When watching this trailer (I saw it in theatres before Shaun of the Dead) I got the impression that this is one of those movies where the trailer is far scarier than the movie.

Ive seen info on this phenomena on the discovery channel so its kinda fact mixed in with a good story. This has been the only horror movie trailer that looks halfway descent. Boogeyman and the other scary movie w/ Robert Deniro look really lame ass. I dont think this will be another Village or Blair Witch, I really think it will be a great success. Kind of like when the sixth sense came out.

Well, this will sound kind of silly, but the other day on Dr. Phil, Michael Keaton was a guest on his show. They had screened WHITE NOISE for the entire audience. It was well received. Some said it was the scariest movie they had ever seen. Now I realize that a Dr. Phil audience may be scared much easier than the average Joe, but take it for what you will.

No, you have to be 15 or over to watch a 15, you have to be 13 or older to watch a PG-13.

I think this film won't be VERY scary but it'll be like the grudge where there are loads of jumps...especially if you see it at the theatre with the loud sounds.
I don't think this will be a box office hit though.....#4 or #5 will be it's debut im guessing...

That will depend on what other movies open that weekend and how strong the movies that have already opened still are. I can see White Noise opening at #1 if the competiton is mediocre.

I just saw that White noise is the only film out this week on major release in the US.
I'm sure it'll go straight to the top unless Meet the Fockers keeps it which i'm sure it will (because it's made as much money as the orignal in just two weeks and it's receieved very good reviews so people will keep going to see it) so White noise will either debut at #2 or at the top.

It's amazing that a new movie can come out and totally get my attention. (Living with ADD isn't everything it's cracked up to be) In my opinion, this was probably one of the coolest movies that has come out with an original premise. The only letdown was the end when I called the Gothika-like finish.

Just got back from seeing this and it was okay. A basic 5 or 6 out of 10 for me. It had some moments but kinda dragged along. The one thing though was that it was sad. It pulled at my heart strings seeing the boy's step mother and father die and the mother of the baby also dieing. I hate to see little kids left without parents like that.

The critics do what they are paid to do, make movies seem bad. Really, I think, it's all about just going into a movie, and trying not to think about it too much. I think you'll have more fun that way.
Anyways, White Noise. Yes. Good movie. Keaton did good. I'll admit the beginning moved kind of slow, but it got really good as the movie progressed. I'll be waiting for the DVD.

It was a great movie from beggining until end with a few spooks on the way, it turned out to be one of the better flicks that have been made recently. I thought it was exceptionally good because I really enjoy learning about EVP's and Paranormal/Ghosts. It really didn't seem like too long of a movie perhaps it went too fast, I had to see it again. Great ending too!

White Noise had potential and it was nice to see Michael Keaton back but i thought the material that was present was just not as interesting or as frightening as i had hoped. It seemed as if it borrowed elements from "The Ring" and the ending was a slap in the face. **(out of 4)

I was so excited about this film, that it really ended up letting me down in the end. It began with a great start and left me wanting my money back. I really am disappointed with CGI these days but then again, I don't know how they would have pulled off what they wanted to. I just think it made the film look seriously cheesy and I wasn't all that into the images in the static. Within the last 10 min. the whole audience was snickering...some belting out some good sized laughs.
However, the "cheap scares" (loud surprises and such) were fun and I loved seeing Michael Keaton again, but this will not be a dvd on my wish list.
