Bruno Mattei, the guy who brought us the delightful films Hell of the Living Dead and Zombi 3 is at it again with Zombies: The Beginning. Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQY0qNp-Y3w

Now we all know what a hack of a director old Bruno is, but we also know that his films are so bad they're funny and this should be no exception.

I love Hell Of The Living Dead!

It is a total Dawn Of The Dead rip-off, but is a lot of fun.

Oh wow that looks horrid, but yet one of those type films you would have a blast watching with a group of friends. So who's place and what time? :D

Sad news from Bruno's Myspace fan club page:

Another great master of Italian exploitation is gone. As Yvette Yzon (star of ZOMBIES THE BEGINNING, THE JAIL) informed us, the maestro of Italian cult cinema passed away earlier today. RIP Bruno, god bless you.... Your cinematic treasures will never be forgotten. Thank you for offering us countless hours of entertainment and enjoyment.

With love and repsect,
Bruno Mattei Fan Club

PS: Funeral will take place at Rome, on the coming Thursday. More details will be posted.

This is bad news.

He will have the cheesy legacy of his films.

They should play Zombi 3 during his wake. Or even the Goblin soundtrack of Zombi 2.

Actually, that's what I want for my death day; the Zombi 2 soundtrack blasting at full volume.

The pallbearers should wear radiation suits.

The pallbearers should wear radiation suits.

That'd be sweet.
