Funhouse. They spook me anyways so it seems like it could be good. You got a plot for it?

I saw Funhouse when I was a lil kid and it freeked me out!! but I watched it again a year or so ago and it was not what it was a long long time ago. Still it's creepy but it's not all that

I wouldn't know. I taped it off Monsterfest last year. Good flick, though. I enjoyed it.

Is that the one where those teens are trapped in the Funhouse and they have to battle the clowns and all???

There's also another one I thought of, where the kids' fantasies are played out, but it kills them.

two teenage couples are trapped in the Funhouse all night and are being stalked by a mutant killer in a frankenstein outfit/mask - very creepy film - I think it came out the same time as MY BLOODY VALENTINE

Frankenstein, man, Frankenstein.

I saw this movie some forgotten Friday night on AMC. Let's just say I had a bit of trouble sleeping afterwards.

The movie definately is a classic slasher film, and one of Tobe Hooper's best films(along with TCM, Poltergeist, and The Toolbox Murders).

i agree its one of his best. that 'frankenstein' character is one of the best things about it....you think its going to be just some typical slasher movie, but uh uh.

Great movie. Definitely one of Hooper's best.

No extras on the re-issue as I just bought it.

Good movie. It, like Sleepaway Camp, had a real underlying weirdness to it.

I actually liked this movie...it was creepy in a weird way, and had some decent characters- I hated when the chick in the vent was killed- and that was freaky as hell. Good flick.

It would be kinda cool to have a remake of Funhouse, as long as it was worth seeing.

I just bought this DVD yesterday because I saw it on a list of greatest horror movies (or something like that), on MSN.

I haven't watched it yet, and had never even heard of it until two weeks ago, but the cover looks creepy

i liked the movie. wasn't the girl the same girl who played in poltergeist as carol ann's sister?

It was a pretty solid horror movie. The plot was good, which is a rarity with "slasher" films. I liked how it took awhile for the killing to start, I actually enjoyed watching the characters and the creepy little eerie "foreshadowing it had going on for the first part of the film. And it relies on the story instead of gore, which also scores this one points in my book.

I would have found it creepy a couple years ago, but I rarely find anything that scares me anymore, especially older horror movies. but definitely worth checking out.

The only thing I didn't like was the cover. There was this freaky ass clown on the cover, but I don't think I saw one clown in the whole movie.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, I say! :p

Got the VHS. I've had it for quite a while. It's one of my favorite dumb old b-movies along with Ghoulies.:p

The actual "creature" is really freaky looking and teh make up effects are pretty effective. The film has a very claustrophobic feel about it

I picked up the Dean Koontz novel based on the movie at the library last week. Thus far, it's a good read.

I'm not trying to pick on you, and I'm sorry for sounding like a bitch, but: Why do people always do that? If you want to know if it's suggested or not, read through at least some of the thread. Everyone posts up reviews and thoughts. I'm sorry, it just seems a little silly to me to go into a thread full of reviews for a specific movie and ask if it's suggested or not. Thats the point of every post in the thread.
Well, technically this particular post doesn't review the movie, but you get the point ;)

Just a friendly bit of criticism. Feel free to tell me to fuck off :fuckoff:

I think that one there is "Stephen kings IT" ever since I saw that movie I hated clowns!

I love the shots of the mechanical clowns and other creepy aspects of the carnival, also the kid's walk to the carnval alone and escaping. Liek I said before, it had this real sort of Lynchian weirdness to it like Sleepaway Camp. In what other movie is there a fortune telling gypsy giving a freakishly deformed mutant monster psychop killer in a frankenstein mask an h-job for cash.

I thought this film was pretty good. It seems like it took the teenager forever to get to the funhouse, but once they got in it, that's when it got interesting. And who does love that mechanical laughing woman on top of the funhouse.

Here's the trailer for those who haven't seen the film:

I love the Funhouse, it had some creepy moments :). There's just something disturbing about animatronics (enough to keep me from spending the night anywhere near one), the carney was a whacko, the the killer? Hilarious and distrubing. A great little flick for anyone's collection. Barnes and Noble has in in stock in the stores.
