I remembered the name Willie from somewhere, and knew it wasn't any of the other movies. So I figured Halloween III, and remembered Willie was Challis' kid. I needed the script to remember his daughter's name, though.

They're both sequels that came out three years after the original :p
The screenplay for Empire was written by Leigh Brackett, and that's also Sheriff Brackett's full name. Although I'm sure you heard his name in H1 as well as H2.

Is it something to do with the endings, like how JC needed a reason for Michael to stalk Laurie so he made them brother and sister. In Star Wars, was the decision to make Luke the son of Darth Vader made on the same basis? Something like that.

ah Myer's old house was going to get tore down but they moved it it is now a chiropractors office. PPL from all over come to see it and ask can they walk the haunted stairs.
