Just tried to order a copy of John Carpenters original HALLOWEEN score on CD - Been told it is no longer available/been deleted - Is this correct ??

Ebay always has them. I got mine from Tower Records - I looked in the soundtracks section for the hell of it, and got real excited when I found it. This was a couple of months ago.
What I need now is the 20th anniversary CD. Maybe Walmart is the way to go.

i saw them at best buy border books and alot of used book stores and msic shops. most places have them or seem to be able to get them here in new hampshire and maine

Go to Amazon.uk, here they have the Best of Halloween cd with the best tracks from the first 6 films including the Silver Shamrock jingle from H3

I ordered it as well as most of the soundtracks for the other movies from Amazon a couple years ago and I still listen to them all the time.
