How about this one? Jill Schoelen (sp?) is the heroine in this. It's about those college kids who raise money for the Drama class by putting on an all-night horror fest at the local theatre.
I found it very interesting, funny, "cheeky", and VERY creepy when it needed to be.
Two thumbs.

I've never seen it, but I did read the plot on a website, and it looks very interesting. I might give a rent, thanks for the recommendation. ;)

No, there is no gore. It's not a gore-fest, chop-them-up film. It's a great, scary movie. You don't need blood dripping out of your eyes to make something scary all the time.
Cheers.

cool...someone remembers this one? I love this movie back in high school, of course it's kinda hard to find it nowadays:(
granted there's not much gore in this, but at least it has it's moments thanks in part to Dee Wallace Stone, the late Tom Villard (aka Toby) and the late great Ray Walston (aloha:( ) even the tagline was creepy: "Buy a bag, go home in box."

I read popcorn and thought it was a thread asking if you eat popcorn while watching horror movies. I never heard of a movie actually called Popcorn though.

Horror films don't have to have gore in them to be great, IMO
Thanks for reminding me of this movie, Annie!

I saw this for the first time a few years ago when I picked it up at the video store based on the cover art.I found it to be a really fun, enjoyable movie. The kills are pretty tame but I think seeing as how this movie works like one of those old B movies that are shown at the horrorthon,it works better that way.
I recently bought it and watched it last night. Its still as enjoyable now as it was the last time I saw it a few years ago.Plus Jill Schoelen is just so damn cute :D

Yes, I also enjoyed Jill I liked the killings because they weren't over the top yet still creepy as shit.
Well, Tabby, I'm a softie for brown-haired guys anyway. That seems to be a subconscious pre-requisite for me.
;)
And of course, if it's curly or wavy, that's a plus as well.

well, I am still on the prowl for this classic and turning up empty. but with Halloween around the bend, I can only hope.
and Annie, granted curly haired make me swoon hell even Tony Roberts who played the professor was to die for (no pun intended) but ever since we last spoke, I've gone from cute curly haired cherubs to the ones whose hairlines are thinning. :(

You're kidding, you can't find it anywhere??? Have you tried Amazon? Let me look.

Hey, even thinning hair is sexy.
I've got my eyes (and hormones) on a certain guy who's got thick, beautiful brown wavy hair. I'm not telling, though, because I'll probably get massacred in here.
