teen comedy, but with elements of a zombie flick. I have this on DVDr, but I really wish it'd get an official DVD release.

It was a cool concept that mixed sci fi with horror and college comedy in the vein of "Animal House". I believe it deffinitely inspired the film "Slither". Tom Atkins is a blast!

Geez...that was a long time ago. Well, I'm satisfied for now, I guess, seeing I have the bootleg DVD (which is just a cleaned up version of the VHS) with both endings along with a DVD-R of the HD version that aired on MonstersHD.

Hopefully one day it finally gets an official release just so I can have a interviews, maybe a documentary, and of course a Dekker commentary.

If The Burning got the R1 treatment, this could too, but I am not optimistic or anything, as we are still waiting for a Phantasm 2 DVD.

I was hoping to ask if this was available in a special edition or collector's edition dvd but having read all your posts i'm sad to hear it's not on dvd.

I really loved this movie when it came out. I have been trying to track it down again on vhs ever since my buddy borrowed it and never returned it.
:censored:

Anyone know of a mail order place that still sells this?
(I know EBAY might eventually have one but i hate EBAY lol)

Hell has frozen over....

I read this right when I woke up this morning... fantastic news. Hopefully, like Dekker said, we'll get a blu-ray release as well. I have a 12GB TS file of the Monsters HD 1080telecast sitting in my PS3 and its probably the film I watch the most ever since I bought my HDTV/PS3. Its without a doubt absolutely breathtakingly beautiful watching Atkins' mustache in HD. It almost feels as if you can reach out to the TV and touch the furry little caterpillar. And what's even better is every time I watch the HD rip, its like rediscovering the movie all over again (wish I could say the same for the Dawn of the Dead blu-ray).

Its amazing. So I'd definitely buy a blu-ray of this flick.

Lucky. My DVHS recording had out of sync audio.

This movie got me addicted to The Diamonds' The Stroll.

Another movie I saw last year when I got FearNet on Comcast (The Blob remake, Saw, Phantasm II, 976-Evil) that turned out to be overly hyped up and a huge disappointment. The second I saw it on the list of movies on FearNet- I watched it. And it completely bored me.

Cannot describe how much I love this movie. Tom Atkins is pretty much fucking God in the movie. Just such an insanely fun movie that only the 80s could have produced, and one of my all time favorite midnight movies. Many a night has been spent with friends loving this movie while getting drunk and blazin' up. Such a great cheesy 80s flick.

Damn, I really need to get a DVD copy of this, my VHS is beat to shit.
