Bring it on.

Considering how much I loved both 28 Days Later and its sequel, I'd be all for this.

Yeah, this is no more than we knew months back unfortunately.. the date on the article is "Friday, July 13, 2007", so yeah, as much as I want it, I'm not letting a 5 month old news article get my hopes up :p

P.S. Jeremy will be annoyed seeing this in the zombie section :p

Haha I know, I just thought I would bring it up so we could discuss ideas and such.

Awesome this news excites me because at least another sequel is being recognized as a possibility. I totally think it will happen and I will most definitely see it considering how much I love the first two films. Hell, they could go all the way to 28 Decades Later and I'd still follow it. :D

In terms of this going into the Zombie section, I would have been stubborn about that a few years back or so but I consider the 28 films to be zombie related because they have that apocalyptic feel. This isn't like considering the Evil Dead Deadites to be zombies or anything like that, but these films do relate to that end-of-the-world feel, which is what makes a zombie film for me.

So yup, I can't wait! :yeah:

I'd like it if they made this a trilogy. Anything beyond 28 Months Later might get a little silly.

Very true. I can't see 28 years later working. I am very excited to see the next installment. I thought 28 weeks Later was excellent.

To me, the titles already are pretty cheesy starting with 28 Weeks Later. To go Days, Weeks Months and possibly go longer if each film continues to be successful is kind of funny. However if they begin changing the titles slightly to not keep going that route would be fine by me but even then, I would still continue to support this series like I said previously. I would much rather see a 28 Weeks Later than one more American remake of a Japanese horror if you ask me.

Well there's not much else you could go with. I personally would think it would be wierd if a third film was made and they didn't call it 28 Months Later.

I really don't care what they call it. I think both movies so far have been way way above par. I just watched the second one again yesterday... very well done. I look forward to seeing a sequel.. I wonder what the setting would be. At the end of Weeks, the rage hits France.. but it would be decimated before 28 weeks.

They could always do the prequel of 28 hours later? 28 minutes later? 28 seconds later??? Talk about a short story.

Danny Boyle said that it will most likely be set in Russia and not France, but will enventually spread to France....but who knows, it is too early to tell.

I haven't seen 28 weeks later yet but I have it at home waiting to be watched (possibly tonight?).

After seeing the first installment and hearing the buzz about 28 weeks later, I welcome the trilogy. Apocalypse movies rock!

Oh dude! You have to watch Weeks. It is a great movie, no matter how poor it did at the box office.

A sequel in the 28 Days Later series entitled 28 Months Later has been rumored for some time. Whenever director Danny Boyle surfaces to promote a new movie, the topic is breached.

Now there might be a director attached.

Reporting from the Sitges Film Festival, Arrow in the Head's John Fallon was tipped off that Paul Andrew Williams is circling the director's chair for the threequel. Williams previously helmed the horror-comedy The Cottage starring Andy Serkis. The film is a reverent take on the slasher genre. If Williams is attached, he may have to temper the humor that was a particular strength in the Cottage.

Arrow didn't get any other updates about Months (i.e. how close it is to pre-production), so keep it here for the latest!

I haven't heard anything else.
As far as Months goes, I'd gladly welcome a trilogy, but that should do it. 28 Weeks Later was highly comparible to the first one, and if they play their cards right, they can wrap up this little package nicely. Russia would be very interesting as a change in scenery.

Yer this could work but I do hope they go back to the original characters in the first movie and not do what they did in 28 weeks where it was random people, Dont get me wrong I loved 28 weeks, But I loved the characters of 28 days more and wished to see more of them

Why always with the 28? The sequal should have been like 2 weeks later and this new one should be called something like 3 months later. I wonder if we get a prequal. '28 Dawns earlier'.

That would be very bad. Haha...as I stated before, I like them so far, but after a trilogy, I think it'll be enough.

I really liked the first movie and the first 20 minutes of the second movie but the rest of 'Weeks was shite. I've had enough of Boyle zombies...but then I am a whore for the zombie flicks so I'll go see it! Dammit!

Twisted Sister

Haha...once you're hooked.

I liked the scenes at the farmhouse - terrifying, but the whole immunity thing and the military thing kind of put it in a Dawn Remake/Action type league for me. I like the meloncholy feel of the first one better.

I it goes in Chronologic order it would be 28 moths later, or 28 days after the last 28 weeks after 28 days later but that might be a bit too long of a title.
