How to post an avatar (ie the picture underneath your name!)

1. Click on User CP underneath the banner at the top of the page.

2. Click on Edit Options

3. Scroll to the bottom and click on Change Avatar

4. Click on the button Choose File and select your avatar from your Hard Drive

5. Click on Submit Modifications

I need The Dark Shape's help again!

Dude, the avatar you made for me on UHMB was AWSOME! But unfortunately, I never got to download it to my new comp(I thought UHMB would be there forever).

Any way you could duplicate it for me here?

I think you quoted the wrong post, Ray ;) But I think you may be right -- I don't have any #1FF avatar left on my desktop. I'll make a new one for you, just in case Ray can't find the original work (though bare with me... at the moment, I mostly have New Nightmare material to work with).

Yeah I did. I'm so used to my forums where the quote buttons for posts are on the TOP of the post, rather than the bottom of the posts, like here. Anyway, I'm looking for the image now. If I can find that same image, I can easily recreate it.

Okay, now I'm confused. I could've sworn that Dark Shape made my avatar, but now I'm not sure. The avatar he just made has the exact same letter style as my old avatar, but now I seem to remember H63 having a hand in it as well. I know that Dark Shape was working on the special edition re-edit DVD covers I wanted made for when I get to re-eidt HalloweeN 1 & 2(which was AWESOME, and which I also unfortunately LOST when I got my new comp) as well as HalloweeN 4 & 5(which I don't know if he ever got to finish or not).

Anywho, my old avatar was made from the original VHS release box cover art of Freddy's Revenge, mirrored(so that the glove is on his RIGHT hand) and blackened out below his elbow and to the right where the movie title/print was on the box, and my name in red to the right of his glove.

Here's a few I made really quick out of some good pictures I found. If you "see anything you like" (cheesey I know) and you want me to manipulate it in any way, I'll do it. i.e. colorizing, user name

It was I who made it. Remember when I PM'd you with that avatar I had made? You didn't like the image on it and you said, Do this instead! So I did, and that was the result of the avatar you're now talking about. Anyway, his avatar has the same exact letter styling because he used the same font I did. If you ever get that image again, let me know.

Thanks, seems to be what i'm looking for. Though it is pretty huge in size. Hope it doesnt drastically bring down my computers speed.

It didn't slow down my desktop at home, which was packed with other crap. I have it on my notebook now, and it doesn't seem to have any affect on performance.

Right now I'm using it on my old 400mhz celeron system and it handles nicely. So I don't think you'd have any problems boogeyman87.

It's pretty easy once you start to use it regularly. I still find myself finding new things every once in a while, and I've had it for over a year.

It's there until you reach a certain amount of posts. You'll then move up to Haddonfield High Alumni at 50 posts, Smith Grove Mental Patient at 250 I think, Slasher at 500, and reach custom title status at 1000 posts.

You can either make one yourself to the specifications of size being no more than 150x150, or you could ask an avatar maker to make you one. You pick what you want, or give send pictures, and hopefully they'll make you one.

Actually the pic was already grainy. :D I wish i had done it myself. Takes away the illusion that i'm good at this by revealing my secrets.But hey i did do the font myself and resizing and that stuff. I was suprised i found a font and color that looked alot like Halloween 2.

Not really, there are several new features in CS that help out a lot when your doing color corrections with photographs. I remember one feature, I think its the shadow/highlight feature that allows you tocompletely remove shadows from a photograph. Its insane I tell you! There is also a new file browsing system and 16bit color features.
