June 20th,2003. The day I began to get excited about Halloween 9. The day it was announced on the official site that news was "coming soon". Yet here I sit, almost a year and a half later, and still no news. :(

My only expectation of the next halloween flick is to incorporate the storylines of 4-6, I'm a huge fan of those storylines. Plus those stories need to be finished.

Very simple. The franchise cannot exist without root characters like Loomis or Laurie. I refuse to accept that Laurie is dead and think the producers owe it to us for a fitting final chapter. I envision a teaser that slowly zooms in on a motionless Laurie laying on the sanitarium lawn. Just as we zoom in on her eye, her eyelid opens and the Halloween 9 logo appears. JLC is talking retirement and a final showdown would be the perfect bookend to her career. Who is with me?

I know, I know: Patience, calm down, take a chill pill, well the news will come eventually. I've heard it all, but lets be realistic here. Halloweenmovies.com promised, almost A FULL YEAR AGO, that news on a Halloween 9 was coming SOON. Now I know the site claimed there were mistakes made and the news would come. But for goodness sakes, there is a logo saying the news is coming soon on the main index of the site, it has been there for 7 months now! Now if you made a mistake in saying the news was going to be available thats fine, but when you leave that logo up there, well that is just borderlining false-advertising. I respect Mr. Anthony Masi, and I realize he is doing his best, but I really feel strongly about this issue.

Well that's the thing. For example....Josh Hartnett....we all know that Hartnett will never star in another Halloween movie, he looks down on the Halloween movies :mad:

I don't know about Hartnetts career being in the toliet, but his movies aren't exactly doing Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt like business. He might come back if the price is right and if he feels he needs the exposure, but I doubt it. Judging by his comments on the extras for the H2O dvd, he wasn't thrilled about being in a HALLOWEEN movie to begin with.

Maybe, but if they gave us some explanation as to why H9 news is being delayed that might help things. Just be honest and say, "look, we ran into this or that problem and H9 won't be out as soon as we had planned". THEN take the "H9 news coming soon" logo down.

Pay attention. Numerous announcements like this one have already been made, particularly on the UHMB. The news is delayed, as I imagine production is delayed. No one's trying to pull a fast one on you, nothing's going on secretly, things just aren't happening.

Now guys don't have a go at me because i found this on IMDb's halloween 9 forum and i just thought i should post it here so don't get angryy with me because it's only a roumer. So this is what i found:

Akkad's hired Forgotten's and When a Stranger Calls writer to team up with the new writer. www.imdb.com has posted Damien Cain in the Halloween 9 as writer and director and they dont lie. That is all the proof for you people. You never believed me but look at the truth, its right there on imdb's site. They did however, haven't posted the real plot outline which is rumored to surface by Halloween to keep the Halloween fans on their toes. Damien apparently got a call from Malek and they want him to direct. They feel that they may have a better chance of a writer directing the film with his own vision. Damien said despite rumors of his plot, it is very twisty and different than most of the past sequels. He then stated that the film will blow any of the sequels away, including the original. He also goes on saying, it has the Halloween atmosphere that the sequels lacked of and Michael Myer's has a lot of different moves in his vision of the character. You actually see what went on as Michael grew up in Smith's Groove. The film evolves around Judith myer's and secrets that get discovered.


I think this could be a good direction for the halloween films because it's time that we should recieve some answers (and not answers which have anything to do with a stupid curse!).

But i think they should set it in 2004/2005 (whenever its out) but have them find CCTV footage of michael all those years back so 98% of the film can be set now but some of it could be flashbacks using the video tape.
i dont think they should have some sort of prequal!

Since then it is a known fact that this damien cain kid posts stuff under that name saying he is the director, and then creates different names confirming that he in fact is the director of the movie.

Yeah so where ever you got that info from, it was infact from the same person who says he is Damien Cain. You wouldnt believe how many user names the kid posts under. We got a brother of his, cousin, the set creator for the film, actor in the movie....you wouldnt believe it.

Truth be told, I'm writing the sequel. It's going to mix Eastern style samurai tactics and the best parts of The Matrix: The black leather outfits. I'll be taking Myers to a place he's never been before. The North Pole. Yes, he'll be killing elves and caribou this year. I normally don't bother posting rumors, but I figured I'd make an exception this time since there have been no updates on the film for a long ass time. Originally there were reports that the release would be this Halloween, but with no new updates on the project, it doesn't seem very likely now. Regardless, I thought I'd post this rumor for those who'd like to hear some sort of movement with the project:

Now a release date has been set for late July 2005. Also the working title is HalloweeN: Family Reunion. A lot of people working with the script hate this title so it is proberly going to change.

Now the following is the plot I was shown; ***SPOILER***

David Loomis, since his father’s death has been working at Smiths grove. He took over his father’s files except the files of Michael A. Myers, which were kept hidden. When suddenly the body of John Tate is found, rumours fly that Michael has returned to Haddonfield. Loomis receives a phone call asking for Dr. Sam Loomis, the caller only to find that his son has taken over. Unaware that David has been not been told of Michael Myers infamous reign of terror, the caller tells all. In force, David finds his fathers files on Myers and discovers the last 25 years of the Myers saga. Eager to fulfil his father’s wishes, David goes to Haddonfield, to wait for Michael.

You can pretty much rule it out as a rumor, but it sure is interesting one none-the-less.

Hahaha.. it's funny that you should post that picture "proving" the image is from the Resurrection poster... I did the exact same thing back when this rumor started about a year ago.

Here's the story on it. It was/is a real script. It's not being used for Halloween 9. It was looked at by the Akkads. That's what I remember from the debacle back in the day. The "poster" was printed out for the cover of the script as a gimmick to get them to read it. I remember the thing that served as the death knell for this script idea was that the script got leaked to the net. And that, as they say, is that.

Very old news.
